Love Stallion - Unforgettable Ride

Admirable effort, but all in all I found it very forgettable. Quite "thin" in overall sound too. On the plus side, from time to time it actually reminded me of Cry Wolf... which isn't a bad comparison. I think it was mostly the vocals every now and then reminded me of that chap.

Yeah, very generic and sounds like it was recorded on somebody's portable tape recorder.

LOVE STALLION – Hot To Trot (2021)

NOVEMBER 15, 2021

LOVE STALLION - Hot To Trot (2021) full

LOVE STALLION is an original Denver-based glam rock band bringing back the glory of Hollywood’s Sunset Strip rock & roll of the ’80s. The band are releasing their new album titled ”Hot To Trot” including 10-tracks of original material, of course driven by riffs and choruses like if it was 1987 out there.

While band members also wear spandex & leather and at their shows they use vintage pyrotechnics, LOVE STALLION isn’t a parody act – the have an acid sense of humor, yes – but take seriously their music, which, by the way, is very well written and produced.

After releasing their 1st studio LP “Unforgettable Ride” on June 2nd, 2018, produced by Emmy Award Winner and Certified Gold Record producer, Steve Avedis, Love Stallion went on to play with fellow glam rockers Steel Panther at The Fillmore Auditorium Denver in January 2019.

After a string of shows promoting their album, they performed at the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in July 2019. Following, they played at the famous Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles, and played their covid comeback show at Levitt Pavilion in June 2021 as direct support for Steel Panther.

We liked a lot LOVE STALLION’s debut album, and on ”Hot To Trot” the scorching hooks are even augmented plenty of melodic, harmonic laden choruses of anthemic arena rock proportions.

The LP is a textbook example of what a radio friendly, proficiently crafted “Big Rock Radio” record should be, a tackle box full of hooks, enough toe tapping fretwork, bass lines that lead the song and compliment as well and a solid drum with plenty of fills and the obligatory cowbell and cross sticking to further set the mood and meter of the songs.

LOVE STALLION are great doing this glam metal / 80s melodic US hard stuff. ”Hot To Trot” is a fun, feel-good rocking record from start to finish.

Highly Recommended
