  1. These came in the mail today; Lipstick Magazine - "Skin Deep" Ground Mower - "Ground Mower" Dame Fortune - "The Secret Art" Chris DeMarco - "Lost and Found"
  2. Loudness...what can I say, great band. Akira Takasaki is one of the most talented and underrated guitarists to come out of that era if you ask me! I would have to say that my favorite album from them would be, "Thunder in the East" (a must-have album for any fan of 80's melodic metal)...Coming in second would probably be "Hurricane Eyes".
  3. Tim "Ripper" Owens & Yngwie Malmsteen - "Mr. Crowley"
  4. I recently had the the pleasure of talking with drummer Daren Short & guitarist, David Short of Rok Hollywood. Rok Hollywood is an up and coming glam band from Indiana that is really flying the flag for this music! They have opened for many of the biggest 80's rock/hair metal bands and released an EP back in 2007. You can check out some of their songs on their official Myspace page; www.myspace.com/rokhollywood Check out the interview below; http://hairbangersradio.ning.com/profiles/...ion-interview-8
  5. I recently had the honor of talking with Pamela Moore. You might know her from her role as "Sister Mary" with the band Queensryche! She agreed to an interview.... and I just have to say right now that I really appreciate her doing this, it's a real pleasure and an honor. In this interview, she talks about everything from how she got started in music, what it's like working and performing with Queensryche, her other projects and so much more! 9. Yeah I know what you mean, I would really like to see them too. To bad they aren't going to be there... But I saw Firehouse back on April 10th, and they put on one of the BEST performances that I've seen...they still sound great live.

  11. Press Release / Sioux Falls, S.D. (May 28, 2009) — Last year, multi-platinum Hard Rock band Firehouse was a crowd favorite and one of the biggest draws at Dakota Rock Fest. And they are back this year, joining Bret Michaels of Poison and Rock of Love fame to close out the festival. Due to unforeseeable circumstances with White Lion, who unfortunately backed out of Dakota Rock Fest, one final slot was open, and Firehouse was the first band promoter Kevin Leisinger thought of to replace White Lion, considering their incredible showing last year. "Dakota Rock Fest was one of the best gigs of 2008 for FireHouse", said guitarist Bill Leverty. "It is such a great place for a rock show. I can't wait to come back and play this festival again. The organizers are all first rate and really know how to throw a party. This should be another great time!" Returning from last year to Dakota Rock Fest are Jukebox Zeroes, Escape (Journey tribute band), Appetite for Deception (GNR tribute band), Paisty Jenny, Bombay Black, Skid Row, and L.A. Guns. Coming to Dakota Rock Fest for the first time are Head East, April Wine, Draw the Line (Aerosmith tribute band), Tango Down, Far Cry, Talon, Enuff z'Nuff, Dokken, and the aforementioned Bret Michaels. Tickets for Dakota Rock Fest are still available. If you purchase in advance, tickets are $20 for Friday, $35 for Saturday, or $50 for both days. If you buy the day of the show, tickets are $25 for Friday, $40 for Saturday and $60 for both days. VIP tickets can be purchased for $150, which covers both days and all you can eat and drink at the VIP tent. Tickets can be purchased at the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds or at any Ticketmaster outlet. 14. I recently had the pleasure of talking with the legendary Mandy Lion of WWIII (World War 3)! Mandy is one of the "darker" figures of metal, who has worked with some of the best and most well known musicians of the genre... such as; Danny Stag & Johnny B. Frank who went on to Kingdom Come, bassist Jimmy Bain (Dio/Rainbow), drummer Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath), Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne/Badlands), George Lynch (Lynch Mob/ex-Dokken) and many others! With his band WWIII, Mandy broke attendance records on the L.A. Strip and eventually landed a record deal. So, without further delay...you can check out the EXCLUSIVE Hair Metal Mansion interview with Mandy Lion below; http://hairbangersradio.ning.com/profiles/...ion-interview-6
