Except, what the f*ck is with their fascination for turning attractive girls into short haired man-look-a-likes?

How the fuck do you see all these American shows? why can't I watch any Aussie shows? that hardly seems fair!

Those models are fucking disgusting! I wouldn't touch them if it was the last pussy on earth, I'd die a chronic masterbaiter, I'd fuck Rosseanne Barr before them! get what I'm saying?

NO YOU DI'NT! While I would agree with you about any of the short haired ones, or the really skinny ones there are ALWAYS exceptions in each series. Only a few good ones this time but there's one - Cassidea or something who is actually really, really attractive. I agree there are more moles than not (the two twins make me want to vomit) but there are always a couple of goers.

As for how we see all US TV... the whole world, does, mate. As much as I hate to admit it, you guys seem to the the only ones capable of making a decent show. Trust me wholeheartedly when I say you are missing NOTHING but not seeing Aussie TV.

Except 'Big Brother', which got cancelled anyway. :( And we don't see the US version of that. :(

I've been watching reruns of In The Heat Of The Night and Nash Bridges. I remember watching In The Heat Of The Night when I was a kid. I always loved that show and it still holds up well today. It's a cop show that stands out from the crowd. The show takes place in rural Mississippi instead of the generic NY, LA, San Fran, Chicago or Miami that all cop shows seem to take place. I lived in rural areas most of my life and I can relate more to that than the big city crime. Nash Bridges is still good too. It's not a serious cop show, but still interesting. Don Johnson and Cheech Marin make the show. The fact that Jodi Lyn O'Keefe and Yasmine Bleeth were in the show made it that much better.

While I understand why so many people love the TV Crime Dramas(I love many of them myself) it's hard for me to understand when people don't like great shows that are outside of the box.

For example as menitoned in a thread about it, Harper Island on CBS has done very poorly in ratings but it's an awesome show. What a great idea to have a great murder mystery that you need to follow every week to figure out who the killer is but for some stupid reason it hasn't found much of a home on to many television sets. Another great show that was over way to soon that had great acting and an orignal story line was "Life" on NBC. It had a small but diehard following but while it was a Crime Drama it also had a backstory that created a whole different storyline that went on behind the weekly storyline. I guess some people don't want to have something to think about after the shows over but I'm one of those people that love shows that make me think about it later like "Lost", "Jericho", "Surface" "Invasion", "Prison Break". I love that show that two seasons later something that didn't make sense at the time now makes sense. The payoff for shows like that are icredible if you give them a chance. The thing that drives me crazy about the CSI's of the world(especailly the super lame Miami version) is that week to week there's very rarely anything that connects to a previous episode. Sure Miami does occasionaly but it's so horrilbly campy IMO. I'd say CSI: NY is the only CSI that is worth watching on a regular basis but that's just my opinion. Criminal Minds is a great show for a Crime Drama and is one of the few that keep me on the edge of my seat from week to week.

Another thing that is driving me crazy is Vamprie shows. Don't get wrong I'm a sucker for these things I love True Blood(I'm glad it's on cable and not on network tv so they can do what they want), Moonlight was solid and ended way to soon and of course the show Angel is one of my favs of all time but was way to Adult for the WB/CW audience. Now I read that CW is putting out a show this fall that is basically a huge ripoff of Twilight. That's all we need is a safe show about Vampires made for 12 year old girls. At least when Angel was on it had some balls but I fear this new show will be the lamest of all time. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it. Again thank God(or should I say the devi, haha) that True Blood is on Cable so they can get away with so much more than they would if they were stuck on CBS, Fox, NBC, CW or ABC. Everytime one of the big networks does a show that's outside of the box(meaning not a medical or crime drama) it rarely lasts very long with the show "Lost" being one of the only exceptions. Thank God for all of the shows that are now on Cable to shake things up such as the previous mentioned True Blood, Dexter, Weeds, Brotherhood, Party Down(new show on Starz that is pretty much a Judd Appatow/Veronica Mars reunion that is hilarious), The Beast(sadly there will only be one season of this unless they decide to move on without Swayze), The Cleaner, Leverage, Raising the Bar(yes it's a court room drama but I still find it to be very good with Mark Paul Gosselar of Saved by the Bell fame being very good as the lead character), The Shield(R.I.P.), Nip/Tuck and the awesome Rescue Me.
