ZZ Top - Live From Texas

:bowdown::drink::banger: choice one there Jez!!!

Why has it taken so long since the last live disc ('Fandango' in 1975 and that was only 35 odd minutes long) to release a live album. This is top quality stuff from a top quality live band.

Let us know what you think of Kiss. I happen to think the new versions are really cool, but I know there has been mixed reaction.

Its cool in places, but overall I just felt they stuck too close to the originals.

Really wished they'd changed things a lil more.

Was nice to see stuff on it from the later era as well, like Forever, as I think its forgotten too often, that other than Australia, nobody outside the USA gave a damn about Kiss until the 80s/90s.

Okay, I am staying well away from Secondspin (and ALL CDs) forever now. But in the biggest modern rock CD haul of my life I picked up this batch, at an average price of us$3.82 a disc. Most were under $3 and as low as $1.08 but the few ones I sought out to get (like Hinder, Disciple, Anberlin, Framing Hanley [thanks Jim]) which were up around the us$7 mark kind of made the average higher than I hoped/expected. Downtown Clowns - s/t (swedish sleaze)

Fifty Sixx - Gun Powder Office (some really great aussie hard rock I'd never heard of before, quite recent modern style)

Innuendo - State of Reality (some polished aussie aor I've never heard of before)

Crunch Factor - s/t (some hard rock for this virtually unknown aussie group)

Vicious - Captured (Jap glam/sleaze)

originals or bootlegs? :tumbsup:

ahahaha, nope they're from a japo trustworth seller. ya know that i'm attack maniax. actually my best man and my sister have the other spare copies(so practically i consider them mine :tumbsup: ). i kept the original cds+vinyls for myself(with different cover artwork in some of them, like revitalize)....now, though, you made me curious and i will have to put them next to those i know they're originals to find out....shame on the japo if he deceived me.... :doh: by the way, i bought all the japanese versions from japo guys. the european ones(iceland recs) were purchased many years ago from rock city, when they used to bring some nice stuff(although overpriced, approximately from 5200 to 5500 drachmas each)
