BULLETBOYLESS
3/4 of the original BulletBoys (sans the singer) launch new group Lies, Deceit & Treachery

Los Angeles — Hard as a rock and ready to rock. Lies, Deceit & Treachery are on the books with a debut gig in the city of sin and it’s just around the corner. The Los Angeles based band is made up of 3 original and former (founding) BulletBoys members Mick Sweda (guitar), Lonnie Vencent (bass) and Jimmy D’Anda (drums). The guys have recruited Shane Tassart as their singer.

Ironic or not, but the bands name was quoted by BulletBoys singer Marq Torien exactly 1 year ago this week. Back on December 18th 2013 Torien took to social networks and stated: “The music business is Bullshit! Nothing changes, just the same ol F#9! Lies, deceit and treachery.” The singer continued with; “I love to be lied to. Especially from the ones you trust the most!”

Back to LDT, according to some recent updates via the band’s official facebook - they are killing it in rehearsals. The band uploaded snippets from studio that include “Hard As A Rock” and “Hell On My Heels.”

Sweda and Vencent along with Torien were part of the King Kobra revolving door back in the late 80’s. But that group eventually ran it’s course and the 3 started the BulletBoys brand with D’Anda on drums. They played a handful of Hollywood local shows and soon enough were snatched up by Warner Brothers Records. What followed was some solid success with 3 albums and scoring a big hit with “Smooth Up.” Torien has continued to tour with Bulletboys.

Lies, Deceit & Treachery is set to play Las Vegas at “Vamp’d” in early January 2015. See flyer below.

This isn't Marq though but the guy sounds like him from 1988. Very interested in this one!

First impression: Bad name choice, too long/complicated.

The only thing more useless than a 3/4 reunion of the original Bulletboys...

...would be a full reunion of the original Bulletboys.

If anything you got to think these names out. I mean "Lies, Deceit, Treachery" isn't even a good acronym, LDT.

I mean c'mon! If you just swapped the Deceit and Treachery:

Lies, Treachery and Deceit or LTD.

Boom infinitely better.

Just like that damned Pink Velvet Krush band. Guys spell Krush with a "C" and you can acronym yourself "PVC".

You got to always be thinking of marketing and T-Shirt sales kids OK, its music 101.

I know you hate them but I still love the first three albums and half of Acid Monkey. The rest is bad and Marq certainly is a wank either way. But the music, I like :)

A lot of people don't like ZaZa but I thought it was killer. The opening track is a ball buster!

The debut and 'Zaza' are great, imo. Especially the debut.

I think I've never heard anything past Zaza. A few tracks from Sophie that I heard were horrible.

It's humourous that those first few yelps sound exactly like Marq, then when the singing starts the voice is totally different. I can only take that as an intentional slap to Marq.

    • I hate song titles like that.

    • rocks still rolling sounds like it will be shite but there's still room for 10 other gems
    • He's not on Ebay and I would've paid by credit card. The postage shows automatically as you ad items to the shopping cart on his website. When it hits number 13, it shows $50 in shipment to Europe. It was then I emailed him asking without cases. He has been in the business of selling CDs, DVDs and all sort of things since 1997 and here's the hilarous bit:  on his website it states "Our pricing and customer service is unmatched in the industry" Come again? Fuck me sideways with a banana...that's some amazing customer service. I'm impressed. If I was selling for profit, I'd go out of my way to please a customer. Maybe he's filthy rich or I'm just a small insignificant buyer, he clearly hasn't got time for me. Clearly my money's not good enough although I have bought from him before 3 or 4 times (few items at a time). I'd understand if he was worried about the CDs getting damaged or the like but that reply to my enquire was...unprofessional. And totally lazy.   In comparison: I made an offer for a package of 100 CDs on Ebay early 2018 (seller: a reissuing record label whose owner is known for his antics on this board ), he accepted it and shipped the 100 CDs without cases for 50 or 60 bucks (can't exactly remember). There you go. Which one would you prefer?
    • New St.Lucia album "Hyperion" coming September 21st
    • I'm sure he has a few cds around unpacked, he could just weigh one without the case and multiple the required amount and voila! He don't have to unpackage 13. But no can do.
    • Track listing for 'Second Coming': 1. My Fear & My Faith
      2. Because Of Us
      3. It Burns
      4. Walk Me Through The Fire
      5. New Life Begins
      6. The Final War
      7. Breathtaking
      8. Rock's Still Rolling
      9. Die Together
      10. The Best Thing I Never Had
      11. Outrun You
    • The seller can weigh the CD's, deduct the weight of jewel cases/trays and add the weight of the packing material. Should be easy, unless I'm overseeing something...
