Just took this out of my car's CD player tonight for the first time since I bought this. Just really high on the album. There are a couple of tracks that aren't quite up to par, but this album keeps me going. I imagine it will be back in the car before long. Hoping some others have found it ages as well as I think it has... at its "advanced" age. haha

I think I've purchased more albums this year than in the first half of many recent years. (Or maybe I'm just underestimating myself.) Black Country Communion Black Country Communion 2 Slash & The Conspirators ft./ Myles Kennedy - deluxe edition w/ bonus tracks, DVD For those that are loving Myles' voice on here, if you haven't already, be sure to check out his work in Mayfield Four. Some good songs and incredible vocal maneuverings.

Anyone here ever see this show before? It's an monthly show on the internet where Daryl Hall gets together with his "house band" and a guest artist or band and they jam on some of the artist's tunes, some of Daryl's music, and just generally talk about music, life, etc. Plus, they do a little cooking episode and eat at the end. Pretty cool deal. Bought the deluxe version as well and man, I love this album. Particularly the beginning and ends. They seem to rip quite a bit more. The extra for the 2 bonus tracks was well worth it as the album finishes up incredibly with the last 3 songs. So glad to have a full Slash/Myles album, not just the 2 like on his last album. I hope they continue to work together and put out some more tunes. (And tour around here next time!) I've heard that about Myles being a bit grating on this record. I don't see it like others have, but as Tim(2) said, I can see how others would have that opinion.

"Oh shit, it's a piggy bank!" I think that was the point of it so Boyd's words while he was in the holding cell were even heavier. That he and Arlo were truly family. Whether he meant the implication that Arlo and Raylan weren't, based on the fact that Boyd prefaced that comment with how he and his own father weren't close like that, I'm sure Raylan took it that way. And then the fact that Arlo took the rap on Devil as well, something he'd never do for Raylan, I'm wondering if we'll see any after effects on Raylan next season in his dealings with Boyd. I can't believe how this show keeps itself so strong year after year. Just phenomenal television that I can't imagine ANYONE not enjoying if they truly gave it a chance. (I know a couple folks saying they just gave up after 2-3 episodes of season 1. My gosh, what an investment a few episodes that are more mediocre prove to be if you just keep with it.)

Breezed through Butch Walker's "Drinking With Strangers" in a week or so. Light read was really good, found out a few things (or a few things more in depth) that I didn't already know. Wish there were a few more names he would have mentioned in some stories, but I know why he didn't. (I'm sure there's somewhere out there, also, where someone has speculated on identities.) Just a shame to hear him back on the SouthGang stuff, regardless of how young/immature as a songwriter he was. He even nails an M3 song. I know it's a matter of opinion, but if I were him, I'd be more ashamed of some of my recent output as opposed to earlier stuff. Then again, I don't know that I'd be ashamed at all as it was where I was at that stage in my life, even if it didn't work for me now. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the read very much. Recommended for any fans (or even someone just wanting yet another tale of the music biz; that was why I got Tommy James' book and found it to be VERY interesting).

I'm sure money was a factor as well, but I'm wondering how big a part of it was not playing Eli until the playoffs (not that they won't have that happen regular season somewhere along the way, though I'm not sure how they determine interleague games), how much he thought his road to the playoffs (and possibly another ring) would be easier in the AFC West as opposed to the NFC West, and how much of it was the fit of Denver for his family as opposed to San Francisco. I have to admit, I was shocked when I first heard the news, but looking back at it, I'm not too surprised. (Definitely not surprised it wasn't the Titans; while he'd be headed back to Rocky Top, they weren't going to be Peyton's best shot. But I thought the 9ers were front-runners for getting him back to the playoffs/Super Bowl. Even though the road to the NFC crown would be have to include playing the Packers or Giants and maybe other teams, winning the NFC West would seem to be a lock. Unless he was worried about the Rams with all their draft picks now. haha)
