  1. Work last night so playlist :- Montrose - Mean Aerosmith - Draw the Line The Godz - s/t Gowan - Lost Brotherhood Redd Kross - Third Eye
  2. Been a quiet few weeks but on the way: Foxy Shazam - The Heart Behead You pre ordered Al Stewart - The Admiralty Lights box set.
  3. Type O Negative - Bloody Kisses - it really surprised me when it came out - a glorious amalgamation of goth/prog and metal
  4. Tesla - Mechanical Resonance then Queensryrche - Rage for Order
  5. Yeah - an odd ball bunch - for years and years I had only Solar Music Live on vinyl - I must have got it in '79 as I bought Queen - Live Killers the same day and that had just come out. Then about 10 years back I got both that again and Rockpommel's Land on CD. I just liked them, but never got around to getting any of their other stuff for one reason or another. Solar Music is supposedly their masterpiece and it is good but I sometimes think that Rockpommel's Land is the easier to get into for someone starting out. So I'm catching up and I think between them those two releases are all the Grobschnitt I'll ever need.
  6. Have this on pre-order - how long to wait still and I preordered it before Christmas I'm somehow staying away from listening to the pre released track as I don't want any preconceptions when I stick that disc in the player and sit back and press play.
  7. I agree with the vinyl comment and it probably relates to some of the threads you have put up detailing the revival of CD. I mean kids don't have that much disposable income (like I didn't when younger) and what are you gonna do spend £30 on the new Adele (aaaahahahah - no seriously - that's probably their mums and dads - lets say Drake) on vinyl or pick up the CD for a tenner, or the charity shop one week later for £2 haha!
  8. Kix - Blow My Fuse close 2nd Queensryche - Oppy Mindcrime
  9. Grobschnitt - 79:10 box (17CD) Grobschnitt - Solar Movie (2CD / DVD/ 2LP)
  10. Doesn't look like a good year for me - I suppose Queensryche - but after the E.P. I felt a bit let down with the album. then maybe Foreigner.
  11. Kix then Accept, Black n Blue then Armoured Saint.
  12. Aerosmith - Pump then Tesla - Great Radio Controversy
  13. Metallica - Kill 'em All closely followed by Accept - Balls to the Wall Kill 'em All is the only Metallica album I like and although Accept are by far my preferred band of the two I thought BttW was a bit of a backwards step at the time. I remember when I used to go to my regular rock club in the centre of Manchester there was only me and this other guy who used to get up to Metallica. I think his name was Nigel and he was a school teacher, he was a really nice guy he wore glasses and used tape to hold them on while headbanging. I even bought the t-shirt from the flyer that came inside the album.
  14. Tip top - it's pretty good - you can tell the difference the remix / remaster of The Rods Arista album made to the songs originally on this release, I think I prefer the Arista versions but that might be because I'm used to them. Deffo worth having though. High Roller have done a nice job package wise.
  15. I listened to this earlier on Youtube - it kind of reminded me of Casualties of Cool.
  16. Nah not too bad - £37 plus postage - total about £41.
