I had thought the same thing when I watched the movie...would only make sense if they got really lost and ended up out over the Atlantic somehow with the direction they passed it on...now if they showed them coming from the south with the Statue in sight it would have been more believable

I don't get out to see more than a few movies each year, but the worst movie I think that I have ever seen was Time Bandits. Had a nice concept but I thought it was absolutely terrible.
