Finally found another one on my want list. I got rid of my V.C.R. Copy, thinking it was easy to replace. Always putting it on the back burner and never thinking it would go out of print.

I almost ordered it from Suncoast video for double the price I bought for today.

The Kids Are Alright

Probably could have gotten it cheaper from Amazon, but I gotta watch packages coming through the door.

Thriftstore pickup for two bucks:

"HIGH OCTANE" - a 2-DVD collection of 10 low budget/no budget action movies with titles like "Treasure Raiders," "Fast Track," "Recon 2020" and "Universal Squadrons."

As Homer Simpson would say, "Sounds like goooooood watchin'." :homer:

Rummage sale DVD scores for a buck apiece:

Night of the Living Dead (1990 remake directed by Tom Savini)

The Boondock Saints

Southern Comfort

Visitors (Aussie horror flick w/Radha Mitchell of "Pitch Black")

...I've been slackin' on the movie watching lately so the DVDs are really piling up; I really need to get back into the groove before the stack on my nighstand falls over and crushes me while I sleep!!! :D

Not this week but recently... Tough Guys with Burt Lancastor & Kirk Douglas. They only put it on DVD in Europe for some reason. I had to change the region code on an old DVD drive for my HTPC so I can watch it lol. Love that movie :)

Bargain bin score at Dollar General:

The Delta Force (blu-ray) for 2.95

Thrift store scores for a buck:

Friday the 13th: 4 Film Collection (the first four F13 movies, each on a separate disc, including the "uncut, unrated" version of the original, which I don't believe I've ever seen. Unfortunately, it's missing the 3-D glasses that were included for "Part 3" but for the price I paid I'm not gonna complain too much.)

Hudson Hawk (never seen this legendary turkey but for a dollar, what the hell.)

Keeping Up Appearances (Collector's Edition)

Got this for Christmas. It was actually at the top of my list. I'm so glad to finally have a proper copy of the whole series, instead of streaming through sketchy sites on the internets, clicking through pop-ups, and only getting poor resolution. This show kills me.

    • Shark Island in the studio. Seems it may well come out this year. Super excited about that.
    • Church rummage sale pickup:
Gryn - Capital Punishment (1995) - a self released disc by a Kansas-based groove/thrash metal band. Given the time period, it sounds pretty much like I expected - local yokels copping the Pantera/C.O.C./Sepultura/Prong vibe. For 50 cents, I'm not gonna complain too much
    • Excellent song!!! Wish there was a little bit of guitar solo/riff at the end of the song. Just an opinion.  One of the best tunes I have heard this year.
