Some of these old threads were great, though.

And this one was worth revisiting!  There are still a LOT of CD's I was looking for a decade or more ago that have yet to find their way into my collection.  It's fun see what titles others have (or have not) found since first posting back in the day.

This/these threads are why we came and stayed. Those unheard of gems and the endless banter and braggarting!

Rare is a subjective term and one that sometimes has an Ebay $$$ amount attached.

I'd say for me the "rarest" CD I own is of the unreleased Top Heavy Crush album.

Recorded at Ardent Studios, the engineer made 5 pro-printed CDR's for the band on the spot from the masters which are long gone. I got mine from the guitarist Jim Paulson (some may know him from New American Shame, The Lemons, Point Defiance, Talks Cheap, Tramp Alley, et al).

The album is very nice indeed and would have been well received if handled properly. Not alot of videos and clips out there but here are 2 live tracks of the rockier numbers and a rare studio track from the aforementioned LP.

ENJOY!

Great thread. I am still wondering if the SMASH L.A. Law and Authority was indeed pressed on CD format. While there is one on eBay right now (priced at $154.01), I still read the comments for that CD and still in doubt if that one on the Bay is legit or not.

Thanks for the reply. I've heard of that band through a friend who had the cassette tape. That was a great one.

I'm guessing as it was never released it is sharable?
Anyone wants a copy MP3 I have them.

3 songs, all top notch.

ney".[1]

All that was ever released of this was the three-song I Will Be There EP in 1985. The title track was originally written and recorded by Ballard on his 1981 album Into the Fire. The artists rehearsed for some days before the sessions and it was all recorded in three hours.

Paul Di'Anno – lead vocals
Pete Willis – guitars
Janick Gers – guitars
Neil Murray – bass
Clive Burr – drums, percussion

Nem biztos benne, hogy a "mindenki akarja" részt, de ezek a 3 CD már régóta elhagytak, és úgy tűnik, nehezebb megtalálni, mint egy muszlim egy sertésszelet:

ROMEOS TEARZ: "After Dark"

PARADISE: "Prime Cut"

KIDD SKRUFF: "Angyalok piszkos arcokkal"

Szóval, igen, azok a megfoghatatlan anyák ...: Doh:

Do you have any infos about ROMEOS TEARZ-After Dark cd?

To answer the question "What is the rarest CD that nobody can't seems to find" - in my case all of the CDs listed in the HH Ebay Rarities. I've gotten tired of going to pawnshops here in my city because every trip always is a waste of time. I always frequent our several thrift shops here but I cannot remember when was the last time I got a good one. Forget about rare! Just anything hard rock that is not Bon Jovi, AC/DC or Def Leppard.  Even just the second-tier hair bands CDs are nowhere to be found in Red Deer.

This maybe the wrong thread to pour out my frustration. Sorry.

    • Okay but not overly exciting me initially.  It's a well done tune but just wish it had a little more bite or edge or something. Reminds me a bit of Perfect Plan style-wise. Keeping eyes on this though.  Would like to hear a few more songs.
    • Anyone else getting their face slapped around by this one? In the past they've been pretty standard metalcore type stuff with all screams and not much else. This album, however, has some really cool and catchy metal tunes on it.  Here's a few of my faves;
    • The last few comments are basically where it's at. It's really not a bad album. I like 'Idiots,' 'In the maze,' 'We are the legion,' 'Parasite' and 'Waiting for your love.' And none of the rest is terrible... though not great. I guess stuff like this is probably the future for the band. Just one of the crowd, rather than the genre leaders they were with the debut and 'Generation Wild.' Nice solid album, but they're not the band they used to be.
    • Wow, you're certainly one of the younger members here. I think Karpetface turned 9 this year, but after him, you're the next youngest!  Welcome aboard and yes, pretty impressive to see someone so young into this type of music. Do your parents listen to this style of music? Interested in how you got into it in the first place.
    • So after listening to this a bit more I can agree that there are some good songs here but as already pointed out the production is pretty poor  It pretty much ruins it , Bang bang being the most obvious example for me  Good song but the production on that one is horrendous
    • They released a new album called 'Love Letter Kill Shot' a couple of months ago. Gotta give it to them, they're consistent. If you like what they do, you'll like plenty about the new album. No bad songs and a whole lot of solid-ness.    1    .    Cuff the Criminal 2    .    Reanimate 3    .    Wake Up 4    .    Panic Room (feat. Andrew Schwab) 5    .    Play to Win 6    .    Fire Away 7    .    Misery 8    .    Chemical Wisdom 9    .    Never Too Late 10    .    Touch of Pain 11    .    Walk With Me 12    .    Best Thing Ever     My favourite tune is;
    • I was just thinking back to a comment I made in April when I first heard a sample from the album. As per above, I was under the impression that the other three guys maintained the band name and that they had a new vocalist. Stefan quickly pointed out it was the other way around and that Archie was the only remaining member. But funny how I didn't recognise him at first listen, and after a few spins of the full album, I still struggle to believe how it's the same guy. I know it is, but man, what a change.
    • I have to agree, listening to this felt like a chore (despite the short 38 min run time). Especially towards the end cause most passable tracks are around the middle part of the record.
