  1. Awesome, didn't expect this vintage 80's sound and his voice hasn't changed a bit! Maybe not the best hook line ever but cool enough... Now I'm really looking forward to the album and to seeing him live at the H.E.A.T festival!
  2. Now that was an easy one 😉 Great Westcoast / AOR album from producer legend Michael Omartian 😁
  3. Great stuff mate! The voice sounds familiar, I'm 100% sure that I've heard this song before and 99% sure that I have that CD in my collection but... for the life of me I have no idea where to start searching. I'll keep on trying to find it out! Cheers Ralf
  4. Wanted to see if I could help but that link doesn't work for me mate. Tried to copy and paste into my browser but nothing... https://youtu.be/5KnuqciUmfo
  5. Certainly no coincidence... LOL Very much looking for their new album though!!
  6. This sounds awesome, just awesome! Hoping the other new tunes are on a similar level!! Now I'm absolutely stoked to give the full album a listen.
  7. Great stuff! Like this full song A LOT! Not totally sold yet on the other two soundbytes, especially in the vocal department, but I like their energy, harmony vocals and slightly progressive twist which could well make this a grower. Sounds like production is top shelf as well... Looking forward to the next full song.
  8. Both great songs but officially released on vinyl (OST & 7")

    Ripoff?

QUIET RIOT's "Slave to love" was a variation of the STAN BUSH demo "Blinded" with different lyrics (credited to the QR members). STAN released his original version later in 1990 as b-side of "Forever" which was used in a TV commercial. Both songs don't feature on any of his full length albums.
  10. Musically very basic but fun tune. Totally reminds me of what BRYAN ADAMS did with this one in the 80's:
  11. Written by STAN MEISSNER and featured on the wonderful METROPOLIS CD ?
  12. Thanks mate! It's the other way round for me but will need to invest in the digital copy in this case. Sounds fantastic!
  13. Great stuff indeed, cheers for the heads up! Completely passed me by back in 2012... Just a pity that the CD doesn't seem to be available to buy anymore anywhere. ? But maybe it's just me and you can point me in the right direction. Where did you get your copy from?
  14. Having just checked their FB site it seems they not only have a new rhythm section but have also replaced singer Lars Aass... Well to be fair the new guy sounds pretty good in that clip. Cool song and as both guitarist and keyboarder are from the classic "Back in business" lineup and they've used the same producer from back in 1989 I guess we can expect a good album. Wonder if they've recycled any of those old demos from their shelved 3rd album from the early 90's...
  15. - Awesome guitarist! - Bloody awful singer... The vocalist in the last clip sounds much better though! Different guy for sure?!
  16. Cheers mate! Will order it anyway, was just hoping it would be silver pressede though.
  17. Can anybody confirm the physical version is silver pressed or comes as a CD-R?
  18. Geoff, what the hell was the 4th song? So far I've heard "Let's Go" (loving it!), "All Time High" (great!) and "Dangerous" (killer tune if there ever was one! Never expected to hear something that good from the Leps again - ever!) but can't for the life of me find any trace of a 4th new song anywhere on the net. Am I blind or has the posting been deleted? Which one was it? How you'd desrcibe it? Any link available?
  19. Right! I talked to Jules at the H.E.A.T. festival in Ludwigsburg last Sunday and he confirmed that the Japanese pressing will have the three EP tracks ("Cross To Bare", "Change Of Passion" and "Don't Fail Me Now") tagged onto the end. Their performance at the H.E.A.T. festival was just awesome by the way. Wish they'd have played a tad longer... If I didn't have to work on Saturday I'd go seeing them play in Munich in a second. Especially as this will be a headliner gig where surely they'll play a few more songs (if not both albums in their entirety) You guys going to Firefest this year will be in for a treat! And yes, "Serenade" is a killer CD if there ever was one! Those massive keys mixed with crunchy guitars is just AOR perfection if you ask me. Honestly, for me this is the best CD I've heard this year. Cheers Ralfster
  20. So what is Heroes? just so I dont have to waste my time checking it out, is it one you guys believe i can just "blind order"? do you give me your word it's sweet melodic bliss? and assure me it's one of if not their best disc? You really can't go wrong with "Heroes" if you dig "Any Other Way"! It's my personal fave from their catalogue (closely followed by "Against The World" and "Almost Unreleased") and certainly their most AORish CD. There's no weak track on it IMHO. Originally only released in Japan and quite expensive but as Tim says just get it in the 2-CD set togther with "Circles". Cheers Ralfster
  21. Thanks guys! I've just listened to the samples and I'm definitely going to order it! I agree, on some tracks I can't hear an improvement but others sound f***** fantastic. Now I just wish they would do an all new CD someday soon! The comments on their forum however rather indicate that future releases (which are planned for sure) will be of a similar nature. Oh well..... Cheers Ralfster
  22. Hi guys, has anybody already heard the "new" PETRA CD "Back To The Rock"? They're back with GREG X VOLZ and on their homepage http://www.classicpetra.com/ you can hear snippets of a few tracks. It's mostly new recordings of old Petra classics (pre Schlitt era only) but they also include two new songs. I'm just wondering if it's really worth getting as I have all the original CD's and usually I'm not into re-recordings so much. Cheers Ralfster

  24. Easy question - both should be inducted...especially when looking at all that featured pop stuff labeled as Hi-Tech-AOR. Cheers Ralfster
