Yeah, I think “Stand in the Fire” is as far back as I’ll go. 👍

Well done 👍

Picked up “Ultrapower”, “Play to Win”, and the self titled discs directly from the band’s website, and have been listening to them on and off over the last week or so. LOVE “Ultrapower”, and “Play to Win”, but haven’t really warmed up to the self titled. Got “Stand in the Fire” on its way too. Overall, really enjoying their recent output.

One of many reasons “Lighting Up the Sky” was in my top 5 for 2023. 👍

“We’ve Lost the Fight” As with the majority of Mr Reece’s output over the last decade or so, this gets a solid “meh” from me. 😐

Both songs are fine, but due to the different vocalists, and the change up from melodic hard rock to straight AOR, it almost sounds like two different bands. I’ll keep ‘em on my radar, but slightly less enthused now…

We spent some time in here after getting married in Canada...

Even though loud music had resulted in extreme hearing loss, he wouldn’t change his spots.

Just added these guys over on the main site, and had never heard of them til today. They've been labeled as southern rock, but they'd also appeal to fans of AC/DC, Jackyl, and the like. Sons of Liberty discography reference list of music CDs. Heavy Harmonies Sons of Liberty - Video (sonsoflibertyband.com) Several really good tunes from these guys across their releases; the first couple here are my faves..

Ace Frehley - 10,000 volts ... new song.
whiplash1972 replied to Captain Howdy's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
Easily his best work since 89's "Trouble Walkin'". Working with Steve Brown definitely helped make the songs more melodic and memorable. Definitely better than I was expecting. -
New vid for “Tell Me What You Want” dropped this morning…

Accept - Humanoid (New album releases April 26, 2024)
whiplash1972 replied to whiplash1972's topic in Heavy Metal
Video is out: ACCEPT on “Humanoid”: “The song plays with the omnipresent topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In a strange way, we have entered exciting times now... This Digital Revolution has a huge impact, probably bigger than anything humankind has ever gone through. The Industrial Revolution was huge, but this might be even bigger, and we're just at the beginning of it. However, I'm also a little afraid that humanity gets lost and pushed aside in all this stuff. The song is pretty impactful and provoking!” ————— Song is just “ok” for me; I’m hoping there’s much better on the album, and they’ve just released this one first since it’s the title track. -
