  1. I'm wondering, when I walk in to Best Buy, if I'll be able to find this. Seriously, though, I think I'll have to get this. Not much music purchased the last few years, and most of it digitally, but I'm thinking I want this CD in my collection.
  2. Holy gone forever, Batman! Pete, congrats on the new development! But both of those links in your sig don't lead to anything about a bar. (The one in your profile does, but not your sig.) As a matter of fact, if I ever venture out on the road again, I'll have to swing by. I'm sure you know which things to get, but if you ever need any suggestions, shoot an old guy a PM. lol (Drinking a Wulver, bourbon barrel ages wee heavy from Thirsty Dog Brewing here in OH. Gotta say, I've heard about Big Gruesome and would love to try it. Sweet Baby Jesus was a tremendous let down.) I remember reading his posts about that and I gave OSH a try too. Didn't do anything for me either, but as you mentioned, everyone's tastes are different. But on the good side, that's less of it that you and I will take up and Jez can have more. lol
  3. You guys are ! Much appreciated on the help! Looks like I'm making my first eBay purchase in a while.
  4. I just recently became aware of this and the fact that there's an acoustic cut of Nobody Wins In This War on there. Now, I obviously didn't get it when it came out, and I'm guessing too many others didn't either as it says the label name is Mitch Malloy. Was this officially released or did he just sell CDs (copies?) I seriously need to get this, or at least that acoustic version of Nobody Wins. Any info/help is GREATLY appreciated!
  5. Howdy strangers. Apologies if this is a repeat, but I searched and didn't see a thread. Former White Sister and Tattoo Rodeo lead vocalist Dennis Churchill-Dries, apparently just going by Dennis Dries now, has a Soundcloud with some new songs recorded on his own. I can only imagine what could really be done with his voice in a real studio. Still haven't had the chance to listen to ALL of the tracks, but liking what I have listened to so far. (I wish I could just put them on a disk and then have them to listen to/digest in the car, which is where I get to do my most concentrated/serious listening.) Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/tall-tail-music
  6. Well, if you heard of them, that's all fine and dandy, but anyone have any CDs or a line on them? A friend is looking for them as a Christmas gift and I don't think I'll be making it to Pittsburgh to CD shop before then. I googled and found some leads, but nowhere that sells them. (Could be because the band is no longer around.) Anyway, MAYBE they were a local band (OH, PA area?), but not sure. Can't even find any info. Anyway, hoping someone from the area (or the greater board, in general), could help out with at least some info, or a link or even some copies. Thanks for reading!
  7. It was sent to me via text from a former co-worker, so I really don't have any idea if it appeared on the air, but when I forwarded it to a bunch of other like-professional-led people and they shared it, no one had ever seen it before and some professed to be K&P fans.
  8. This hits too close to home (for truthfulness AND hilarity). I certainly don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of their skits, but none will ever top this. http://youtu.be/Dd7FixvoKBw

  10. Supposedly going to get some inclement weather around here, but nothing like what coasters are facing, so it may be messy, but that's it. To all those in the path, stay safe.

  12. Oh God Dave, sorry to hear that. I can't imagine losing something that vital. I know life goes on, but, man! I hope that you heal mentally/emotionally as much as physically. And that technology may be able to help somewhere not too far down the road. I'm sending up an extra prayer tonight. Take care of yourself Dave.
  13. Oh shit! As much as I loved the original, I'm going to have to see this. ('Course, it's 99.9999999999% assured it won't be in the movie theater, but still...)

    Books

Absolutely the best book I've read in ages. Rarely do I read anything other than biographies, but I am so glad I chose this one. Totally hilarious stories and a few very touching moments. Because of things in my life, one section had me in tears. (Not the laughing kind either.) An immensely talented guy, Dave Hill succeeded in writing quite possibly the best humor book around. (Certainly the best I've read.) Don't hesitate to pick this one up!
  15. Summer Olympics, men's edition (same disclaimer as above):
  16. Summer Olympics, women's edition: (I know not all are from the 2012 Summer Olympics, just figured it was a snappy title.)

    Books

I recently went through a re-reading phase. I re-read Shawn Michaels' book. Then to compare his version of the Montreal Screwjob, I read Bret Hart's book. Then to compare his version of Owen's fall and the impending suit, I re-read Martha Hart's book about Owen. But, at the end of the last book, I ordered a book from Amazon, solely based on the reviews. Tasteful Nudes by Dave Hill. I've only gotten a few stories in to it, but it's pretty damned funny. I'm definitely going to enjoy the rest and then look out for any other releases.

  19. Welcome back Jim! And nice re-entry in to this world. haha Back to the latest theme: Odette Yutsman Kindergarten Cop: Later:
  20. Thank you Jim. It gets so cold and lonely in here sometimes. (Definitely worth it to, eh? haha)
