Bands That Should NEVER Record Again...

QUEENSRYCHE - c'mon guys did we really need "Operation Mindcrime 2"? How the hell could you ever hope to follow up a masterpiece like that? And your last 2 or 3 studio albums haven't been anything to write home about either...

SKID ROW - Without Bach why bother???

DEF LEPPARD - After the first 3 they don't exist in my collection...by the way a song with Tim McGraw? What were you thinking??

METALLICA - Almost the same statement as I made about LEPPARD...love the fist 4 1/2 & a few songs after that (MEMORY REMAINS, KING NOTHING). The difference is I actually really liked DEATH MAGNETIC, so guys don't press your luck with trying to top that one...

also:

TRIXTER

ENUFF Z'NUFF

SLAUGHTER

PUDDLE OF MUD

STYX

PEARL JAM

POISON

and no boy bands or former members should be allowed in or near a recording studio!!!!!!!!!!

By the way I would LIKE to see a new Y&T disc in the near future....

I agree with all of those except Slaughter....love to see another release by them....

I still hope to hear good new material Slaughter, Poison, Skid Row and Trixter. All still have potential to deliver, imo.

Def Leppard look like they're in trouble after that last album. By FAR their worst studio album since 'On through the night'. Skid Row's 'Thickskin' was an excellent disc and they proved they could do it without Bach, but although 'RPM' was a good disc, it was not Skid Row.

I agree with the rest. Enuff Z'Nuff, sadly, really just need to stop.

Stop kidding around Geoff and take this thread seriously ;)

:rofl2: Oh good god NO - They never had any good material in the first place mate, so no chance of any now. Seriously, why would anyone want anything more from THE 3 worst (of the well known) bands to come out of the whole 80' scene imo. Truly terrible. :puke:

Really? I thought even someone with your poor taste would at least appreciate Trixter? I wonder what silly reasons you have for not liking them?

Easy - Because all 3 of them are complete and utter shite and couldn't write a decent song if they tried.

The poser and cliche reasons for hating Poison and Slaughter I can just write off as wanting to fit in, but Trixter's 'Hear' is a magnificent disc and even for a clown who needs everything to be technically perfect, Steve Brown f*cking shreds too. I am truly blown away by the concept that Trixter don't write good songs but those countless dime-a-dozen bored, tired and uninspired AOR bands do?

Apologies if you have tried, but I get the impression you are very, very unfamiliar with Trixter's music. :D

Honestly?? KISS!!

Sorry, get Ace and Peter back, then yea record a new album, but until then?? God don't with Tommy Thayer.. Please.....

The last time they got Ace and Peter back, we got the (half baked at best) PSYCHO CIRCUS. Um... no thanx.

And a point you would seriously be incorrect on young man.

Add.

A wish you were correct, but unfortunatley you're not. I have owned both discs over the years. I don't anymore - nuff said.

Then how, as a supposed melodic rock fan, could you seriously deny songs like 'Heart of steel', 'One in a Million', 'Only young once', 'Rockin' Horse ', 'Nobody's a Hero' or 'What it takes'? Seriously, I acknowledge the fact that I am no go-to man on AOR as I have no interest in the so called classics, but a melodic rock fan that could not acknowledge songs like these, I don't know. Freakin' suspicious to me. If Shadowman or Overland or any one of the thousand dismal collection of current AOR bands wrote a song that could match any of these I'd be at the flea markets on Sunday selling my testicles for earrings.

Mate - If I don't like a band after I have listened them, I don't like them, end of story. I heard Trixter years and years ago, thought they sucked and moved on. Nothing suspicious at all, just 'cos you like 'em doesn't doesn't mean that everyone else should aswell - you have been wrong before surprisingly.

Your feelings on AOR stuff is pretty similar to mine on some of these shit 'hair' bands, so you should at least understand that people have differing tastes and opinions none being wrong or right.
