I'm not the biggest Thrash fan around and I have owed very little in the way of really heavy discs. However one of my favourite all time releases is ANGEL DUST - Enlighten The Darkness from 2000. This is a monster melodic metal release, not a weak track on it. Picture a heavier/thrashier Queensryche - Operation:Mindcrime. I

Slayer - Show No Mercy

Sepultura - Beneath The Remains

I just picked up a c.d. from a band called MASTERY called LETHAL LEGACY.

No vocals, but superb Bay Area thrash from Canada (I think).

On their myspace, they seem to include BILLY MILANO as vocalist.

Check 'em out!

Interesting choice. I myself would grab for Thrash Zone from them before Crossover.

Just curious, what makes Crossover your choice? Is it nostalgia, or something else?

I know Thrash Zone would have been the obvious pick because it is indeed more thrash if you will. Crossover is a better album in my oppinion, and was a big part of my life when it came out. I was a long haired metalhead who also liked punk alot as well. In those days it simply wasn't cool to listen to both and not catch shit. Well I was proud, and I didn't take the shit, and the whole punk/metal crossover thing was kinda of a big thing to me at the time. I was going to go the route of listing a bunch of underground, less well known bands, but the truth is the ones I listed, as well as lots of others were ones that I wore lots of copies out of, and meant the most to me at the time that they came out.
