  1. That's Dan Huff and Richie Zito on guitars on this track (according to the booklet).
  2. Thanks Steve. If you're sayin' it is very good melodic HR I'll take it (after all I can always sell it). I just couldn't find anything about it online.
  3. Released in 1992. Tracklisting: 1) The Natives Are Restless 2) Cant Be Tamed 3) Love The One Youre With 4) Hate And Soul 5) Always Be Mine 6) Foolish Pride 7) Liars In Love 8) TV Babies 9) Grandmas Boogie Shoes 10) Gone But Not Forgotten What's their style ? What it's value ? Is it any good ?
  4. She can always sing "I was so sad when you walked away ...."
  5. Here's Terry in the studio recording "Face The Nigh" with Mike Slamer. At this point it sounds a bit like Strangeways.
  6. Chris Eaton - Vision. This one is of the finest classic westcoast/AOR album with a truly great musicianship (same when it comes to Michael Thompson Band). But you probably know them. From the lesser known section I can recommend the Broken Wings - st album. I've had the 9th Street - the prayer album but I didn't like it.It was a litte too new wavish for me. But the best album from the ones you may not know would be the Russell "Wall Of Love" CD. Fantastic AOR from Holland, very similar to some scandi bands like Fingerprints and maybe Fahrenheit (Austria).
  7. It does exists but sadly it is very rare. Released on CLOUD records back in the early 90s.
  8. Still a bit strange. It's such an important reissue for all AOR fans and no news on their websites.
  9. Does anyone have the original copy of it ? I want to but it, but I'm interested only in the official release only, so can somebody tell me what label was it released by? HH database says that it was released in 1988, but I've read that it has been officialy released on CD in 1992 or something like that. I was also wondering what's the value of this discs, since the database is not up-to-date. Is it as good as their debut ?
  10. As good as the other two releases? not at all imho, but a great release never the less in it's ownway. I'd say that this album has a more straight-ahead hard rock/sleazy sound than their previous two albums. They have released a video clip to a song from this album. You can watch it on youtube
  11. David Steele is a fantastic vocalist ! I wish we could hear more from him (several songs here and there and the Double Dealer album is not enough).
  12. This one looks horrible This one looks like it was made in 2 minutes Maybe someone will tell me what is this ? Alien ? I don't know what's that, it's probably not blood, but it looks like blood You wouldn't guess it's AOR No comment needed I know it works with the "Don't wait up" CD title, but still I think it didn't help them gain success
  13. Completely agree with that comment plus Terry Brock is a totally quality vocalist, so hopefully this will be a goodie. Absolutely, but I still think they shouldn't use the name GIANT. DIfferent vocalist, different keyboardist, different style (judging by the samples).
  14. I can stretch my imagination and think of a lot of bands without their singers, but GIANT ?? HELL no !
  15. IMO there's a difference between Hi-Tech AOR and Westcoast/Hi-tech AOR (musicianship here is often more developed). If you hear a lot of keyboards, and the production is crystal-clear (Richie Zito, Michael Omartian) and you have a feeling that the song would fit into a movie (back in the 80s) that's probably Hi-Tech AOR. My favourite hi-tech AOR albums: Robert Tepper - No easy way out Starship - love among the cannibals BLVD - st My favourite westcoast/hi-tech AOR albums: Tim Feehan -st / Pray for rain/ Full Contact Keven Jordan - No sign of rain Michael Thompson Band - st Clif Magness - solo WOA - artwork
  16. Robert Tepper - No easy way out. I've been hooked ever since I saw ROCKY IV
  17. Taken from the album "WET". Featuring Jeff Scott Soto (Talisman), Robert Sall (Work Of Art) and Erik Martensson (Eclipse). W.E.T. - One Love
  18. You may also wanna grab the Burglar soundtrack, where they (Robert Hart & DISTANCE) performed 2 really good songs. Great music ! You may hear one of them here:
  19. Surprisely Joe Lamont LP has never been reissued on CD. Great news, really.
  20. Good to know that they are taking care of westcoast/AOR as well (the West of sunset album is really a great example of Swedish westcoast/lite aor ) Can't wait for them all. Those guys know what they're doing.
  21. Those Clif Magness bonus tracks are great. Snippets can be heard here "Running forever" seems to be another killer song from mr Magness.
  22. I'd comapre Dear Enemy to The cars . I heard a few tracks and they sound like a synth pop/new wave band with AOR overtones here and there. Two songs: HERE A video and a sample track: HERE
