  1. The Interview (2014) not the greatest but very funny. Especially this scene
  2. I like it when people put out a picture of the CD(s) that they just acquired. I've been tempted several times but I don't find that much great CDs lately that's why I don't buy much.
  3. Good enough for me knowing that it's Josh Todd. Not that punk for me (maybe because of the guitar solo).
  4. from a thrift store: CHEAP TRICK - Lap of Luxury SPANISH GUITAR RECITAL Julian Bream plays Albeniz, Granados & Rodrigo both $1.99 each
  5. The Red Turtle Just because it has the name Studio Ghibli on it, that's why I watched it. Pretty depressing. But not as depressing as Grave of the Fireflies.
  6. Agreed to the comments saying that this is unnecessary. I wouldn't want to hear the songs from the 1st and 2nd album without Harry Cody. I know that this Rob Marcello is no slouch but THIS IS Shotgun Messiah so it's Harry Cody for me or nothing. Ooooops! Sorry it's just Shotgun.
  7. I loved the debut. I always pull it out of the pile during summer because it gives me that summer vibe. I also like his version of Innocent Kiss. I did get the Bon Jovi similarities but not that much.
  8. Of not the solos. As Gene said before - Ace didn't really grow as a guitarist. I have his Frehley's Comet (the 1st one) and I think I only enjoyed 3 songs off that album.
  9. Because of my son, I was forced to watch The Transformers - Last Knight. Terrible.
  10. Funny but I like it. It's eclectic and I've been exposed to some music like this when I listen to CKUA here in Alberta. Please check out the CKUA website and look for their play list, especially for their morning show. It's so diverse. You will hear music like this and then Miles Davis. And they still play the latest by Bruce Springteen, The Waterboys, Violet Femmes and then they will follow it up with some Black Prairies or Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. So yeah, I can appreciate this music.
  11. Finally! After 2 or 3 weeks of drought - from our local library for a buck each: THE STYLE COUNCIL - Our Favourite Shop ROBIN TROWER - Bridge of Sighs ROBIN TROWER - Victims of the Fury
  12. Sad reality for me - since I'm on ON-CALL basis on my job, I still don't know when is mine. But good thing is, I get to earn that much needed cash. Enjoy your holidays!
  13. I think its been two weeks and I still haven't bought a single CD. And I'm just wondering, where do you guys find your CDs and more importantly DON'T YOU GUYS EVER RUN OUT OF MONEY?
  14. Like it. I wonder why I haven't heard of this on our local Christian station. And by the way, haven't anyone heard of Todd Agnew's (old) song "This Fragile Breath"? That one is right into our alley (well at least his voice). If you can just hear that in your head will all the distortions and loud pounding drums.

  16. Just listening to this right now (youtube) and I think I also need this on CD. My type of music.
  17. Well, that makes me feel old. But come to think of it, there are certainly some bands that I don't mind their switch in vocalist like Van Halen and AC/DC. I was just listening to XYZ the other day and remembered that this guy singing is the new vocalist of Great White. That one, I don't mind either. I think Russell and Illous vocals are very close alike. But one band that I really approved of when they changed vocals was Black Sabbath. When Dio sang old Sabbath songs, it was revealed to the world how poor a vocalist Ozzy was/is. Motley, Skid and Quiet Riot, these I really do mind. I think they're a totally different band without their famous voices.
  18. When I saw them they did, I think only one Journey - Arnel Pineda song from the Revelation album. I think its FAITH IN THE HEARTLAND if I'm not mistaken.
  19. I love Crazy Night (the album). I think it's almost perfect. I love Bruce Kulick's playing here.
  20. I have this in my iPod. I would say that it is good but I don't remember the next 9 songs after Reaching For the Sun. That song drowns out the rest of the album. Guitarist Hideaki Nakama is very good. I think he also played with the band Action but I'm not 100% about it.
  21. Former HH forum member Nelson used to have this. If I remember right, I liked it.
  22. Metallica Rush - Clockwork Angels Tour Journey Motley Crue - All Things Must Come to An End (Farewell Tour) Alice Cooper - opening for Motley Iron Maiden - Book of Souls Tour The Tea Party - 20 Years of Transmission
  23. FM - Tonight OZZY OSBOURNED - Bark at the Moon
  24. As I have already logged in last week, I saw this W.A.S.P self-titled album/CD at our local thrift store with the WRONG DISC. I asked the counter girl about it as I paid for my other purchase. She said she doesn't know about it (maybe someone changed the discs just for fun) and just left the CD there on her cash desk. Yesterday, while I still have an extra 30 minutes left on my lunch break, I decided to go to a Record Store/Game shop that I haven't visited for a long time. And guess what I got there...? W.A.S.P. - S/T The front insert is not perfect but still its okay with me. I remembered the one from the thrift store because the insert there was PERFECT! I went back and asked about it. I was told they just tossed it to the garbage. I should have just bought it just for the inserts as it was only $1.99 but what am I going to do with a CD case with no CD. I didn't know that I'll find another one.
