  1. I let a friend borrow the best of white lion on cassette back like 20 years ago and never got it back so I've not lent anything out since.
  2. I wasn't to sure about this disc on first few spins but man now I love it. I know it sounds a lot heavier than the previous 3 and I loved those two and they probably should have changed their name but damn there are some good heavy songs and the melodies really grab you after you get into that 5-10 spin range, well at least it did for me but I doubt it will for everyone.
  3. I've been playing this a lot lately and while I prefer Angel Down and Kicking and Screaming overall there are at least 6-7 songs here I do like a lot and it is a grower type album and I love Bas' voice so I usually will buy about everything he puts out. I would have preferred he keep the Angel Down lineup but I know it's hard these days to keep bands much less solo lineups together. I often to wonder if he'd go to some of these newer bands(I doubt he's even aware of many of them) like Crashdiet and Crazy Lixx and co-write some songs with them. Now that would be interesting what they could come up with.
  4. True. But since when do we trust the word of those bleeding Aussies? If you want to hear facts, then always. Sadly for you, though, the hatred for 'Rat Race' is not limited to any one nationality. People with good taste in music from all over the globe will, and have expressed their dislike for that song. Because it's throw-away crap. IM(and most other people's)O, of course. Bahahahaha.By globally I guess you mean 15 people on this forum lol. Head over to wingers facebook page and check out the vid there and youll find around 150 comments underneath expressing love for the song. Also havent (yet) read one negative comment on the song in the many official reviews online. But, who, apart from Geoffrey, on this site hates the song? I know some didn't think it was amazing - can't recall who, though - but did someone else say it was shit? I like it and most of the rest of the album. It's doing well on the charts by today's standards as well. I like it to a lot.Okay not quite as good as Karma but I think the sound is great and outside Be who you are now and the title track I really love every song including the bonus track.
  5. I'm not going to argue that the last CL and CD aren't as good as the release that preceded them but both were huge growers for me and I still play them both regularly so I guess their much better then I first thought.
  6. Tearing Down the Walls is my favorite HEAT album. I have them all and I understand some love the first two more AOR albums but I prefer the more rocking last two and the new one is a touch heavier which is how I like my melodic(hard) rock. I've had trouble taking this one out of my stereo as of late and i expect it will place very high on my list at year end as it's #1 right now.
  7. As I've said on the Mafia page on facebook I'd love to see one of these Sykes or Vandenberg things happen but I don't see it happening especially Sykes. As for DA he would only leave Snake if he had a bigger band or project or maybe job(producer) to go to so while I'd be first in line for a Lion(I'd prefer BMR)I don't see that being the point of him leaving Snake. I could see him spending more time with Burning Rain but again he doesn't make any real money from any of these other bands so he has to have something bigger lined up or he is just an idiot which I don't think he is.
  8. It all comes down to your own opinion as to what you find or don't find to be perfect and as Howdy said what you consider perfect. I'm not sure if anything is perfect but if I'm going to listen to an album over and over year after year then that's good enough for me. While some don't find Tyketto 'Don't Come Easy' or Vain 'No Respect' to be perfect and others say they both have some fillers I love both albums dearly and will play both for many years to come as i have since they first came out but are they perfect? I have no idea but I love them both and that's enough for me. Iron Maiden's 'Beast' album might have a song or two that's not as good as some of the others but it's a classic to my ears and again even though it's not perfect(whatever that means) it will be played for many years to come just as Sabbath's 'Heaven and Hell' and Dio's 'Holy Diver' will. The word filler gets thrown around a lot but again that's all down to personal opinion where I might call something a filler and someone else might say that's their favorite song on that album. Sorry for the nonsense post......
  9. I don't have enough yard for a riding mower so push mower for me but it only takes about an hour or so to mow and weed eat. Its a nice to time to listen to the ipod but I live in a neighborhood that is full of people that live to make their yard to look perfect and I hate the weeding and planting and spending all of my weekends doing that crap.
