  1. Having dealt with James numerous times online as well as several telephone conversations I can vouch for him being one of the most stand-up guys I have ever dealt with. There WAS an issue with one CD I sent him that apparently wound up in his neighbors mailbox, but that was sorted out within a day or 2 followed by an apology. As far as the incident in question here, it looks like a simple disagreement - I can see both parties viewpoints and doesn't appear that anyone was being intentionally deceptive/misleading/dishonest on either side. I certainly don't rush to my email box when I am sick and things can get delayed for one reason or another - hell, I have 4 CDs in a package ready to mail to James right now, but we got blasted with a foot of snow last night & I have not even begun to clear out my driveway yet, so its probably going to delay that mailing for another day. People have jobs & countless other tasks to get done on a daily basis - even more so this time of year plus the fact mentioned previous that mail can be SLOW in December due to the massive amount of people mailing Xmas gifts. I can understand wanting the merchandise that you have paid for ASAP, but occasionally it WILL take a bit longer to receive for a myriad of possible reasons. staryder1 was looking for a price break for the wait & drumrman wasn't willing to give it because he felt the reason for the delay didn't justify it. $10 seems like an awfully insignifigant amount to initiate this type of finger pointing & name-calling, but maybe thats just me? Heres wishing all at HH a Merry Christmas & prosperous New Year(HH = HAPPY HOLIDAYS!)
  2. I'll definitely second, third, fourth the fact that this guy is a TOTAL ass - i was attempting to purchase a CD from him a few months back using best offer option...made 3 offers each higher than the last. Then after declining the 3rd offer he lowered the price to LESS than what my offer was then proceeded to block me from bidding on his auctions!!! Followed by swapping of many profane name-calling emails when I attempted to figure out what his game was... As it turned out, I was able to contact a member of the band of the CD he was trying to sell which he happily sent me for FREE because I was interested in it, so happy ending for me & one more megalomaniac ebay asswipe on the "do NOT deal with" list! I suppose if you use the buy-it-now option at his preset price & pay promptly you will experience no issues at all, but God help you if you attempt to use the best offer option with this assclown!!!
  3. I'll 2nd that BIG time - I've had a cassette version of this title in my collection since shortly after its release & on my 3rd one of those now after wearing out the 1st two! Always wondered what happened to this band as well...would be very interested in the story behind it. Definitely one of my favorite titles of all time in 25+ years of collecting - bet this EP would win over a TON of new fans with a CD release!
  4. Looks like ebay is getting a bit quicker or someone is reporting it faster(more likely!) as heavymetalhaven70 ID is now NLARUd... I'm sure his new ID is already up & running but shouldn't take long to figure it out - just have to look for a new member in PA bidding on high-priced demo tapes...
  5. Thanks to ebays laughable automated screening security of new members that re-register after being kicked off countless times, Rob/Chris or luck313, sleaze4ever, glamster1970, helterskelter2008, & whatever other alias IDs this jerkoff has used in the past is back with his latest ebay ID: heavymetalhaven70 If you are like me & many others on these boards who have had the misfortune of dealing with this DORK, please join me in adding this new ID to your blocked bidders list!
  6. Looks like this clown is back again with a new ID: helterskelter2008 Using Pottsville, PA as a location which is just down the road from Scranton - check out all the sleaze/glam demo items on the bidder list for this ID and it sure looks like the same guy!! Anyone who has dealt with this idiot previous may want to put this new ID on their block bidder list - at least until ebay figures out its him, he gets NLARUed again & he comes up with the next new one...
  7. Ebay must finally be listening to someone regarding this guy & the multiple IDs. How long before he shows up again with a new one?
  8. Your current high bidder on this auction is another crazed demo tape assclown: metalrules-2007 AKA luck313 AKA sleaze4ever AKA glamster1970...Rob Sinkaus in Scranton PA. If he wins hopefully he pays up without issues - his "false description" non-payments have been well documented on the boards here as well as ebay feedback from his prior IDs, all of which are now NLARUed...
  9. This luck313/sleaze4ever/glamster1970 assclown has another new ebay ID: metalrules-2007. I had his other 3 IDs blocked because he did the same to me bidding up a tape to $89 then claiming "false description" and never paid... He recently won a cassette from me with the new ID and did follow through with a money order payment(took 2 weeks) and I didn't figure out it was him until he left feedback for me - the wording came across as vaguely familiar so I checked out what else he was bidding on and sure enough he's got around 30 bids on OOP & demo melodic/hair metal and sleaze/glam style cassettes. Plus the Pennsylvania address should have been a dead giveaway but totally went over my head at the time. A humorous side note here is the buyer name of the new ID is "Chris". Those familiar with his previous escapades on the boards here might remember the Rob/Chris car accident thing... Ebay sellers who have had issues with this nutjob might want to add this new ID to their blocked bidders list to avoid any potential problems - I can see he has won a few auctions he has yet to receive feedback for including one tape he bid up to $107. If his past history is any indicator the negs should be showing up any time now...
  10. Just noticed this on ebay myself and came here to report the info but looks like jlp caught it first... You would think this clown would at least be smart enough to use a different background with his photos - the dark bedspread with the distinctive pattern is on all his item pics under every alias when he sells. And yep, he's already bidding up his own auctions - see ALIAS MANGLER demo. I reported this guy to ebay for the aliases and shill bidding, but of course they have yet to take any action. M
  11. Davesmetal is back on ebay under the user name "metalslaves". http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...rid=metalslaves Appears he may have some adequate help processing orders now - only one complaint out of 500+ transactions... M
  12. Rob was a good customer for me over the summer, but the last 2 transactions I had with him were the biggest headache I have ever had on ebay with a buyer. This assclown lied to me numerous times about following through with payment, illegally retracted his bids on my auctions, then left me a retaliatory neg claiming "false description" when he changed his mind about purchasing the demo he won. Paid seven other sellers whose auctions ended after mine did then when I asked him why he was not paying me first he said "I wanted the other ones more". I have heard plenty of other horror stories from other ebayers who have had bad experiences with him as well - my advice would be to proceed with caution because he could do you like he did me...bid your auction up then decide he doesn't want it after he wins. Suppose I could hope he changes his mind again...maybe the new mind will work better! Or better yet, maybe "Chris" has finally recovered from his horrible accident & will step in and make things right... - M
  13. I would agree with JL - I have had nothing but good experiences with Japanese buyers/sellers. Always curteous to the nth degree, always follow through exactly as stated whether paying or sending, etc. Guess there are bad apples in any country but I have certainly never encountered any in Japan...(knocks on wood) M
  14. I'm sure you can dig up "interesting trivia" like that about ANY state in the USA - say New Jersey, for instance?
  15. http://retrospectrecords.com/Band/Mariah2.htm You must be looking at a different page than I am...
  16. I see that MARIAHs "Somewhere Between Heaven And Earth" CD is billed on the Retrospect website as being "available for the 1st time ever on any format" and "previously unreleased". Not sure where this misinformation was obtained, but I have had the original demo tape of this release from 1992 on Power Star Records in my collection for years... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
  17. I chose Night Of The Stormrider. Who is the other member that was with me on this vote? Toast to you!
  18. MIKE S

    RIOT CD'S

In this order: 1)Fire Down Under - Guy Speranza vocals(R.I.P.) Their best ever IMO. 2)Restless Breed - Rhett Forrester vocals(also R.I.P.) Classic! 3)Thundersteel - Tony Moore vocals. I would agree that he was their best vocalist. 4)Born In America - Rhett Forrester vocals 5)Privelege Of Power - Tony Moore vocals 2 other earlier releases in Rock City & Narita with Speranza which are good too, but may sound dated to some ears.. Anything with Mike Dimeo is average at best in my book...
  19. Nothing can touch the debut - one of the greatest metal releases ever! My neck gets sore just thinking about it... - M
  20. I had the extreme pleasure of catching them live on thier current tour w/PRONG on Feb. 27 in Minneapolis. Hadn't seen them live since December of 1989 in Florida & their show totally kicked ass! Blitz was cordial enough to come out to the bar area after the gig and meet with the fans & do some signing - got my new OVERKILL long sleeve tour tee autographed!! I voted for the debut Feel The Fire - the raw energy on that one still holds up after all these years for me. Years of Decay would be a close 2nd...
  21. Within the last day or so this previously available CD suddenly vanished from the Retrospect catalog. Any people supporting the label that may know why care to elaborate on what happened to this title?
  22. How about "Gimme Dat Ding" by The Pipkins, also from the early 70s...
  23. I'll admit that I'm old enough to remember that one(1972!) - I had one of those K-Tel LPs back then with that tune on it & remember hearing it on the radio many times as well..
  24. POINT BLANK would be my choice here - why this band never made it big is beyond me... Out of the ones on the list , it's a coin-flip between BLACKFOOT & MOLLY HATCHET.
  25. True, many of the same vendors list on both GEMM & MusicStack. However, there is a big difference if you are choosing one or the other to make a purchase: From the MusicStack website: "MusicStack Disclaimer: After MusicStack connects the buyer and seller together, MusicStack has nothing more to the do with the transaction. All transactions are between the buyer and the seller and MusicStack assumes no liability for any transaction gone bad. Play it safe! Do your homework on sellers before you buy from them." From the GEMM website: "GEMM guarantees all orders processed by GEMM where funds are collected from the customer and forwarded to the seller. This is a service GEMM provides to the customer, not the seller." You get 100% buyer protection from GEMM if you send payment to them rather than directly to the seller - they will refund your money no questions asked if you are not satisfied with your transaction for ANY reason.
