Whitecross and Guardian team together

Recommended Posts

1/2 Whitecross , 1/2 Guardian. I was pretty excited about this until I realized they are recording old material.

What? Such a waste.

Who's going to pay $25,000 to see them play?

Preach on, christian friends. May there be twice the word of Jesus. Twice the overwhelming intelligence of christianity.

Seriously, though, I'd be half interested to hear some of the better Whitecross tunes done with Jaime Rowe on vocals. The Guardian stuff would be useless as it'd just sound like the original more or less.

Anyway, in all honesty, to me this is just more or less Guardian, with two ex members of Whitecross now in the band. I guess that's the power the lead vocalist yields.

I think an album of original material by these guys would be great. Rowe can still bring it on vocals.

I haven't heard a Guardian album since First Watch and I have never heard enough Whitecross to have an opinion on them one way or the other, sooo.... *Zzzzzzzzz....*

Whoever they are, it seems pretty lame to expect fans to foot the bill if they're not even gonna come up with new stuff...

Totally agree. I would be more interested in some new materials rather than doing their old songs. Though it would be interesting to hear Rex Carroll doing the guitar solos on some Guardian songs, I just wish they won't re-do old Whitecross songs as they are soooo preachy. And I consider myself a christian.

You're missing out Keith. I think you'd really dig Guardian's Fire and Love. Whitecrosses 1st 4 albums are really good as well, if not a bit derivative.
