  1. I had totally forgotten that she recorded that track, too. At least here - that's my impression - the original version by Umberto Tozzi was far more popular. My memory might betray me, but I don't think so. "Self control" was a huge hit and is still the song that most people think of when she gets mentioned.

    Titties

Oh dear! I can't help but agree to what was said above!
  3. They count on "strength through numbers" or think they are strong when carrying weapons, but each and every one individually is no more than a cornered rat. They think they know everything better than everyone else, but really don't know shit. Pampered children, no more than that.
  4. Thanks everybody! It's good to feel welcome!
  5. I like ballads, good ones that is. Not too cheesy and with a certain punch in there somewhere and I'm sold! I wouldn't want to listen to ballads only, but a good one or two can spice up any album or playlist, no doubt about that. Most of my faves are in that list. Even some I haven't thought of let alone listened to in a while. Great job! A good one that is running in the background right now is Fiore - It can only get better.
  6. On CD: Fiore - Today till tomorrow Hugo - Time on Earth Hugo - Hugo Two Fires - Two FIres Amaze Me - Wonderland On LP: Eclipse - Wired Preview - Preview REO Speedwagon - Life as we know it On tape: St.James - Crimes of the Heart
  7. Sorry to hear that, man! Those who are gone live on in our memories forever. And - on this occasion - thanks for the warm welcome!
  8. And that is good, at least that is what I think. I love VH, but them playing without Eddie? Nah, thanks! Sometimes, it is better to keep things you appreciated in fond memory rather than trying to make something out of too little. Despite that fact that there is absolutely no way that I am going to see any of the shows in LV, I hope he manages to pull those off and will retire after that and hopefully he is not in a conditon as bad as one interview I read a few days ago suggests.
  9. I had the new Eclipse in the mail today and after one listen (though not paying that much attention due to being busy), I'd say it's a solid contender.
  10. Hey guys, I found this site a few weeks ago and have no idea what took me that long. I have been lurking around for a while, for recommendations and seeing how things are on here. I wish there was a bit more activity, but let quality rule over quantity I say! I'm- you guessed it - Olli (not jolly at all times, mind you) from Germany. I have been into rock music since I was five (that what I can recall, I got told I was getting jolly when good music was played from a very young age). I'm into nearly all kinds of rock music with AOR and Hard Rock/HM having a special place in my heart. I also listen to selected stuff from other genres, of course. I'm not in a band or the business at the moment and any band I've been in, you haven't heard of anyway. I am an old school vinyl lover, but do also buy CDs and tapes - whatever suits my needs or budget. I guess that's all for now. Looking forward to talking to you!
