  1. Ya think??? Awesome, Awesome tune!!! Feels, Good, Don't Stop~Kick Axe AGREED! Dare - "Wings of Fire"
  2. Dangerous Toys - "Dangerous Toys" (1989) Dare - "Blood From Stone" (1991)
  3. L.A. Guns - "Tales From the Strip" (2005) I'm going to make a bit of a bold statement here... quite possibly their best album since "Cocked & Loaded"!
  4. Lust - "Hooker" .... early demo from one of Ron Keel's first bands, circa 1980.
  5. Let's flashback to the year, 2006... Both Quiet Riot and Warrant released albums back in '06. Quiet Riot released "Rehab" and Warrant released "Born Again". Now, both of these albums were met by mixed reactions... but I have to say that I really enjoy both of them. "Rehab" had some really heavier-edged songs on the album that really turned out well, I think. As you know, it turned out to be DuBrow's final album with Quiet Riot, as he passed away in 2007. (RIP Kevin) . Along with the straight ahead rockers, Quiet Riot's "Rehab" also includes a slower song called, "Blind Faith". This is a really amazing song.... both lyrically and musically. A few of my favorite cuts on the album are; "It Sucks To Be You", "South Of Heaven", "Blind Faith" and "In Harms Way". A pretty solid album all the way through. Like I said, some of the songs have a bit of a heavier edge to them, but that classic Quiet Riot flare is still in there and Dubrow sounds as good as ever. Now on to Warrant's 2006 album, "Born Again". During this period for the band, they had Jamie St. James on vocals....who rose to fame with another band, Black N' Blue. When I first listened to this album, I really didn't think to much of it. I was kind of dissapointed. But since then, this album has really grown on me! Now Jamie St. James has a totally different vocal style than Jani Lane...but he is a good vocalist in his own right. With St. James in the fold, Warrant's "Born Again" sounds like a mix of classic D.R.F.S.R. era Warrant and Black N' Blue. Which is a good thing to me! The only thing that I have to complain about is that I feel that Jamie St. James' vocal style fits in better with Black N' Blue than in Warrant... but that's just my opinion. I still liked him on this album.... "Born Again" starts off with bluesy-hard rockers like "Devil's Juice", "Dirty Jack" and "Bourbon County Line"...which gets the album off to a good start. The song, "Hell, CA" I like a lot too...it just has that "feel good" vibe to it.... The last few songs on the album are just as strong (if not stronger) than the beginning...songs like; "Good Times", "Roxy", "Down In Diamonds", and "Velvet Noose" are a few of my favs on the album! So all in all, these are two very strong hard rock albums that were released back in '06. They turned out to be a couple of my favorite albums released that year...and they still get a good amount of spins from me today. 2006 was one of the BEST years for rock and metal in recent memory. There were several other really good releases, too.... Alright now I turn this back to you...has anyone else heard Quiet Riot's "Rehab" or Warrant's "Born Again"? And if so, what are YOUR thoughts on them? I'd like to know if I'm in the "minority" with liking these albums (like I think I am) or maybe I'll find out that I'm not alone! lol
  6. Warrant - "Born Again" (2006) Sweet F.A. - "Stick To Your Guns" (1990)
  7. Hey guys, Just posted another "Guitarist Spotlight" on my site. This time it features, Keel/Cold Sweat guitarist, Marc Ferrari! One of the most severely underrated guitarists to come out of that era if you ask me... It includes a short bio, related links, photos and videos! Check it out here; http://hairbangersradio.ning.com/profiles/...-spotlight-marc
  8. The samples on the Myspace page sound pretty cool to me! Probably gonna pick this one up...
  9. Helix - "No Rest For the Wicked" (1983) Innocent Rosie - "Bad Habit Romance" (2009)
  10. Eonian Records has released 4 albums so far... High Noon, Gynger Lynn, Charlemagne & Pistol Dawn. We've done polls on 3 of them so far... now it's time for one on Pistol Dawn! Pistol Dawn's "Conversation Piece"... a fantastic hard rockin' album that just drips with sleaze! I like this album a lot... What's your favorite song off of it? My vote goes to, "Dreams Come True"! Closely following that would be the rest of the album! Haha, I can't decide....a lot of really good songs on this one. To close to pick a 2nd place winner for me....
  11. We've already done polls on High Noon and Gynger Lynn, now it's time for Charlemagne! Charlemagne's self-titled disc is actually my personal favorite of the first 4 Eonian releases. (even though I've been enjoying them all!) It's just melodic rock/hair metal done to perfection...powerful vocals and great guitar work... It's been hard for me to pick a "favorite" song off of it, but I think I have finally come to a decision. My favorite song off of it is, "I Don't Wanna Lie". I just love the vocal harmonies that open the song and the whole arrangement throughout. "Secret Romeo" would probably come in a CLOSE second for me... But I can honestly say that this is a very solid album from beginning to end. Not a bad song on it, IMO. Why this band never made it big is beyond me! So, now I turn the question to you...what's YOUR favorite song off of the Charlemagne album?
  12. Both of these bands sound really good! You can check out a couple songs from them on the Eonian Records Myspace page; www.myspace.com/eonianrecords I can't wait to get the CD's, I'm looking forward to it....
