Stargirl's only entries were here. Reno scared her off. That's hilarious. Just think, if we had agreed with her - or at least humored her - she might've still been around.

who was better... KAZZAR or Method of Mayhem?

Personally I preferred Kazzar ... cos they disappeared quicker!

I'm glad to say I have never heard that Methods of Mayhem disc. I saw poor little Tommy trying to defend it in his 'Tommyland' book. Poor guy.

I think i picked it up from a $2 bargain bin at one stage.

From memory there were 1, maybe 2 songs I thought were ok... and the rest crap. Maybe I should pull it out again and see if that's still the case

AHH!

GLAM JUNKIE!

It's a f*ckin' shitty c.d., not a bottle of wine. Do you actually believe sitting on your shelf for a few years would make it sound any better? :rofl2:

I say make it into a beer coaster and forget you ever heard the band M.O.M.

Da boy is from Binbrook, Ontario only an hour from my place so no dissin' the local talent. If anybody is still searching for a copy of the "Go For Broke" release from 2002, I can probably find a bucketload for under 1$, next to the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC cd's at some grundgy looking shit pawn shops. I'm your man, I can hook you up with the mighty KAZZER.

Does this cover not scream HH? Come on a mix of Beck and the Beastie's.

Peace out!!!

I actually like the Beastie Boys.....I was 12 when Licensed To Ill came out and I was easily persuaded by my peers....please don't shoot me

I remember buying Licensed To Ill along with 2 other tapes in the same store. The other tapes were Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet and Europe - The Final Countdown.

So am I still cool.....right?!?!?! :crying:

You've got this one don't you?

The song "Pedal to the Metal" is about a tough guy on his ski-doo driving on a Northern trail and cruising at 160km (km is kilometeres up here in Canada, roughly 100 miles for you folk) and smakin' the back side of a moose. An absolutely huge radio hit up here.

And the track "When It Rains it Pours" is about the constant oozing flow of maple syrup and sap slopped snow covered ground. Very erotic stuff, us Canadians love to roll it and and fuck butt naked in the sticky snow....I can just feel it....Oh Yeah! It's something you just can't experience in Jersey.

I have no clue who this Kazzem shmuck is, it pains me that he does come from my backyard. You've got Bon Jovi, I've got Kazzem, the Islamic named white guy rapper in a toque, in the middle of summer. :screwy:

What, he's Canadian? I'm so embarrassed! Sorry guys, I didn't know. A pipe bomb has been sent to his adress, it's taken care of. How did this slip through the radar? Once again I'm so very sorry.

how embarrasing

Oh, really. I thought you were. I could find your intro but that may take time. Bedlam just sounds like somewhere in the UK. I did a quick Google thing and I think Ireland came up.

And yes, that is why I hated you. If you're not from the UK I guess you still have potential to be okay. ;)

Bedlam is an asylum somewhere in the UK. It's also where I feel I'm trapped most of the time.

    • New Defiants album finished (and some news concerning Jet Set Junkies). From FB: Yo! getting quite a few questions regarding Jet Set Junkies next release ,and will there be an album .. Straight up - yep. Lee and I had a meeting yesterday - discovered that we had about 9 of the 12 song demos in various states of completion.. So now that the Defiants record is finished - I can go back to finishing this one as well .. Album has a ton of swagger - were just writing a bunch of songs for us that we like .. Stay tuned here and over at the Jet Set page - Until then - I’ll let the music do the Talkin’
    • Is this "II" album recorded back in the early 90s or it it recent recordings of songs written back then? I was trying to work that out. Being partial to Funk Metal, I always enjoyed the debut.
    • KINGOFTHEHILL – ‘II’ (Second unreleased album FnA Records release) [2023] *Exclusive* BY VARIOUS SOURCES -- FEBRUARY 7, 2023     In 1990, KINGOFTHEHILL (KOTH) signed a major label record deal with SBK Records (a subsidiary of EMI Music). Scoring popular MTV Music videos for “I Do U” and “If I Say” and continuous touring throughout 1991 with White Lion, Trixter, Lynch Mob, Steelheart, Extreme, etc, KOTH were digging their heels in deep climbing the burgeoning walls of the life of Rock-n-Roll stars. Fast forward 2023, KOTH have reunited with all original members, lead singer Frankie Muriel, Jimmy Griffin (Guitar), Vito Bono (Drums), and George Postos (Bass), and inked a deal with FnA Records to release two albums. One of ’em, titled “II” contains tracks recorded 1991-92 that were slated to be on the band’s sophomore release, which never did happen as the music landscape changed almost overnight. KINGOFTHEHILL frontman Frankie Muriel says ““We are so excited for KINGOFTHEHILL to join the FnA Records family and finally have the opportunity to give the fans a chance to hear these long-bootlegged albums – after all these years the way they were intended to be; and to revisit the vault and release unheard material”. This St. Louis, Missouri-based four-piece hard rock outfit began life on the local club circuit as a covers band – Initially known as Broken Toyz, the band gradually introduced original material into their set, until the demand for their own songs allowed them to drop the cover versions entirely. They signed a recording contract in 1990, and, having adopted the name KingOfTheHill, recorded their self-titled debut with Bang Tango producer Howard Benson. The album mixed party metal in the grand Van Halen style with funk influences, while also touching on AOR, with vocal harmonies that echoed Bon Jovi. The opening single, ‘I Do U’, as well as the second single “If I Say”, had major rotation on MTV and crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. With major backing from their record label the band spent much of 1991 on the road touring with White Lion, Trixter, Lynch Mob and Steelheart in the USA, and received a rapturous reception as Extreme’s guests on their autumn UK tour. This, the band’s first live work outside their own country, served to sharpen their performing abilities, with the charismatic Muriel becoming the visual focus of the band, drawing comparisons to both David Lee Roth and Prince, not least for his multiple costume changes throughout each show. (contributors get the album today) Tracklist: 01 – Hands on You 02 – Save it for Yourself 03 – Coming Up 04 – Better U 05 – Tonite 06 – Lisa 07 – What Kind of Man 08 – What U See (Is What U Get) 09 – Mama 10 – Just A Little Bit 11 – This Love is Free Frankie Muriel (Vocals) Jimmy Griffin (Guitar) Vito Bono (Drums) George Postos (Bass)   BUY fnarecords.net/kingofthehill.html
