June 25, 2018

On the 30th Anniversary of their platinum album, Blow My Fuse, Maryland hard rock icons, KIX will release Fuse 30 Reblown – 30th Anniversary Special Edition two-disc set on September 21, 2018, exclusively on PledgeMusic, exactly 30 years after Blow My Fuse’s original September 19, 1988 release date.  Fuse 30 Reblown is available for pre-order now through the band’s PledgeMusic store, where fans can also purchase special commemorative merchandise including signed copies of the album, t-shirts, pins, and beach towels.

Fuse 30 Reblown Disc #1 features a raw and impactful remix by Beau Hill (Alice Cooper, Ratt, Warrant, KIX) of KIX’s Atlantic Records album Blow My Fuse, and a top-notch mastering job by Jay Frigoletto (Alice in Chains, Tesla). Never-before-released demos of all 10 tracks, recorded in the early to mid 1980’s, are on Disc #2 and prove how well-prepared KIX were prior to entering the studio to record their albums.

The album Blow My Fuse features the group’s biggest hit, the power ballad, “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” which reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1989. The album achieved platinum sales and peaked at #46 on the Billboard Top 200, making it the band’s most successful of their 35-year career.

“We are proud to be celebrating the 30-year anniversary of the biggest album of our lives,” says singer Steve Whiteman.  “We went from clubs to arenas, a van to a tour bus, and from the U.S. to Japan and Europe. And 30 years later, our fans are still right here with us.”

KIX - Mike Morgan

KIX gracefully eased back into the public consciousness in 2008.  After sold out hometown gigs, the quintet hit the stage at Rocklahoma in front of over 20,000 people, venturing out of the Mid-Atlantic for the first time in 13 years.  Delivering a triumphant set alongside Sammy Hagar and Alice Cooper, they left their mark on old and new fans alike.  After capturing their fiery reunion on 2012’s Live in Baltimore CD & DVD, the members agreed to enter the studio once again.

In 2014, KIX released their seventh full-length album, Rock Your Face Off (Loud & Proud Records) their first studio effort since 1995’s Show Business. The album debuted at #1 on Amazon’s “Hard Rock and Metal “chart, in the Top 50 on Billboard’s “Top 200 Albums” chart, #5 on the “Independent Albums “chart, #11 on the “Top Internet “chart, #17 on the “Top Rock Albums” chart, #27 on the “Indy/Small Chain Core Stores” chart and #33 on the “Physical” chart.

KIX last released CAN’T STOP THE SHOW: THE RETURN OF KIX on October 21, 2016, a two-disc DVD/CD set that entered the Billboard Top Music Video Sales chart at #3, and rose to the #1 position, the band’s highest charting debut and first #1 ever in their 35-year history.  The 71-minute film offered an in-depth look into KIX’s decision to record their first new album, 2014’s Rock Your Face Off, in almost 20 years.

My favorite album from these guys.  Too bad they aren't including a few unreleased songs from those sessions.   But still seems like a really nice reissue with the demo tracks.   I just hope the remastering is done well.

Great album and one that I've been thinking about picking up for awhile as I never got the CD.....Still have the cassette though :)

Have seen this re-issue is going to be a digipak though and no way I'm paying $35 for a digipak.

Might have to look into the Rock Candy version.

I wouldn't pay $35 for digipack, jewel case or wrapped in fucking gold.

Ridiculous price.

Kix has a bunch of unreleased songs, they should put out those demos instead of songs we know already.

Yea I get it, its an Anniversary cd.

But still maybe include something new for us.

If they had a cd of unreleased songs it would be worth considering but demos of songs I already have?....nope....

    • Nice! Never got the debut so will pick that up for sure.   Might grab the other two also for the bonus stuff.
    • As mentioned before 'Loud Minority' gets the reissue treatment and so does their 2 follow-ups as well. From Frontiers: • CRAZY LIXX TO RE-ISSUE 2007 DEBUT ALBUM, "LOUD MINORITY" PLUS "NEW RELIGION" AND "RIOT AVENUE", EACH FEATURING BONUS TRACKS

Swedish hard rock outfit Crazy Lixx will reissue their long out-of-print 2007 debut album, "Loud Minority" via Frontiers Music srl on October 12, 2018. In addition to the original 11 tracks found on the album, the reissue will also feature seven bonus tracks, including Japanese bonus tracks and early demo versions of track. Along with the reissue of "Loud Minority", reissues of the follow-up albums "New Religion" (2010) and "Riot Avenue" (2012) will also be available on October 12th, each with added bonus material on both as well.

All three albums will be available on CD, Digital, and, for the first time, LP. The vinyl versions will all be special, limited edition color versions. See below for details and tracklisting.

Crazy Lixx vocalist and original member, Danny Rexon on the reissue of LOUD MINORITY: "The original pressing of 5000 albums was the only one ever made. We were on a small independent label at the time and even though the album was quite successful, peaking at #2 on the Swedish Rock charts, there was never any second pressing. The label ceased to be and we managed to buy out the rights for the album which we've now handed over to Frontiers. We're very pleased to be able to re-release this album a decade after it was originally out and after being unavailable for so long. Of all the requests we get from fans, this album has to be one of the most asked for."

"When we started out in the early 2000's I never thought vinyl would ever be a thing again, but since it has risen in popularity it's become something of a bucket-list thing to get our debut album (and the other ones of course) out on vinyl, so naturally we're very happy to be able to reissue these on vinyl," Rexon concludes.

    • I'm enjoying this album. It's solid stuff.
    • Song now on YouTube minus the video:
    • Ted says over on his site that this is not a solo cd but more of a collaboration cd,his new solo cd will be released on Frontiers in 2019  that being said I don't mind the different sound/style for what its worth.
