  1. Gibson TV is thrilled to present its first show dedicated to the worlds of heavy metal and monster culture in the new series “Metal and Monsters.” The host of this adventure is Matt “Count D” Montgomery - bassist for the King Freak himself, Rob Zombie. Having been a staple of the Zombie band and live show for the last 16 years, Count D looks forward to sharing his passion for music and film with metal and monster fans worldwide. In the first episode of “Metal and Monsters,” Count D takes us to Elm Street as he reunites Don Dokken and Robert Englund to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the film “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.” Featuring never before seen photos from the “Dream Warriors” video shoot, Robert and Don share stories of musical influences to behind-the-scenes tales of one of the most successful horror franchises in film history. Throughout the 60 minute episode, viewers are also treated to different segments that explore the worlds of horror and heavy metal! In a segment titled “Tunes from The Crypt,” Count D revisits Metallica’s 1991 groundbreaking release “The Black Album” and gives fans a chance to win some exclusive prizes! And there’s more! Count D takes the monster squad on a field trip to the offices of Super7 in San Francisco to talk with founder Brian Flynn and the Super7 team to learn more about their projects with Motörhead, Iron Maiden, and Megadeth in a segment titled “Terror Trek.” But that’s not all! In a historical piece titled “Exhumed from The Tomb,” Count D sits down with guitarist Bill Steer from the legendary death metal band Carcass to explore the band’s 35-year history. Filmed on location in downtown Los Angeles, the backdrop for “Metal and Monsters” is the historic 2,000 seat Los Angeles Theatre. Constructed in 1930, Charlie Chaplin helped fund the completion of the building so it would be ready to premiere his film “City Lights” in January of 1931. After closing its doors in 1994, the Los Angeles Theatre sat vacant for many years until serving as a film and television location for productions including “Man on The Moon,” Charlie’s Angels,” “Mad Men,” and “The Lords of Salem.” So, if you like blast beats and things that go bump in the night, then this is the show for you! Welcome to “Metal and Monsters!” Like the show? Suggestions for future guests? Want to WIN some epic Metallica Merch or sweet Super7 figures? 3. various sources: Guitar-shredding virtuoso George Lynch re-teams with former Dokken bandmate Jeff Pilson for a set of new studio recordings that turn pop music classics into powerful metal / hard rock anthems. “Heavy Hitters” features jaw-dropping renditions of Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World,” Prince’s “Kiss,” One Republic’s “Apologize,” Carole King’s “I Feel The Earth,” Oasis’ “Champagne Supernova” and more. It’s all very well and professionally done, the gems coming in the shape of really rocky interpretations of Prince‘s ”Kiss”, and ”Music” by Madonna. Both receive superb guitar driven reworkings, but neither loses the essence of the original release either. The former’s instantly familiar riff is still present, but is given a heavier arrangement by Lynch, with Pilson contributing a heavy funky bass line in the background. It features a searing solo from George at the end too. It sounds very natural in it’s own right as opposed to having a rock arrangement crowbarred into it. The same can be said of their version of ”Music”. Obviously the original was anything but a rock track. But here, Lynch has replaced the dance beat with a great riff that fits the song like a glove. Listening to it, you could easily imagine it having always been played this way. Another tip of the hat goes to their version of ”Ordinary World”. Yep, Duran Duran track from the mid 90s. They’ve wisely not attempted a note for note copy of the original. The signature guitar intro has been replaced with a lower key, more subtle sound, that reposition the song perfectly. Its also a very apt choice of song, as the lyrics could easily apply to the year we have had, and likely to have next year. A very credible effort. 01 – One of Us (Originally by Joan Osbourne) 02 – You Got The Love (Originally by Rufus & Chaka Khan) 03 – I Feel The Earth (Originally by Carole King) 04 – Ordinary World (Originally by Duran Duran) 05 – Music (Originally by Madonna) 06 – Apologize (Originally by OneRepublic & Timbaland) 07 – Nowhere To Run (Originally by Martha & The Vandellas) 08 – Kiss (Originally by Prince) 09 – It’s The End Of The World.. 4. Okay, if you can get passed the gimmick, and a name that leaves a bit to be desired, there is some nice, crunchy hard rock on the 2016 debut from TPV. Like Dokken, Van Halen and Kiss were thrown into a blender... some nice guitar work here! \m/ http://youtu.be/STywiD_AgQg You can currently pick up the CD on eBay for $5 (or less) and free shipping here in the U.S. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TRAILER-PARK-VAMPIRE-CD-Kiss-Dokken-Van-Halen-Alice-Cooper-Sivad-style-music-/272521378485?

Read other info HERE (http://defoxrecords.blogspot.it) Alex De Rosso's passion for rock guitar began in 1982 in Padova, Italy. In 1995 Alex entered the international scene when Alfa Brunette released in Japan "Alex De Rosso", his self titled cd. In the same year "Music Connection" rated Alex's demo as one of the best 10 demos of the year, the best in instrumental rock, and he started to play in music conventions and fairs like the Namm Show in Los Angeles, the Frankfurt Musikmesse in Germany, and the Interexpomusic & the Disma Music Show in Italy. In 1997 Alex started to record his second album "Ossimoro", that has been released in 1998. In 2002, right after the release of his third album, "The thin line between black and white", Alex joined Dokken taking over guitar duties when John Norum (Europe) left the band. As the new Dokken guitar player, Alex toured in 2002 and 2003 playing something like 100 shows. In the middle of all this Alex recorded as lead guitar player, with producer Fabrizio Grossi, the album “Vertigo” featuring Joseph Williams (TOTO) on vocals, and the album “Perfect World” with Kelly Hansen (Hurricane, Foreigner) on vocals. Back in Italy, after the Dokken days, in early 2004 Alex started to work on productions @ “the cube”, his own recording studio. In the meantime Alex started a new hard rock band, Headrush, with italian singer Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinth). The first and self titled album of Headrush will be released in early 2005. 2008 is the perfect year for the release of King of Balance “A rockwalk through the TOTO years”, a tribute to one of the best rock bands ever and one of alex’s favourite, TOTO. The album is produced by Alex, and many friends like Timothy Drury (Whitesnake, the Eagles) and Stef Burns (Vasco Rossi, Huey Lewis, Alice Cooper, Y&T) are involved in the project. In 2010 Alex has been involved in many projects, like Faithsedge and Pushking’s “The world as we love it”. In fact alex recorded the all-star album for the russian band Pushking, a project where you can hear Alex together with rock icons Alice Cooper, Paul Stanley (KISS), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Glenn Hughes, Joe Lynn Turner, Eric Martin, Steve Lukather, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Nuno Bettencourt. After this Alex finally joined the band, collaborating with Pushking for live shows and the release of their new album. And in 2012 finally Alex started the production of his fourth solo album, "Lions & Lambs", wich will be released in 2013. This time many great musicians and friends are part of Alex’s ultimate work: Don Dokken (Dokken), Reb Beach (Winger, Dokken, Whitesnake), George Lynch (Lynch Mob, Dokken), Timothy Drury (Whitesnake, the Eagles), Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake), Steve Lukather (Toto) !!! The CD in digipack format will be available in mid January thru Defox Records and Andromeda Relix in Italy, Aor Heaven Records for Germany, Rock Avenue Records for Japan market.
