KIX or Poison

I do not dislike Poison at all. In fact, I voted for them in one of these polls we have going. I just like Kix a lot better overall. Geoff, you mentioned some of my all-time favorite Poison songs, including Ride the Wind and Fallen Angel. Always liked Look But Don't Touch as well.

 

As far as Steve Whiteman's voice, I had a friend who saw them before they changed their name to Kix. He said they did a killer cover of AC/DC's Highway to Hell.

Another non-contest for me. You could put Poison up against pretty much any other hair metal/hard rock band and I'd vote for the other band (unless they were a 'modern' sounding band).

I like poison and I like Ratt. I play more Kix, than Ratt or Poison. I've seen all three bands in concert and I gotta tell ya. Kix puts on a better show. The people who didn't vote for Kix, probably never seen them in concert.

Whiteman is like a human cartoon character. He's a better frontman..

I love 'Blow my fuse' and 'Hot wire' but that's about it from Kix, whereas I love every album and song from Poison up to and including 'Native Tongue'... plus a few gems afterwards too. Kix are great, but Poison were the super easy choice for me.

 

You need to hear Kix's MIDNITE DYNAMITE, G...

I own it, my good brother. I own/ed all Kix’s album… and as I said, I do like the guys but IMO Poison were a whole world ahead songwise.

Yup.

Kix to me are a really good band, but they just dont have as many songs that I really like compared to Poison.

 

To be honest, its a kind of unfair comparision anyway is Kix musically are totally different to Poison.

Kix are gonna appeal more to the kind of people who are into AC/DC, Aerosmith, Rhino Bucket & Johnny Crash etc, where as Poison are gonna appeal more to people who like bands like Pretty Boy Floyd, Warrant & Bon Jovi etc.

 

I like most forms of rock and metal, but the bands who are more glam/hair/party orientated are generally gonna get the nod from me.

 

Fact is, Poison are one of my two fave bands anyway, so this isnt exactly a difficult choice.
