LV KIX

Recommended Posts

Of Virtue     -    Sinner

1    .    Hypocrite
2    .    Sinner
3    .    Cold Blooded
4    .    Echoes

Quick, pretty harsh but a cool EP for those who don't mind a scream or two-

Not every song is a hit, but another pretty decent one mini-album. I like some of the gear on this one.

1    .    Never Again
2    .    Jester
3    .    Karma
4    .    Under My Skin
5    .    Losing Control
6    .    Wrong
7    .    Don't Go
8    .    Divided

Bit of a creeper this album, but I dig. Just did a quick little read-up on these guys on wikipedia and seems like there's an interesting history. I knew them from way back when then they released two very solid but pretty unspectacular albums in 2005 and 2007, and then went silent and I kind of forgot about them.

Seems like a bit happened in those years, including their lead vocalist passing in 2014 (R.I.P). Also, possibly of interest, Don Vedda played in this band from 2019-2020.

This new album has actually been released without a lead vocalist in the band, but a host of guest vocalists on every track. Amazingly, it flows very well. The style is more mellow, and I must say, preferable to me. As noted at the start, the songs are instantly nice, but really grow and they're some of my favourites of the year so far now.

Scary Kids Scaring Kids     -    Out of Light

1    .    Nightmare (feat. Spencer Charnas)
2    .    The Dark (feat. Noah Sebastian)
3    .    To the Unknown (feat. Vaines)
4    .    Until You Come Back (feat. Matt Macdonald)
5    .    Knock It All Down (feat. Lil Lotus)
6    .    New Morning (feat. Cove Reber)
7    .    Omens (feat. Spencer Chamberlain)
8    .    Black Hole (feat. Donovan Melero)
9    .    I Wanna Know (feat. Jesse Cash)
10    .    Escape from My Reality (feat. MOD SUN)
11    .    Endlessly Yours (feat. Tyler Posey, Phem)
12    .    For Atlas (feat. Michael Swank)

Listened to this last night. Fantastic album. Agree, these are songs the more you listen the more you love them. Tunes like 'For Atlas', 'Knock it all down', 'New morning', and 'Escape from reality' are some of the best i have heard so far this year.

Yeah mate, fantastic album. If you love it now, I'm sure you'll love it even more in a month or so. Immense replay value, has this one.

Am sure some of you may know them. They have been around for a long time now. Well, in my case, I just discovered them recently and have been listening to this tune on repeat. Killer song.

Another track I enjoy

Yeah, very good band. Been a while... I assume they're no longer together?

They did release an album called 'Renditions' in 2021. Haven't checked it yet.

Hmm, now that you mention it is sounds familiar, as does the track list. But if I consult my records it doesn't look like I've rated it, and thus must have missed it. Looks like it's probably all versions of older songs and acoustics etc. Maybe a couple of new songs included?

Yes new versions of older songs. I think the only new one is the song 'Paramount'.

Out of Cali: Red Devil Vortex

Didn't know what to make of that one so I actually checked out another song from them-

So they are a rock band... just not really sure what to make of them. Sounds a bit thin, and dare I actually say it, but can something be over-produced? Not sure if that's just me listening on a laptop, though. But I'm moderately intrigued.

Good band, always enjoy their gear. Need to check if I actually have this one as I possibly missed it.
