ADAM BOMB

Recommended Posts

Damn, Adam...that's quite a story. But hey, like they say, what doesn't kill ya makes you stronger. :beerbang:

On a totally unrelated note, isn't there a pro wrestler using the name "Adam Bomb" now? Why don'cha sue his ass off?

Now?

Bryan Clarke retired about 7 years ago, and only used the Adam Bomb name from 93-95.

Well, that shows you how much I know about wrestling. I Googled "Adam Bomb" after this thread popped up, and I saw a Wiki page about the wrestler. So I was just idly curious.

He was a pretty cool wrestler. I looked up a few of his matches on Youtube. I used to love WWF back then.

I think Bryan Clark got some pretty bad injuries.

Maybe they could tour together? Adam Bomb on stage with Adam Bomb.

Actually that's something I wondered about, when checking out tour dates I always see loads of European ones yet very few dates in the U.S. (I know Dave LV KIX is dying to see the band), how come there's so few over in the States?

Adam is European based so more EU gigs. Spain I think. (But then again my ears might have been blown from the music the last time we chatted.)

Cool...I didn't realise that he was based in Europe now....I always pictured him touring Europe during Autumn/Winter/Spring and heading back to the States in the Summer to chill out...haha whaddoIknow??

You know... I didn't even know AB had a new album out (Crazy MotherF*cker)....being old school I preferred the CD over download and I managed to snag a copy on eBay (Coalition Label, which a lot of Adam's later stuff has been released on).

Serves me right for not getting to any of his gigs over the last couple of years......but getting it has made my Christmas pretty much complete....what has been a great Christmas just got that bit btter, and I'm going for a beer with one of my mates Tuesday!!! Yay!

I picked up a sealed copy of ADAM BOMB - "New York Times" if anyone is interested in a possible trade. I'd sell it if you are interested but don't have anything to swap. This one is probably my 2nd (maybe 3rd) favorite Adam Bomb release.

Been listening to 'Fatal Attraction' and it's not really my bag. 'I Want My Heavy Metal' is a good track with a fantastic guitar solo. In fact, one of the best solos I've heard for a long time (cue adding it to another thread...) The rest of it I can take or leave. Wouldn't put me off checking out more of AB's stuff though.

Just read this on sleazeroxx....

Solo artist and former TKO guitarist Adam Bomb has fallen on hard times. In late July the musician's wife, publicist Claire O'Connor, died from cancer, leaving the glam rocker a single parent. Now Adam Bomb is calling on his fans to help financially by buying his albums so that he won't lose his daughter to social services.

Said Adam Bomb in a recent statement, "OK, I could use your help. I am in deep shit.

Maybe you can help me out a bit. If enough of you bought a CD from us, I might not lose everything so quickly. Overnight I became a single parent. The lawyers are freezing all accounts and forcing me to go under so I will lose my daughter to social services. It's going to be very difficult for me to carry on my job touring without proving I can make a living to lawyers who are trying to take everything. I don't know if rock n roll can save me from this one. But I will see if any of you really are friends enough to try to and help pull me out of a dangerous situation for a few months until I can reorganize from this tragedy. Just buy a CD. Do it for Blaise.

YOU can now purchase online the whole Adam Bomb catalogue! A CD lasts forever, if you get tired you can always sell it or trade it, it costs only 20 bucks and WE pay for the shipping, not YOU!! Not to mention that you are gonna help your favorite band buying gas and gettin back on the road to play the bar next door!! what are you waiting for? Get a CD at (link did not work)

Haven't had any problems ordering from his site in the past. Usually takes 10 days or so to the UK.

Does anyone know how Adam is doing these days? I was chatting to an old friend and he reminded me of a gig he did in a small pub in my home town in i think 2004 that we ended up in randomly. It was a really good night and i remember the guitar playing was quite spectacular.

He seems to be constantly touring all over the place and playing anywhere that will have him. I think Nick has been to see him a couple of times at his local.

My story about Adam Bomb is almost identical to the story by Fat Freddy

In fact several friends of mine sent in the free coupon and we ALL got the Black and Blue single. I had never heard of Black and Blue at the time and I thought the songs were ok, but wondered what happened to Adam Bomb. My friends and I actually joked that Black and Blue must had some people on the inside putting their records in instead of the one we ordered. That really was one of the greatest mysteries of that era for us.

    • I posed him that exact question on his discord page as to what his future plans are.... He said he plans to relax for a bit, do his You Tube thing, keep writing new music and then will decide how to release that music.  He said as of now he's thinking he'll either do a solo thing or form his own band.  He didn't say this but I'd sort of envision a Daughtry type "band" where he kind of puts a band behind his name. So essentially, I think you're right on with his plans.  Ultimately, I think like you say, the control is a big part of it.  I think he wants to be able to operate on his own schedule to maintain his health and family obligations. It'll be interesting to see what sound the new material takes on.  It would seem logical to think it would be rock/melodic rock of some sort since that's really the type of music he's built his following with but he certainly has shown he can dabble anywhere from AOR to metal.
    • Glad I got to see them with Erik in front. All the best to him, definitely looking forward to his future outings when he is fully recovered. Would be cool to see him form his own band, where he could take control, and play around in different genres, from full on metal, to soothing AOR, the guy is so versatile.
    • Remedy - Crying Heart. One I've just seen thanks to the Iridium channel.  From the upcoming album. It's a Killer.
    • Let's not forget Benny Hill. What a Magnificent show that was.
    • Yeah... I dunno about that. It would be too cringe. Who knows? If I'm high enough, I might submit a video.
    • Yep great track and if you fancy being in the video for "The Feeling" nows your chance.
    • I'm proud to say that I had this single when I was a mere 8 years old. KISS were big down here then. Norman Gunston is Iconic for Aussies of my vintage.  The face ln the bottom left says it all. Hilarious.
    • All in all, this is a great story. Erik played a brilliant, well received, albeit short cameo with one of our favourite bands.  It was a win, win, win. A win for us, a win for Skid Row (the album certainly put them back on the map) and a win for Erik, adding this to his already impressive resume. The fact that it was so amicable with both parties is also great to see.
    • I really like this album - not every song on it but there are some surprisingly catchy melodies all over. Personally I think the singer adds great energy to the mix. It reminds me of the earlier Bai Bang ("closer to you")
