Revisiting some Chandler Mogel stuff. Many projects, always quality. He really is a "Hired Gun". This is a Killer track from the "Radio Exile" album.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea that apart from Chandler's vocals, it was a one man project. Impressive. I'll have to keep an eye on him.

Mate, I'm sorry. I've just created a thread on this album and only just noticed this one.

This one popped up on good old Amber's YouTube channel. I can't find anything about it or the band. I think it may be Chandler Mogel on vocals, but I'm not sure. Anyone heard this before? Here's a few tracks. Sort of Proggy Hard Rock. It's Great stuff.

I could watch this stuff all day. The precision marching through different formations is impressive enough, but then add playing a musical instrument into the mix.

Valentine is a tricky one. When it was released I considered It MHR. Admittedly, more on the lighter side of MHR, but not quite what I'd consider AOR. You're right about Heart. Another tricky one, but I'd go with MHR. Again, on the lighter side of the spectrum.

I still think my list is better... musically.

This would be my favourite set list for "Poison". Announcer : "I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen, but Poison are unable to perform tonight".

Yeah, I know it's all subjective, but in my opinion Icon, Valentine, Giant, Tyketto, Bad English and Unruly Child are MHR bands.

I think it may be the Stan Bush version in the ad, which is strange considering it's an Aussie commercial.

Here's some more John Farnham Gold. The first track is from his "Little River Band" days and is an Aussie classic. The second track is an AC/DC cover that he absolutely nails. The third video is an appearance with Tom Jones on the iconic Aussie TV show, "Hey Hey It's Saturday" from 1990. I've posted this one before. It still blows me away everytime I watch it.

His name was mentioned in the press release. Considering some of the tangents we go on, I think it's a valid post.

His solo acoustic version isn't too shabby either. I really could imagine this being played in a gypsy or whatever camp 400 years ago.

Still waiting for an update on this one. Terry Ilous (pronounced E-Loose, as we discovered in another thread) is a GUN. The "Bridger" cover of Sabbath's "Heaven and Hell" popped up in my rotation today. Pure class. One of my favourite covers.

Same vocalist, different band, same track name except for the missing "G", which stands for "Genesis", which is the name of the album this track is from by the band "Talisman", the very same Talisman that the vocalist was not only a member of, but used the "T" from Talisman to form the band name W.E.T. Coincidence?

It's very hard to come up with a top 10, 20 or whatever for any genre, but I reckon when it comes to MHR ballads, this is 100% in the top 10. Also, considering it was released during the Golden age gives it more credibility. This track and album was/is a benchmark for MHR.

BTW, if anyone here mentions the fact that he was born in England, I'll cut them. I'll track them down and cut them.
