  1. Olympia Musicmania Nov 14-15 '09 Always some good AOR at this one (well in previous years - can't foretell what is going to be there this year)??? Does anyone on this board go? Link: http://www.eco.co.uk/visitors/whatson/cons...ympia-november/ Graham http://www.freewebs.com/aor4sale/
  2. Thanks for the heads-up. Will give 'em a listen. Graham http://www.freewebs.com/aor4sale/
  3. Superb news. I love all Unruly Child's previous material and have long wished for more. Graham http://www.freewebs.com/aor4sale/index.htm
  4. The new album stuff sounds great (as was their debut under this name). For anyone who likes these guys they should also check out Fury (http://heavyharmonies.com/cgi-bin/glamcd.cgi?BandNum=4530&CDName=Fury) as this was their previous band back in the 80's. They only did the one album under this name (there are loads of other bands called Fury, so don't get confused) and it is a real great slice of Pomp-laden AOR from THE decade. Hi - I have 'Round One' for sale over at my site on CD. It is up for £30 but I happened to speak to the guy selling this the other day and he is willing to negotiate (reminds me I must amend posting on my site to this effect). My site is: http://www.freewebs.com/aor4sale/ (There is a full description on the site regarding this release/condition/picture link etc) I may also have 'Danger Zone' in the near future (but this is a Time Warp re issue)... You can email me at: aor4sale@yahoo.co.uk Many thanks - Graham
  7. Too right. A fantastic album. Peter Beckett also did some cool stuff with Think Out Loud and an obscure set of demos with Steve 'Autograph' Plunkett. Graham http://www.freewebs.com/aor4sale/index.htm
  8. Welcome to the board. Graham
  9. I picked up a copy of this a while back and just have not got around to playing it. This has reminded me to do just that. I will also check out the link. Thanks - Graham

I second that. Right on... Thanks for the link heads up.
  11. Brilliant stuff. Thanks for the link. Their other material was great and with this in mind I think I will be ordering this latest album asap...
  12. I'd say on par with the other (1st offering). Have heard off a friend and hope to get my very own copy in a day or two.

    Hi

Kerrang - tell me about it. You'd think the 80's never happened if you look at it these days. I sooooooooo miss Wimpwire and all the cool interviews/articles from the bands I was into (and am still into). Sadly in my mind nothing has replaced Kerrang - even though there are some other good mags out there now.

    Hi

Hi - Berkshire. Is that the Profile pic on my Facebook you mean? (Recently changed it). All the best - Graham
  15. I picked up a copy of China Sky down in Brighton (UK) back in the late 90's on CD for next to nothing. The guy in this independent shop had it in the Dance section (obviously no idea what it was) - I only happened upon it as I was leaving the shop. I had found some other bits and payed for them then as I wen't out it caught my eye - I could not believe it. Ok so it was not mint but it plays fine and all the artwork was fine. I walked around on a constant high for the rest of the day. It was an album at the time that had elluded me. One listen and I was hooked - it was a bargain and now comfortably sits in my Top 10 of all time fav albums. Graham
  16. London: - There are Record Exchanges in Nottinghill Gate, Berwick St & Camden - these sell all formats of music and great for bargains (highly recommended) There is a specialist Oxfam Music outlet in Ealing Broadway - in which I have picked up some intersting FF AOR before Croydon has 1O1 Records - hit n' miss for AOR/Metal etc / Beanos was still open on one level the last time I was over there in July '09 but I fear it has gone now from what I understand? Most have gone. You can travel out to the 'burbs like Reading, Billericay (don't think I have spelt that right) for the odd shop but often or not it is not worth it. Most have either disappeared completely or gone online. Check me out online: http://www.freewebs.com/aor4sale/index.htm Graham
  17. Over at Andrew's MelodicRock.com site: http://www.melodicrock.com/ ...there is a first look at the lovely Kimberley Dahme' (Boston) solo album and a download of one track. Great FF stuff. Check it out... Graham
  18. Thanks for the heads up on CD Baby having. Check out: http://www.phonorec.com/Diana/venus&.htm http://www.phonorec.com/Diana/newmoon.htm (mention of Baywatch song) http://www.phonorec.com/Diana/venus&1.htm Also, Diana Dewitt is linked with the fantastic soundtrack 'Night Of The Comet'. If you can find a copy of this soundtrack on Vinyl or MC it is a great slice of AOR. Graham
  19. Hi all - Listening to Camy Todorow '2 Souls In 1' at the mo - anyone heard of this lady (I guess you all have)? This is a second spin for me - just trying to get a handle on the second half of this album... The first half and a a bit is awesome Melodic Hard Rock and then she meanders off on a tangent that even see's here doing some God awful Dance track, as for 'Nights In White Satin' (WTF). I remember Izabella's album being a game of two halves as well with the second half being the best. Why o' why do they do it? Has anyone else come across this particular anomaly with albums that start out all AOR (or in Izabella's case - in reverse) only to seriously meander off in another direction? Thanks - Graham
  20. Hi - Thank you for the warm welcome/s... ...I look forward to contributing to the board and conversing with you guys about the wonderful world of AOR. Keep Rockin' - Graham
  21. Yippee!!! All worthy of the re-iss treatment...
  22. Awesome album from Pseudo Echo. Whilst I do like their other material this is by far the most AOR related. I have only ever seen it once on CD (and I snapped it up) at Amoeba in San Francisco when I was over there. I understand they (the band) do not look on this album too favourably as it was not really their thing. They were flown to the U.S. to cut it and felt it was too 'Van Halen-ish' - a case of the Americans trying to turn them into something they were not, from what I understand. It worked for Whitesnake (1987) but sadly for these guys, well, it didn't. It hit the bargain bins and Pseudo Echo called it a day. Another AOR crime... Graham
  23. Thanks for the info fahrenheit. 1927 are one of my fav Aussie bands.

    Hi

Hi folks - I was keen to get going and so I have posted several things to the forum without coming here first. I know it's not compulsory but, well better late than never. My name is Graham Fenn, I live in the UK, near London and have been into AOR and related since around the mid-Eighties. I was still at school during these years so strapped for cash I did not have any kind of collection to speak of. In '89 I set sail for the wonderful world of Work and with hard earned cash in hand I began building my collection. Through the years I got married, moved house (a number of times), did this did that and started to also get into selling/trading original AOR/related music on Vinyl, CD, MC, Video & DVD. A couple of years back I decided to move this mainly offline venture/hobby (apart from a few sales here and there on eBay) to the online world. I did not want anything fancy and so slowly built up a free hosting site that accomodated my ambition. In 2007 the site went live with my first sale going to Dave 'Kerrang' Reynolds - for me that was worth setting the site up alone. He is a God just like the singers we all hold in high esteem and for me to have something he wanted made my day. Thanks Dave, I hope the album still sits in your collection and it brings you joy listening to it. Since then I have made some great friends, both trading and selling. My site whilst owned/updated by me also has a few local folks selling on it too. It has also grown and I have things in mind for the future. I post in MelodicRock.com & Glory-Daze as well as elsewhere about updates to my site and hope that I will be doing the same here in the near future. Well, I think I have bored the pants off you enough and hope that you will come check out my site sometime. Thank you. Graham Site: http://www.freewebs.com/aor4sale/
