  1. LITTLE CAESAR - Name Your Poison One E.P. for $4
  2. Has anyone seen the WACKEN Documentary? I saw that DVD when the AMV Music Store in our local mall was about to close. I was hoping the price would still go down in the next couple of days as they were clearing out inventory. Sadly, I missed it. Still my favourite is Sam Dunn's METAL - A Headbanger's Journey and Worldwide Metal.
  3. I didn't know that Van Halen - 1984 post of mine didn't go through. Well, here are some that I just got: FUNHOUSE - Generation, Generator OZZY OSBOURNE - No Rest for the Wicked MARTY FRIEDMAN - Dragon's Kiss
  4. Van Halen - 1984 (for just a buck and quarter - AND IT SKIPPED!)
  5. I don't know what the maker of this video had in mind but this sure entertained my then 2 year old
  6. Van Halen - 1984 (for just a buck and quarter - AND IT SKIPPED!)
  7. Oh yeah. Especially at these times - this is VERY controversial. Speak English or Die (the song), too is another one. What a way to incite more hate to non English speaking immigrants in the States. But I just cannot just pass through Pre-Menstrual Princess Blues. With Mr. Tinkertrain, yeah but you know a lot of rock stars especially in the 70s who have done this. Ted Nugent, Steven Tyler, Jimmy Page and the list goes on - who have seduced under aged girls. Even have the lawful custody of them to join them on tour.
  8. I just read the thread about HATE songs and in my opinion, most of them are just songs sung by someone who is just pissed off or mad/angry at someone. I was expecting of real HATE in the line of RACISM or anything like that. I am wondering what other controversial topics the hard rock/heavy metal artists have used for their songs. Enough of Satanism - most of them are quite stupid if you can dissect them. And some of the artist just use that for gimmicks (e.g. King Diamond) though some black metal artists are genuine. Any other?
  9. Whew! It's been a loooong time. I can't find anything good for quite sometime here are few: BRYAN ADAMS - Reckless GUITAR - Classical Gold LIONA BOYD - Hightlights
  10. Just checking in again if you guys are keeping this thread alive. Keep it up!
  11. Well THANKS! This will always bring me back here in this thread.
  12. After some time of not holding a new-to-me CD, I finally got 2 courtesy of Terry (martinsane) VAIN - No Respect WILD FREEDOM - Set the Night On Fire
  13. No! I love his animes. I wish he'll continue on making movies until he's a 100.
  14. I'd say THE WIND RISES by Hayao Miyazaki. It was supposed to be his last and then he'd retire. He came out of retirement again for (I think) the 6th time.
  15. Yes! I think all original members, if I am not mistaken.
  16. Very rarely that I get a good CD from our local library when they go on sale. But I remembered getting Our Favourite Shop by The Style Council there. As well as a Stage Dolls CD.
  17. If we're talking about Canada's greatest and most underrated guitarist, I would go to a certain Ron Horton from the band Surface Tension (they are listed here in heavy harmonies). A total virtuoso.
  18. Wow! Comparable to B.B. King! I mean, I shed a tear - on the 3,567th note.
  19. Yeah, definitely old school. Cool solos, too on Brutal Decay and Soul Erazor.
  20. From our local thrift store ($1.99 each) BLOODGOOD - Classic Archives (Music Value Pak) JUDAS PRIEST - Live (1987) VAN HALEN - OU812 X-SINNER - Get It from a pawnshop PAUL YOUNG - No Parlez JEREMY FERGUSON - Summer Nights (1993) Shred guitarist from my own city (Red Deer). A cool find since it's factory pressed, silver backed CD and I'm guessing that it has never left the province of Alberta. And 3 instrumentals (songs) are very similar to Joe Satriani's songs from his The Extremist album. My 2nd copy so this one is for trade(!)
  21. Jeremy Ferguson - Summer Nights (1993 - Red Deer, Alberta's very own guitar shredder) my 2nd copy
  22. For the longest time, it's always been Steve Vai. I think he reached the summit of rock guitar. And then I discovered Europe's answer to Vai - Mattias Eklundh. BUT their style sometimes gets very tiring to the ear, so these are my favorite as of late: Nuno Harry Cody Akira Takasaki Derek Trucks
  23. Winger - In the Heart of the Young KISS - Revenge
