Hey all, I just wanted to step in and inquire about everyone's favorite epic songs. I'm talking about songs like Stargazer and Don't Wake the Lion. I've been on a kick lately and I'd like to discover some new favorite songs! Are there any hidden gems out there?

Actually my favourite epic song is Faith No More's "Epic"

I love any epic by Edguy, Avantasia or Theocracy.

 

A non HH epic i love is Dire Strait's "Telegraph Road". A simply awesome song.

By epic I take you mean long songs.

 

If so one of my favs is "Heading for Tomorrow" by Gamma Ray, which clocks in around 15 minutes.

Also "Halloween" by Helloween.

Yessir, Dream Theater's Octavarium is one of my favourites. And Neal Morse's Sola Scriptura is pretty much one epic after another.
