They are my favourite band but this song is nothing special. The new guitar player nailed it but everything else is a little bit boring.

That's so funny... I listened to the song. The chorus kicked in and had no connection at all with the verse, like two different songs. Strange lyrics soundwise. Two typical ADV things. I knew it was written by him, looked it up on Deezer and whoohoo, I'm a genius.

The new vocalist sounds good in this recording but I bet he can't deliver that live. He uses so much pressure and once he sings without that rasp, the voice gets very thin... not a good technique I'd say.

Deezer says ADV co-wrote the new song. I mean I'm fine with that when the outcome is good.

I've listened to the Itunes samples and not a single song sounds like ADV - more exciting melodies, killer choruses, some guitar melodies reminded me of Harem Scarem a bit. Only the sound is a bit strange but I might get used to that.

New song is okay but I don't like their metal sound. Everything is too loud and hurts when you turn the volume up a little. Samples on Itunes of the rest of the album sound okay, too. Some moments that are worse than I ever imagined Wig Wam to be (The american dream chorus absolutely doesn't fit and only contains 3 notes and god by your side would be okay if Åge sang it, sailor and the desert sun screams anything but Wig Wam), some moments are quite cool (Forevermore is very different, uppercut shazam is hard hitting and a typical Wig wam anthem). In the end it's too much Trond Holter for me. He's writing good riffs but he can't be quiet for a second. It's just missing the effortlessness and the good vibe in my opinion.

Sorry, I haven't seen this thread. Next time I'll search for the topic first. Anyway I really like the song except for the part where Mikael is a bit too late (in the song "gamechanger", which is on YouTube already, that also happens). The songwriting is perfect, why do they leave it like that?

New album released on January 20th. New single "1995" Their last album was awesome and my expectations are high... I really love the new song but especially from 2:35 on the vocals are a bit late... the end of the chorus sounds a little out of tune. I feel like they should take more than just one year for a new album and correct things like that.

Deezer says ADV has (co-)written the song. Hope he doesn't take over this project. Dennis is good enough on his own.

They just released an album not that long ago, haven't they? Hmm new Harem Scarem would be better.

I pretty much love everything they release. Heavyharmonies samples of the rest of the album sound great, too.

I really don't like the production and the vibe of the album sadly. Really liked their previous work.

He would be if he wasn't trying that hard.

I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. I think the good songs are way better than the good songs on the last album but the not so good are worse than the bad songs on the last album. Paramount has an awful chorus, Demon Eyes has no chorus at all. In taintes blood I'm waiting for something to explode. And Kenny oversings it. That doesn't sound healthy and in live videos I heard him running out of pressure because of that. Harder to breath sounds like an older H.e.a.t track (do you want it) but it's still a good song. One of us has a strange and very repetitive chorus for a power ballad. It's not a bad album but I don't understand all the 10/10 reviews out there on the internet.

Good song, the samples on Itunes sound pretty strong but the voice is destroyed.

I like all of the singles from the album but I don't really like the sound. The vocals are muddy and sometimes hidden behind instruments. Their album "A twist in the myth", which was rather unpopular if I remember correctly, had a perfect sound. Hansi was leading the songs, the guitar sound was heavy but not that rough and the songs were more dynamic. It's a matter of taste maybe

Love the voice but I can't take this guy seriously. He seems to be fooling around the whole time but it feels like he's taking himself very seriously. Song is ok, the singles from the debut were better.

The first half is great but I can't connect with the second half, yet. Too modern sounding songs on the second half and the drums in loneliest night are way too loud and harsh for me.

A bit sad that there is only one song with more than 1 guest singer.

Verses are cool, chorus is a bit too basic and predictable. This is the kind of song that is elevated by the production. A demo of that would reveal a pretty bland songwriting. And I don't like the singer's voice. Sounds a bit shaky. Still looking forward to the album cause they use to have some diamonds on every album.

Where did you get this information from? Couldn't find it on their fb nor on Frontiers'.

So far I like the three songs better than anything on the last album. Hollywood might be my favourite cause it's less overloaded and more what I expect of H.e.a.t with Kenny (who's sounding pretty similar to Erik in the first few words of the song).

My first impression was pretty disappointing, too. A few days ago I said, I'd prefer the current DL over the 80's DL. Is it still like that? I listened to the new album a few times now and I think it's on the same level as their last album. What was disappointing to me was especially that the first two singles were so strong. Easily the best songs on the album - so I expected a step up from their last album. Didn't expect that less steam. Still I like many songs on it (gimme a kiss is fantastic). I love Joe's voice but not how it is produced in some of the songs. It's great they are still making music and I hope they'll continue for a few fun tracks on every album.

Cool song but the production makes it sound like he's lisping here and there. Listened to the Itunes samples and some songs are sounding pretty modern (which is not my cup of tea) but especially the first half sounded great.
