  1. Hi all, Can anyone tell me the person that recently was selling the original E.L.I. - Push It Hard CD for $1,500 on eBay? I'm trying to get in contact with him as I'm ready to make him an offer he can't refuse! lol Any information would be greatly appreciated Kind regards David

    Santa Cruz

All we need is this awesome band to hook up with Chris Laney!!~! Guitarist is phenomenal!
  5. Hi guys, I was speaking with Johnny Angel & the lead singer Jose Anes quite a few years back in order to try and officially released their material through Suncity Records. The band definitely think that the "Sucker For A Pretty Face" wasn't EVER released on CD! Having said that, the band were very vague about everything and I was dishing out the specific questions that we all wanna know. What I gathered was, the band weren't 100% sure if it was ever pressed on CD due to their record label back in the day not telling them much and/or paying them. Anyway, I was prepared to give them the best deal I could possibly do (I was even prepared to lose money on the release(s)), we had plans to release the Sucker album and the 2nd unreleased album plus Jose's first band Sinful (Nuno Bettercourt's first band) + I think we were also talking about the release of Johnny Angel's unreleased material after Rock Candy (I forget the band name??) but they wanted silly money up front (I think it was $30,000 up front advance for everyone of the 4 releases). As people in the industry know, the margins just aren't for that To be honest, the band came across as just totally bitter towards the whole music industry, and were extremely stand off'ish when approached by anyone in the music industry, and really they came across as big headed dick heads. ......anyway, I hope this sheds some light on this topic, it's such a damn shame because they are sitting on soooo much matieral that all of you fans want love so much!!!~! Kind regards Dave
  6. This Is My 100 Most Anticipated CD’s Of 2012 01.Crazy Lixx – Riot Avenue (Quite simply the best street sleaze band going around these days and the next record is just gonna be huge!!!) 02.Trixter – TBA (One of my favourite ever bands, and I have got the feeling they wont be trying anything too experimental, they will hopefully be sticking to the similar formula that brought us one of the best Melodic Hard Rock albums ever - “Hear!”). 03.H.E.A.T. – TBA (More newish kids on the block and another amazing band that this decade has produced. A band that you are guaranteed to get an album at the highest of qualities!) 04.Tyketto – TBA (From all reports another one of my favourite bands will be releasing a new album in the same vein as “Don’t Come Easy” and that’s gotta be good  The brief song sample that I’ve heard sounds killer!~!) 05.Hurricane – TBA (Well, this was a massive shock when I first heard that these hard rockers were realising a brand new album in 2012, really excited to hear what direction they take!) 06.Ratt – TBA (I really thought Ratt’s fantastic comeback album “Infestation” was just gonna be a one off, but that is most certainly not gonna be the case. From what vocalist Stephen Percy says, the band plans to release an album early/mid next year) 07.Ugly Kid Joe – TBA (Now, I think most people know what I think of this band – they are one of my all-time favourites as their second album “Menace To Sobriety” is one hell of a record. UKJ would have been easily in my top 3 most anticipated of 2012, but unfortunately when I first heard their new single, it really didn’t move me like their previous work. I mean, I loved the guitar work and the production sounded fine but Whit’s vocals were way off, I hope this isn’t an indication of the way the record will pan out – we’ll have to wait and see) 08.The Last Vegas – TBA (I wasn’t a massive fan of their debut album as most rockers were but the new single “The Other Side” just blew my mind!! Amazing stuff in the same vein as Australia’s very own “Airbourne” 09.Black Rain – Lethal Dose Of… (Now, some might think that this album has already been released, but if it has, it’s been the worst marketed CD I have EVER heard of. The songs that I heard in particular “I Need My Doctor”, is just amazing – Dr. Feelgood type of music and a real step up from their debut album, which I also loved.) 10.Crashdiet – TBA (4th album from what are becoming these “Sleaze Rock Legends” and album number 2 with lead singer “Simon Cruz”. The guys just have it all and this is why they are admired so much over the globe! The only problem with this release is I think it’s gonna be released in the second half of 2012, oh well, you know what they say – good things come to those who wait!!) 11.Marchello Vestry – TBA (A guy that knows what the fans want, a balls out rockin’ trip back to 1989! Last album was simply stunning!) 12.Chris Laney – TBA (Yes, that’s right – album number 3 is on the way. I was reading this news on his website with a massive grin on my face) 13.Baton Rouge – TBA (Love’em, love’em, love’em!! Haven’t heard from these guys for quite some time, lets hope they return to their glory days. Just another band that I get good vibes about with this new record.) 14.Britny Fox – TBA (Another legendary sleaze glam band will release a new album in 2012. Reading interviews with the band, they will be recording the new album in the same vein as the first 3 records; they may be even recording tracks demoed for the first 2 albums that never officially saw the light of day. Hope that’s not just PR, we’ll see?) 15.Guns N‘ Roses – TBA (The news of the Gunners releasing a new CD in 2012 is very exciting for me. I think I was in the minority when I rated “Chinese Democracy” as one of their best albums ever. I think Axel still has it and if the newie is as good as Chinese Democracy – I will be a happy man!) 16.Babylon A.D. – TBA (Derek Davis and the boys are back and will be releasing a brand new album in 2012. I have loved everything these guys have ever done including their last CD “American Blitzkrieg” which I know most people didn’t dig at all. It wasn’t up to the same standard as their first 2 discs but I think that was mainly due to the production values on the record. 17.Lipstixx ‘N’ Bulletz – TBA (A great new band that I discovered on MySpace and bought us an amazing debut that could have come straight outta 1989) 18.Dynazty – TBA (I read somewhere that this rockin’ band already have plans for a 2012 release. This Chris Laney produced band really know how to rock and do a great job of pleasing the loyal rockers around the way. The first & second albums are awesome and I really love what Perris Records are doing! 19.Charm City Devils – TBA (More new comers that leave a bright future on the scene. Still very hungry to make a name for themselves, so very excited about this one!!) 20.Michael Thompson Band – Future Past (Sound clips sound very impressive and as a massive fan of his debut “How Long”, this is one I’m really excited about too!) 21.Warrant – TBA (Another new album due late next year sounds good to me! Robert Mason is the best rock singer of all time. I really liked their “Rockaholic” album, especially the song “Snake”!) 22.Casablanca – Apocalyptic Youth (I think people know how much I love the work that Chris Laney does behind the sound board and he will be weaving his magic on this record too. Now, to be honest, I don’t know a hell of a lot about this band and album. I’ve just seen their very impressive single/video entitled “Downtown”. I really like the tune. I know Casablanca feature Ryan Roxie but don’t even know what label they are signed to. I love the album cover too, bring on 16/03/12!!!~! 23.Pride Of Lions – TBA (A big fan favourite in the melodic rock community and for very good reason. Another classy band that know what their fans wanna hear.) 24.Baby Jane – TBA (A GREAT new band that I stumbled across on MySpace. They have the look, the sound and the attitude. I also think they are from Sweden which is a great sign! No official release date yet but they have been hinting at a debut album for 2012, let’s hope we see something great.) 25.No Love Lost – TBA (This band are amazing and featured in last years top 100 anticipated albums but the band didn’t end up releasing the CD this year. I highly recommend people check out their MySpace page and especially their song “Dirty Girl” – really killer stuff!!~!) 26.Beretta Jane – TBA (Another band that I stumbled across on MySpace which sound AMAZING!! Can’t wait for the debut album.) 27.Seventh Key – Seventh Key III (Great, great band that write some outta this world tunes! Always guaranteed a top notch recording and a bunch of guys that take so much pride in their work) 28.Slamer – TBA (A new solo album from the great Mike Slamer, I wish he would get back together with Steelhouse Lane, but if that’s not an option – this is the next best thing.) 29.W.E.T. – TBA (Another fan favourite that if memory serves correctly, Mr. McNiece gave a 100% on his rating system and justifiably so. Bring on album number 2.) 30.Hardline – TBA (Like most around these days, Hardline’s debut was an all-time classic & the following album have been of a high quality also, let hope they return to form and come back with another pearler!) 31.Gotthard – TBA (First record with “” at the helm and first record after the tragic passing of original lead singer “”. I really hope that this record is written in a positive vein with upbeat and cheerful songs, but if it’s not – you can hardly blame these Swiss rock legends) 32.Sunstorm – Emotional Fire (Just knowing a quality record label + quality muso’s team up with one idea in mind has gotta be a positive thing and subsequently a great record will come out of it!!) 33.Jeff Scott Soto – Damage Control (I really loved this guy’s last solo album, had some really amazing songs and always look forward to what JSS has up his sleave.) 34.Holy Water – TBA (Apparently these guys have a full length album in the works and due out sometime next year. These guys are fantastic, remind me very much of House Of Lords – very exciting) 35.Axel Rudi Pell – TBA (The old master is back with album number 128 and I just love his style. He has made some of the most amazing epic hard rock music over the years and never seems to fail on any of his releases, especially with vocalist “Johnny Goieli”) 36.Survivor – TBA (Love to hear what these old boys come up with in 2012, you just don’t know. Lets hope for a return to the glory days!) 37.Eclipse – Bleed And Scream (Another great newish band that are keeping the melodic rock flame alight, gotta love that!~!) 38.Nasty Idols – TBA (Was reading on the bands Myspace or Website page that a new Nasty Idols is in the works and will be released sometime next year! Legends of the genre.) 39.Slash – TBA (Really looking forward to this record more so than his last few as I absolutely LOVE Myles Kennedy! He will be singing on all of the tracks. From what Slash is saying about this record, it’s gonna have more direction than his last and that suits me fine!) 40.Van Halen – TBA (Not the biggest fan ever but to hear these guys again together recording new material gets me excited. I really enjoyed their last album with Gary Chorone which I know was rare. This though will probably be the most interesting album of 2011) 41.Lillian Axe – The Days Before Tomorrow (One of my absolute favourite bands, like 99% of people here, would love a return to the Love & War days, unlikely though.) 42.Dokken – TBA (To be perfectly honest, I really dig 1 in every 4 or 5 songs that these guys record, but they are so highly regarded, I always see myself picking up all their releases with much excitement.) 43.Tango Down – Identity Crisis (Kivel Records are a big favourite of mine and really have a great knack on picking extremely quality bands!) 44.Steve Augeri – In The Moment (I could listen to this guy 24/7, absolutely love his voice, I know I say it a lot, but another one of my favourite vocalists and singer of the GREAT Tall Stories. I can only hope the solo tunes are in the same vein as Tall Stories) 45.Find Me – TBA (A new band on the best record label in the world “Frontiers Records”, this one was hard a place for me as I’ve only heard people talk about them and have never heard any of their music. Really interested in hearing the outcome.) 46.Jetboy – TBA (The Miki Finn-less Jetboy are reportedly on the verge of releasing their first full length album in quite some time. I really love this band, they have got the x-factor that always keeps me interested. Their “Off Your Rocker” EP released last year was a nice little teaser, now I’m ready for the full length album!) 47.Steelheart – TBA (One of my favourite ever bands that released 2 of the best Hard Rock albums ever in the early 90’s. I really should have these guys much further up the list but Mike Matijevic is very unpredictable, which could result in the best album of 2012 or the worst, lets hope for the best) 48.Steve Lukather – TBA (Quality artist & probably should be higher up in my order. I really look forward to seeing him when he comes out next year to Australia with the G3 boys!) 49.Starship – TBA (The band that built my city on rock ‘n’ roll, a 2012 version of Starship will be interesting to say the least.) 50.Mark Spiro – It’s A Beautiful Life (Love this guy, been following him for a very long time, right back from his killer debut and he has never let me down over the journey.) 51.Bangalore Choir – TBA (Really liked both of BC’s, not too much more to say. Like most, the debut was fantastic with some killer guitar solos) 52.Mad Max – Another Night Of Passion (After the re-issue of their classic debut album “Night Of Passion”, the guys are heading back into the studio to record some kind of sequel which will be very interesting if nothing else.) 53.Crunch – TBA (Formally known as Adriangale when signed to Kivel Records, I really hope the new tracks are a continuation of where Adriangale finished off. Word has it that the new tracks are every bit as good as anything Adriangale ever did – we’ll have to wait and see.) 54.Asia – Americana (A real quality band that always produce quality records, real value for money band.) 55.Dare – Seven (The great Dare? Well, they were great early in their career, I really hope just like 99% of Melodic Rock fans, they have a return to their vintage form and produce another “Blood From Stone” type album, I’m not holding my breath though.) 56.1927 – TBA (The Aussie legends have recorded a brand new album which I have been following on Youtube. Should be interesting to see what the boys come up with in 2012) 57.Alien – TBA (Another band that oozes class and once again fingers crossed for an album like the killer debut) 58.Sinai – TBA (Similar kind of story to Adriangale, this is the new band from the members of Silvertide. As most people know, Silvertide recorded a follow up album to the CLASSIC debut record, but their record label never released it for some reason. Let’s hope the debut from Sinai will be a natural progression to Silvertide’s debut!) 59.Shinedown – TBA (Nice band that is getting some decent airplay in Australia. Maybe a little too modern sounding for me but still a band of immense quality) 60.Richard Marx – TBA (I guy that reminds me of when I was a kid going through school. A real class act and wow, what an incredible voice! I love you Mr. Marx) 61.Dean Davison & The Bedlam Hearts – Our Unlived Life (Britney Fox’s original vocalist will be releasing his first solo ever and I really look forward to hearing were this goes. One of those albums that could go in any direction, lets hope it goes in the Britny Fox direction!) 62.Gary Hoey – Utopia (One of the best guitarist ever, can’t wait to hear what he comes up with on the new record. I really like the first single off the album “Only Human”, it’s a brilliant Pop Rock track that reading reviews has divided even his most loyal fans. I’m lucky that I’m one of his fans that really likes the new direction, having said that, I would rather him do a new instrumental album like the classic “Animal Instinct”.) 63.Divine Judgement – TBA (Ex-Britny Fox band member, Tommy Paris will be releasing his post BF work through Retrospect Records. I really hope Retrospect don’t fuck up this releases like most of their other cheap knock-offs they do!~!) 64.Bobby Kimball – TBA (A real legend of the melodic rock world – enough said.) 65.Paul Sabu – Bloody Hell (Once again, I’m always keen to check out what Paul is up to. Just like Strangeways, I wasn’t overly rapped in his last effort, but am hopefully for a return to the glory days) 66.Eddie Money – TBA (Thinking about Eddie Money brings great memories for me, I have loved everything he has done since his 1986 classic “Can’t Hold Back”. A real consistent performer!) 67.Aldo Nova – Too Much Sex (I love this guy, I hope the new disc will be in the same vein as “Blood On The Bricks” but from all reports, I shouldn’t be holding my breathe. I have heard that the new disc will be more like “Nova’s Dream” which I also liked.) 68.Faith Circus – TBA (Really looking forward to the follow up album to the 2006 debut released on Kivel Records!) 69.Silent Rage – TBA (Jesse Damon recently let the cat outta the bag that there will be a new Silent Rage album in 2012. One of the greats from the hey day.) 70.Kiss – Monster (I’m not a massive fan of Kiss but really enjoyed their last effort and to hear that they will be releasing a new album in 2012 is very exciting.) 71.Guardian – TBA (Really liked this bands early material and hope they can come up with something similar, also I hope they go easy on the childish religious lyrics, you’d think they would of lyrically grown up by now!) 72.It Bites – Map Of The Past (Loved their “The Tall Ships” album and to be honest it was the first I had ever heard from them. Not massive on the progressive crossover, but a band that come with immense talent) 73.Def Leppard – TBA (This one is way down the order because it really could go either way. Obviously one of my favourite bands that released 2 of my favourite albums “Hysteria” & “Adrenalize”, but to expect anything like those classics would be dreaming.) 74.Andy Taylor – Motherload (Now, this release should be much higher in my top 100 as I love all his previous work, but from memory Andrew McNeice said that his new solo album wasn’t gonna be in the same vein as his other solo work that won him all his fans in the first place, why, I’m not sure?) 75.Wrathchild – TBA (Glam rock legends, they will be releasing a brand new studio release in 2012, I hope my facts are right because they only released a new album in 2011.) 76.Scorpions – Comeblack (I think this is the German rock legends last full length album before they call it quits, lets hope they go out on a high!) 77.Seven Dayz – TBA (Another new exciting band brought to us by Kivel Records. Hope this one will be released early in the new year.) 78.Stephen Percy – Battering Ram (From all reports, the 4th solo effort from Mr. Percy will be in parts songs that were suppose to be on Ratt’s last effort “Infestation”. That’s very exciting have loved everything that Ratt has done over the years.) 79.Jace Pawlak – TBA (New album from Kivel Records. I have heard great things about this guy and he wouldn’t have been signed to Kivel if he didn’t have a truck load of talent.) 80.Planet Zero – TBA (Yet another new band promised to us from Kivel Records, should to be another top quality release from one of my favourite record labels.) 81.Living Loud – TBA (Anything Steve Morse touches, I want now!! I really liked the debut album that these guys did and I’m glad that it wasn’t just a one off album. What gives me extra hope for this album is the fact the Jimmy Barnes seems to be back in form with his fantastic new solo album that he has just released.) 82.Mecca – TBA (Album number 3 is apparently due out very late 2012, I will keep a keen eye out.) 83.Europe – TBA (Like most rockers, we want another “Out Of This World” or “Prisoners In Paradise”, probably not that likely, but we can always hope!) 84.Distorted Wonderland – S/T (Very cool sounding new band. Great attitude mixed with some fantastic production.) 85.London – TBA (Sunset Strip hero’s are back in the studio recording a brand new album with their original line-up. This is bound to be very interesting!) 86.Adler’s Appetite – TBA (Really dug the first album and super keen on hearing the next edition) 87.Carl Dixon – Lucky Dog (Really like this guys voice and though his last 2 solo efforts were great!) 88.Dante Fox – TBA (A band that I’ve just recently got into. Great female vocals that remind me of the great Femme Fatale) 89.Beautiful Beast – Adult Oriented Candy (now these guys sound like something very interesting! From what I’ve heard, these rockers debut album will feature tracks similar to what 1989 hard rock was all about) 90.Sinner Saints – TBA (A band that I discovered through the awesome sleazeroxx.com, their song on MySpace entitled “Livin’ It Up” sounds like the band have a lot of potential – very exciting!) 91.Radioactive – TBA (These release has been talked up by a lot of people that I respect a great deal, can’t wait!) 92.Michael Monroe – Another Night In The Sun (The wirely old glam legend is back with a brand new solo effort. I have never fully loved Michael’s work but always had time for what he’s all about.) 93.David Reece – TBA (Love all the Bangalore Choir material David has been involved with and hope the new solo album will be in a similar vein to the great Bangalore Choir.) 94.Duran Duran – TBA (I should probably be more excited about the new one from Duran Duran but the song samples that I’ve heard so far haven’t really grabbed me much. But from what other respected people are saying, I may have got it wrong – hope so!) 95.Petra – TBA (A really classy band musically that I really do like a lot. In my opinion, the bad point to this band is their childish God talk rubbish in their lyrics.) 96.Priscilla – Eight Lives Gone (The glam legends from Ohio are back with album number 2. It only took them about 25 years to record some new material and from what I’ve heard, the tunes sound pretty damn good! Keep rockin’ boyz!~!) 97.Mayland – Light Of A New Day (Look forward to hearing what these guy come up with on the follow up to the 2008 debut. You gotta love a band that wanna only play classic AOR from the glory days) 98.Yes – TBA (Well, 11 years in the making. Look forward to hear want these rock legend come up with in 2012) 99.Vicious Rumors – Razorback Killer (I’ve got a few of their albums, to be honest, they are a little too Metal for my tastes but ever now a again my ears pick up when Mark McGee blasts off with a sizzling guitar solo.) 100.Danger Avenue – TBA (I thought their debut had quite a lot of potential, really look forward to hearing what these guys come up with on effort number 2) Bands I would love to hear more from in 2012 are: American Bang, Bad City, Hinder, Hardcore Superstar, Wig Wam, Babylon Bombs (W/ New Lead Singer), Vains Of Jenna, Dirty Penny, The Treatment just to name a few. My ultimate Christmas dream would be for someone to release Silvertide’s Second Unreleased album, it would be such a shame if we had to wait 10-15 years to hear what these guys recorded as their follow up! I hope people can get some enjoyment outta my list. Kind regards David
  7. Hello all, Time for my top 100 most anticipated albums of 2011. Something that I really enjoy doing and last year seemed to draw quite a bit of disscusion. 1. Trixter – TBA (One of my favourite ever bands and I have got the feeling they wont be trying anything too experimental, they will hopefully be sticking to the similar formula that brought us one of the best Melodic Hard Rock album ever released in “Hear!”). 2. Warrant – TBA (This could have easerly been number one as Robert Mason is my favourite vocalist EVER bar none! The reason Trixter just pip Warrant for most anticipated album is because Warrant have had a few duds in their career as apposed to Trixter not having any. I highly doubt that will happen with Robert Mason fronting the band and the first track off the album “Sex Ain’t Love” sounds killer!!~!) 3. Beggars & Thieves – TBA (Another one of my favourite bands and one of the most under-rated bands too. I think I had these guys in my top 100 last year, but nothing eventuated, but word has it that the band are not far from recording a new full length album. The new track “Stone Alone” sounds very promising too.) 4. Tyketto – TBA (From all reports another one of my favourite bands will be releasing a new album in the same vein as “Don't Come Easy” and that’s gotta be good :-)) 5. Steelhouse Lane – TBA (What can I say about these guys that hasn’t been said before. To hear Keith Slack again with a killer as always production curtisy of the legend Mike Slamer makes my mouth water!) 6. Britny Fox – TBA (Another legendary sleaze glam band will releasing a new album in 2011. Reading interviews with the band, they will be recording the new album in the same vein as the first 3 records, may be even recording tracks demoed for the first 2 albums that never officially saw the light of day. Hope that’s not just PR, we’ll see?) 7. Marchello Vestry – TBA (A guy that knows what the fans want, a balls out rockin’ trip back to 1989! Last album was simply amazing!) 8. Wake The Light – Leave It All Behind (I know that I’ve been bangin’ on about this band for ages now, but their debut album will be released in February. If people haven’t heard this band before, check out the AMAZING track “Best Of Me” – Killer stuff.) 9. Work Of Art – TBA (I know people around here go nuts for this band and in my opinion, for a very good reason! Very talented are ready for the new one!) 10. Guns N‘ Roses – TBA (The news of the Gunners releasing a new CD in 2011 is very exciting for me. I think I was in the minority when I rated “Chinesse Democracy” as one of their best album ever. I think Axel still has it and if the newie is as good as Chinese Democracy – I will be a happy man!) 11. Farcry – Optimism (I think this was on last years list too as I loved their first album dearly. John Kivel says this album will be released very early 2011 – can’t wait) 12. Riverdogs – TBA (Not much needs to be said about these guys, true professionals that always release a quality product. Bring on the new record.) 13. Baton Rouge – TBA (Love’em, love’em, love’em!! Haven’t heard from these guys for quite some time, lets hope they return to their glory days. Just another band that I get good vibes about with this new record.) 14. Babylon A.D. – TBA (Derek Davis and the boys are back and will be releasing a brand new album in 2011. I have loved everything these guys have ever done including their last CD “American Blitzkrieg” which I know most people didn’t dig at all. It wasn’t up to the same standard as their first 2 discs but I think that was mainly due to the production values on the record. 15. Vain – Hot Stage Lights (Legends! What more needs to be said?) 16. Dear Diary – S/T (A band that I tried to hunt down to release all their unreleased material over the year on CD but though buggers at Eonion Records got to them first!~! This CD will be a collection of all their recordings remastered and package up to look and sound a million buck – can’t wait!) 17. Van Halen – TBA (Not the biggest fan ever but to hear these guys again together recording new material gets me excited. I really enjoyed their last album with Gary Chorone which I know was rare. This though will probably be the most interesting album of 2011) 18. King Korba – TBA (As we know, the last album was a complete disaster but I’m an optimist and I truly believe Frontiers wouldn’t have signed them if they weren’t gonna record something for their die hard fans.) 19. Ten – TBA (Another fan favourite around these parts and once again, for very good reason. True professionals that always know how to please their fans!) 20. After Hours – TBA (I’m so excited to hear these old rockers are back, one of the best British AOR band from the hey day, I now cross my fingers that the new record will be in the same vein as their early efforts!) 21. Mr. Big – What If... (All-star band that you know is gonna record nothing but quality. Reading an interview with Eric Martin, he said that the new album will be like a natural progression of the classic “Lean Into It”. Kind of what Nelson have currently done with their new record. But once again, I hope he is not just saying that to sell more records.) 22. Rhino Bucket – Who’s Got Mine? (I absolutely love this band, call them ACDC clones, call’em what you want – I FUCKING love’em!!) 23. Baby Jane – TBA (A GREAT new band that I stumbled across on MySpace. They have the look, the sound and the attitude. I also think they are from Sweden which is a great sign! No official release date yet but they have been hinting at a debut album for 2011, lets hope we see something great.) 24. No Love Lost – TBA (This band are amazing and featured in last years top 100 albums but the band didn’t end up releasing the CD this year. I really hope Andrew McNeice picks up this band for his new record label, they are super nice guys too. I highly recommend people check out their MySpace page and especially their song “Dirty Girl” – really killer stuff!!~!) 25. Taxxi – TBA (Melodic Rock Records will be releasing the unreleased album that was recorded for MCA Records and was suppose to be the follow up to the classic “Expose” album. Really, really looking forward to hearing this album) 26. Sebastian Bach – TBA (One of the best voices in rock is back with his follow-up to his debut “Angel Down”. Some say that Bach’s new stuff is the “Youth Gone Mild”, but I really like what I’m hearing :-)) 27. Whitesnake – TBA (Dave Coverdale and the boys will be back with their new release and if it’s anything like their last album “Good To Be Bad” it will be something very special.) 28. Robin Beck – The Great Escape (One of my favourite female vocalists and from the early reviews I’ve read, she has gone back to her roots and recorded an album in the same vein as her debut and one of my favourites “Trouble Or Nothin'”) 29. Steve Augeri – TBA (I could listen to this guy 24/7, absolutely love his voice, I know I say it a lot, but another one of my favourite vocalists and singer of the GREAT Tall Stories. I can only hope the solo tunes are in the same vein as Tall Stories) 30. The Last Vegas – TBA (A band that know how to rock and do it with the utmost class. I only hope they can retain the same standard as their highly rated debut “Whatever Gets You Off”) 31. Crunch – TBA (Formally known as Adriangale when signed to Kivel Records, I really hope the new tracks are a continuation of where Adriangale finished off. Word has it that the new tracks are every bit as good as anything Adriangale ever did – we’ll have to wait and see.) 32. Shy – TBA (I love this band and absolutely love their under-rated classic from 1994 “Welcome To The Madhouse”. Hope it’s in the same rockin’ vein.) 33. John Waite – Rough & Tumble (The great vocalist from the mighty Bad English amongst many other band will be releasing a new solo album in 2011. Love this guys voice, it reminds me so much of the late 80’s, early 90’s which instantly brings a good vibe :-)) 34. Casablanca – TBA (I think people know how much I love the work that Chris Laney does behind the sound board and he will be weaving his magic on this record too. Now, to be honest, I don’t know a hell of a lot about this band and album. I’ve just seen their very impressive single/video entitled “Downtown”. I really like the tune. I know Casablanca feature Ryan Roxie but don’t even know what label they are signed to. Does anyone know any more about this band/album?) 35. Tango Down – TBA (Second album from these Kivel Records recording artists, I thought the first album showed the band had a lot of potential, lets hope Tango Down step it up to even another level!) 36. Jetboy – TBA (The Miki Finn-less Jetboy are reportedly on the verge of releasing their first full length album in quite some time. I really love this band, they have got the x-factor that always keeps me interested) 37. The Poodles – TBA (Another great newish band that always release CD’s of extremely high quality. Always interested in hearing what these guys have to offer.) 38. Steelheart – TBA (One of my favourite ever bands that released 2 of the best Hard Rock albums ever in the early 90’s. I really should have these guys much further up the list but Mike Matijevic is very unpredictable, which could result in the best album of 2011 or the worst, lets hope for the best) 39. Dare – Seven (The great Dare? Well, they were great early in their career, I really hope just like 99% of Melodic Rock fans that they have a return to their vintage form and produce another “Blood From Stone” type album, I’m not holding my breath though.) 40. Beretta Jane – TBA (Another band that I stumbled across on MySpace which sound AMAZING!! Can’t wait for the debut album.) 41. Alien – TBA (Another band that oozes class and once again fingers crossed for an album like the killer debut) 42. Sinai – TBA (Similar kind of story to Adriangale, this is the new band from the members of Silvertide. As most people know, Silvertide recorded a follow up album to the CLASSIC debut record, but their record label never released it for some reason. Let’s hope the debut from Sinai will be a natural progression to Silvertide’s debut!) 43. Eden’s Curse – Trinity (There is something about this band that I really like, I think the production that comes with every Eden’s Curse CD has a lot to do with it.) 44. Dynazty – TBA (This Chris Laney produced band really know how to rock and do a great job of pleasing the loyal rockers about the way. The first album was awesome and I really love what Perris Records are doing) 45. Sandra Dee – TBA (Thanks to Eonion Records, all the unreleased Sandra Dee material will see the light of day sometime in 2011. These guys play killer sleaze rock, sunset strip style!) 46. Wanted – Too Hot To Handle (Great sounding band from Eonion Records that could quite well be one of their best releases to date, and that is saying something considering they are an amazing record label) 47. Dean Davison & The Bedlam Hearts – Our Unlived Life (Britny Fox’s original vocalist will be releasing his first solo ever and I really look forward to hearing were this goes. One of those albums that could go in any direction, lets hope it goes in the Britny Fox direction!) 48. Gary Hoey – Utopia (One of the best guitarist ever, can’t wait to hear what he comes up with on the new record. I really like the first single off the album “Only Human”, it’s a brilliant Pop Rock track that reading reviews has divided even his most loyal fans. I’m lucky that I’m one of his fans that really likes the new direction, having said that, I would rather him do a new instrumental album like the classic “Animal Instinct”.) 49. Pompeii Nights – TBA (A great new band and another MySpace discovery that look and sound a little like Baby Jane. Can’t wait to hear a full length album from these guys.) 50. Infinity – S/T (Finally gonna be seeing the light of day through Melodic Rock Records. This album will feature the material written and recorded before the classic Red Dawn album) 51. Fiona – TBA (She’s back and lets hope she does what Robin Beck seems to have done with a return to the glory days) 52. Chickenfoot – TBA (Album number 2 for this all-star outfit will always get my attention and is bound to be of high quality with all the talent in the band) 53. Holy Water – TBA (Apparently these guys have a full length album in the works and due out sometime next year. These guys are fantastic, remind me very much of House Of Lords – very exciting) 54. Circus – Coming For You (Glam legends will finally be releasing all their unreleased material through Demon Doll Records and I’m dying to get this release!) 55. Eddie Money – TBA (Thinking about Eddie Money brings great memories for me, I have loved everything he has done since his 1986 classic “Can’t Hold Back”. A real consistent performer!) 56. Magnum – The Visitation (A band that always interest me and always have something interesting to offer:-)) 58. Aldo Nova – Too Much Sex (I love this guy, I hope the new disc will be in the same vein as “Blood On The Bricks” but from all reports, I shouldn’t be holding my breathe. I have heard that the new disc will be more like “Nova’s Dream” which I also liked.) 59. Kingdom Come – Rendered Waters (Another year, another album! These guys are a really odd band for me, I own everyone one of their albums and like them all, but there is just none of their albums that really stand out.) 60. The Outfield – TBA (This was a pleasant surprise hearing the news that The Outfield were back in the studio and will be releasing a new album in 2011 – can’t wait to hear what they have to offer) 61. Faith Circus – TBA (Really looking forward to the follow up album to the 2008 debut released on Kivel Records!) 62. Bad Habit – Atmosphere (Another band that has stood the test of time and another band that always offer up something interesting.) 63. Apparently Hurtsmile have been a few years in the making:-) Is asking for another Extreme – S/T or Pornograffitti too much to ask for? Probably is:-() 64. Silent Rage – TBA (Jesse Damon recently let the cat outta the bag that there will be a new Silent Rage album in 2011. One of the great from the hey day.) 65. Eric Johnson – Up Close (A truly great musician that I always enjoy hearing from, this is bound to be something quite special:-)) 68. Black Rain – TBA (I’m a big fan of these French Sleaze Rockers. Their debut album took me by surprise and their first single “Innocent Rosie” was one of my favourite songs of 2009.) 69. Moritz – Undivided (Now, these guys debut took me by surprise and I am glad to hear they will be releasing their second disc early next year.) 70. Stephen Percy – Battering Ram (From all reports, the 4th solo effort from Mr. Percy will be in parts songs that were suppose to be on Ratt’s last effort “Infestation”. That’s very exciting have loved everything that Ratt has done over the years.) 71. Jace Pawlak – TBA (New album from Kivel Records. I have heard great things about this guy and he wouldn’t have been signed to Kivel if he didn’t have a truck load of talent.) 72. Miss Behaviour – Last Woman Standing (New band from Hard Rock haven Sweden!! 80’s style AOR that could quite well of been much higher is the top 100 list but I haven’t been able to hear any samples off the album yet) 73. Mike & The Mechanics – The Road (You better believe it! I really love this band and hope with their 2011 release they can rekindle the magic of the glory days:-)) 74. Planet Zero – TBA (Yet another new band promised to us from Kivel Records, should to be another top quality release from one of my favourite record labels.) 76. Adelitas Way – TBA (A band that I really enjoyed even if they are a little modern. Hope the new album is of the same quality as the last.) 77. Living Loud – TBA (Anything Steve Morse touches, I want now!! I really liked the debut album that these guys did and I’m glad that it wasn’t just a one off album. What gives me extra hope for this album is the fact the Jimmy Barnes seems to be back in form with his fantastic new solo album that he has just released.) 78. Danger Zone – Line Of Fire (These guys look AMAZING!! Hope their sound lives up to their look!~!) 79. Distorted Wonderland – S/T (Very cool sounding new band. Great attitude mixed with some fantastic production.) 80. London – TBA (Sunset Strip hero’s are back in the studio recording a brand new album with their original line-up. This is bound to be very interesting!) 81. Adler’s Appetite – TBA (Really dug the first album and super keen on hearing the next edition) 82. Talon – Rejuvenation (I thought this one was going to be released late this year but it now looks like we will have to wait until 2011. I thought Talon’s first album showed a lot of excitement and talent so I hope album number 2 is just a continuation of the debut) 83. Carl Dixon – Lucky Dog (Really like this guys voice and though his last 2 solo efforts were great!) 84. Beautiful Beast – Adult Oriented Candy (now these guys sound like something very interesting! From what I’ve heard, these rockers debut album will feature tracks similar to what 1989 hard rock was all about) 85. Andreas Novak – Novakation (New solo CD from the House Of Shakira vocalist. Straight forward melodic rock with a modern production. Another Melodic Rock Records release.) 86. Toby Hitchcock – TBA (Pride Of Lions vocalist to be releasing a solo effort early next year. Early reports sound very promising.) 87. Prime Suspect – TBA (Sounds very promising from the samples I’ve heard and you can always expect a top class product from the great Frontiers Records) 88. Gary Schutt – Contingency Plan (Big fan of this bloke, I very talented musician and seems to produces the goods time after time) 89. Chris Antblad – Century (Another album that sounds very exciting coming outta Melodic Rock Records. Chris being the vocalist of prog rock band Spin Gallery. Apparently classic AOR with (dare I say it) modern touches) 90. Michael Monroe – Another Night In The Sun (The wirely old glam legend is back with a brand new solo effort. I have never fully loved Michael’s work but always had time for what he’s all about.) 91. Dirty Passion – Different Tomorrow (As soon as I hear the words “Swedish Hard Rock”, I instantly get very excited. To me, Sweden at the moment, reminds me of what L.A. was like in the late 80’s. It seems that most of the talent in Hard Rock at the moment is coming out of Sweden) 92. David Reece – TBA (Love all the Bangalore Choir material David has been involved with and hope the new solo album will be in a similar vein to the great Bangalore Choir.) 93. Duran Duran – TBA (I should probably be more excited about the new one from Duran Duran but the song samples that I’ve heard so far haven’t really grabbed me much. But from what other respected people are saying, I may have got it wrong – hope so!) 94. Petra – TBA (A really classy band musically that I really do like a lot. In my opinion, the bad point to this band is their childish God talk rubbish in their lyrics.) 95. Priscilla – Eight Lives Gone (The glam legends from Ohio are back with album number 2. It only took them about 25 years to record some new material and from what I’ve heard, the tunes sound pretty damn good! Keep rockin’ boyz!~!) 96. Look forward to hear want these rock legend come up with in 2011) 99. Vicious Rumors – Razorback Killer (I’ve got a few of their albums, to be honest, they are a little too Metal for my tastes but ever now a again my ears pick up when Mark McGee blasts off with a sizzling guitar solo.) 100. Danger Avenue – TBA (I thought their debut had quite a lot of potential, really look forward to hearing what these guys come up with on effort number 2) So there you go. I hope some of you can get some enjoyment out of this list and I would REALLY love to hear some of the fans most anticipated albums of 2011 or ones that you think I may have left out of mine. I hope everyone has a really nice Christmas and another rockin' year in 2011! Kind regards Dave
  8. Just heard the new that lead singer Dani has left the band. These guys were the BEST thing in Melodic Hard Rock in 20 years. I would put them a touch above the better known bands - H.E.A.T., Crash Diet, Vains Of Jenna, etc... Their album they released last year "Babylon's Burning" produced by the great Chris Laney was my album of the year by a long way and I'm just very sad that this great band with unlimited potential will no longer be the same. The good news is the band have decided to move forward and are writing new tracks with a new singer from Stockholm that is yet to be named. Does anyone else feel my pain?? I very rarely write on these notice boards (always read them though) but I felt like I had to get this off my chest... Kind regards Dave
  9. 3 Killer bands Suicide!! Who would have ever thought that in this day and age, music could be so cool? Kind regards Dave
  10. Hi guys, Thanks for the great feedback so far on our latest 4 CD's! They are all now available to purchase from the website - www.suncityrecords.com All CD's will be shipped out the same day. Just a note that we are desperately low in stock with the Johnny Crash - Unfinished Business CD, so if you haven't got around to picking up this classic yet, you better get it soon... Suicide has once again done a fantastic job with the artwork. I do listen to all the negitive feedback people spit, but you just can't please everyone. I think the artwork Suicide has done for us is as good as any CD released. The next lot of CD's that we will be releasing will be - Femme Fatale - Lady In Waiting Live Tongue - Snake Eyes Merri Hoax - The Hoaxx Never Jokes PLUS ONE MORE THAT I CAN'T MENTION JUST YET BUT VERY EXCITING INDEED!! P.S. I am always checking in on these message boards daily but choose not to comment as much anymore due to the internet bitches of the world. Kind regards Dave Suncity Records
  11. Wrecking Crew's song Haunted is one of my top 20 songs of all-time and I'm definately not bias toward Australian bands. I own about 10,000 CD's, that's a lot of songs!! Kind regards Dave Suncity Records

  14. Geoff, Sent off 1-800-Pleasuretown to your email address. Please let Heavy Harmonies know what you think. You might think the track stinks!! - lol! Either way, I'm keen to hear what you think. Kind regards Dave
  15. Geoff, I was thinking the same thing the other day. I think he just cut his hair. I think he is under 18 because his parents were at the gig the other night. Geoff, what is your email addy?? I know you want to wait and hear the whole album by yourself but I would love to send you the song "1-800-Pleasetown". Kind regards Dave
  16. Guys, Post your email addys and I will get some Mp3's to you A.S.A.P. You're gonna love this!! P.S. Those stiffs over at Melodirock.com will only give the Hansel album a go if it sounds like Survivor!! Kind regards Dave
  17. Jeff, Believe it or not but the first band that comes to mind is Shotgun Messiah's first album. And Shotgun Messiah's first album is one of my favorites. It also sound a bit like Poison's 2nd & 3rd albums. Let me give it another spin and get back to you but Shotgun Messiah's first album definately comes to mind. Will get back to you! Kind regards Dave
  18. Hi Geoff, Please trust me mate, you will LOVE this album, I really can't speak highly enough of this band. In my opinion their song Murder 101 is the weakest song on the album and I absolutely LOVE that track!! Let me know bud. Kind regards Dave
  19. The benchmark has been set for 2010... (Hansel – Never Say Die) I was lucky enough to be sent an advanced copy by lead signer Jett of Australia's very own Glam Rockers Hansel's debut album called “Never Say Die”. I've gotta tell everyone that this album will take a lot of beating for album of 2010. This is a world class sleaze rockin' CD that is every bit as good as anything to come out of L.A or Sweden in the last 25 years. I just can't talk this album up enough, these guys make me very proud to be an Aussie!. It sounds funny but song of the year so far would have to be the amazingly rockin' Hansel track “1-800-Pleasuretown”. Never Say Die is one of those albums where there is not a filler track to be heard. Songs like “Rock City”, “Rockship Of Love”, “Between A Rock And A Hard Place ”, the list goes on... are classics. I've played this CD about 100 times in full and I just don't get sick of ot. I haven't been this impressed by any band for a long, long time. The bench mark has been set for all other bands in 2010 to try and at least match this record because I really can't see this album being beaten for album of the year, obviously I hope I'm wrong. I drove the 11 hours up to Newcastle to see the band play their record release show on Jan 9 and they put on a killer show to a packed crowd. I meet all the guys and they really are a top bunch of guys too. It would be a major shame for fans of melodic hard sleaze glam rock to miss out on this GREAT album. You can purchase the album directly from the bands website (www.hanselsohotrightnow.com) of only $15, which is a steal. Great summertime, great vibe disc for the hot Australian summer!!! One last thing, I don't have a vested interest in the band, it's just that I have been blown away by this GREAT album and need to tell the world!! P.S. FYI Babylon Bombs got my album of 2009 in a very good year for Melodic Rock and Black Rain's “Innocent Rosie” was my song of the year. Let's hope 2010 is as good, we're certainly off to a great start!! Kind regards Dave
  20. Here is 31-70 - 31 – H.E.A.T. - These guys would be much higher in the order but I'm not 100% sure they will have a new CD in 2010. The time they took to release their first album was agonising!!~! 32 – Treat – Organised Crime being one of my favourite albums, less keyboards and more guitars fellas. 33 – Y&T – One off the stall wards of the scene and they happen to be one of my favourite bands too. 34 - Romeo's Daughter – In my opinion, a real under-rated band in the melodic rock world. A very talented group, lets hope album number 3 is just as good as their back catalogue! 35 – Hansel – I'm a sucker for these fun party bands, their debut single “Murder 101” was great! 36 - White Sister – Dennis Churchill Dries is in my top 10 all-time favourite singers. I actually prefer is other band Tattooed Rodeo, but White Sister will do! Lol!! 37 – Krokus – Another great party band that really know how to please their fans! 38 - Stage Dolls – These guys get better and better with every release, not many bands can claim to doing that. 39 – Broad St. Bullies – From what I've heard around the traps, another amazing unreleased gem, Eonion are making a real impact!! 40 – Dear Diary – An amazing band that I wanted to sign at Suncity but Steve and the boys got them first – Bastards!!~! 41 - Work Of Art – Once again, like H.E.A.T., they would be further up the order but we are looking like we will be getting something late 2010 and possibly early 2011. 42 – Survivor – A new album from Survivor will be interesting – most people would have Survivor higher in the peaking order but I'm a bit sceptical – let see 42 - Little Caesar – Great to see these guys back, great group that we dearly need back in action! 43 – Wanted – From the songs that I've heard, WOW!! Look out, these guys will be a big hit with the Heavy Harmonies community. 44 - Noiseworks – Another Aussie band making a comeback, I only hope the new stuff is half as good as the first 3 albums!! 45 - The Ladder – This is my most anticipated re-release for 2010. Classic album only ever released officially on Vinyl and Cassette will be release next year on Wounded Bird. 46 - Sebastian Bach – Once again, this would be higher in the list because Bach is another one of my favourite voices, but you know never when and what he's up to. Suppose to have the follow up to Angel Down is due out sometime next year. Stan Bush 47 – D'Molls – I'm not even sure if I'm suppose to let this one out but these glam legend are back in the studio and recording album number 3!! So exciting!! 48 - Soulshake – This band some really good from what's on their MySpace site but I can't get a read on what the hell they are doing, does anyone know?? 49 – Mitch Malloy – One of my favourite ever vocalists, just seem to love everything this guy does! 50 - Snakeskin Cowboy – Another promising Eonion Release release due out next year – Exciting! 51 - Sexslave – Another cool new sleazy glam band rockin' out in 2010. 52 - Jack Blades – Another class performer, always something killer will come from such a legend of the industry. I really hope that his mate Mike Slammer produces the new disc!!!!~! 53 - Quireboys – Loved their debut, haven't heard anything from these guys for a long, long time which is why I'm a little hesitant, but as always – fingers crossed. 54 – Gynger Lynn – Follow up to their debut released late last year/early this year – great attitude and great image. 55 – Sweet Sybil – Just in case you don't know, I'm a massive fan of Record Label Eonion Records and this will be another killer release. 56 – Starship – Been waiting for this one for quite some time, always expect some in the highest order from this legends. 57 - Yngwie Malmsteen – Always interested in hearing what Malmsteen has to offer and the cover of Beat It sound very cool indeed!! 58 – Legacy – Eonion Records have 10 album scheduled for 2010 and they could have gone anywhere in my top 60. 59 - Lynzee – A cool band that will be releasing a tone of their old unreleased recordings through Retrospect Records. Lets hope the package is of a quality standard. The artwork looks very cool indeed!!~! 60 - The Poor – A big surprise for veteran Australian band making a comeback after all these years!! Great to see. Alright, I did say I would be doing a top 60 but I'm enjoying doing this a little too much!! I'll go to 70. 61 - Hinder – Love their energy, maybe a little bit modern for my old ears but still very cool 62 – Terry Brock – Great vocalist, you can always expect great quality with this old rocker! 63 - Shinedown – Another great new band, once again, maybe a tad too modern sounding for my likings but still super keen on hearing what they do. 64 - Asia – Progressive music of any style isn't really my cup of tea but when a band does it with such class, I will always take strong interest. 65 - Mass – YES! Apparently these guy are back in the studio and will be releasing an album next year to keep up momentum after last years Crack Of Dawn. 66 - Eric Martin – I have really been enjoying his Mr. Vocalist CD's! I hindsight, the 3rd edition of his Mr. Vocalist CD's should have been much high in the count. This is one I'm very excited about! 67 – Heart – Another band that I've followed since day 1, so I will be excited to hear what these guys (and girls) come up with. 68 – Six AM – Always been a fan of Motley, so therefore, anything Nicky Sixx does – I'm interested. 69 – Sweet F.A. - If this is true, bring it on. I have always loved this band and if what people are saying is true then I'm very excited about a 3rd album. 70 - Mecca – You would thing that the fact that Mecca come in at number 70, I'm not overly interested but that is so far from the truth, next year is just going to be so much fun for my ears!! I could go on and on but people are probably starting to get bored at my thoughts. I look forward to hearing what other people are thinking!! Kind regards Dave
  21. Gee, I didn't expect this kind of response to this thread. This is just something I did in my spare time (sad!) and I'm glad people read it. I will be posting my top 60 most anticipated album of 2010 late today. Kind regards Dave
  22. Thanks Dave!! I do hope they finally get to record ANNIE GET YOUR GUN I've seen them play that song about 5 times and It's still stuck in my head!!! Thank GOD!!!!!~! lol!!!!
  23. Sweet F.A.!!! That would be awesome!!! Where did you hear that? I've heard that Beggars And Thieves are releasing an album sometime next year! Hope my information is correct. P.S.
