Well mate, due to everyone carrying on like a big girl (;)) I bought one off ebay this evening for au$10 (postage inc.). Better be good or you'll all get a knock on the door and when you open it you'll be greeted by my clenched fist. On an even more awesome note, picked up 2 copies of 'Man in motion' for us$5 each so if all goes well I'll have me a copy, plus one for my trade list. If... all goes well.

A. ENUFF Z' NUFF

1. I'll B The 1 2 Luv U

2. The world is a gutter

3. Baby loves you / I could never be without you (love both equally)

B. MOTLEY CRUE

1. The Animal in Me

2. Kickstart my heart

3. You're all I need

(impossible task. I honestly have about 10 Crue songs all on about the same level and choosing between them's a shot in the dark)

C. BOSTON

1. More than a feeling

(Do I even need to say I'm not into these guys at all?)

D. MEGADETH

Only heard their albums in passing and don't actually know any of their songs.

E. BONFIRE

1. Say goodbye

2. Look of love

3. Know right now / Tony's Roulette (pretty much dead equal)

(F*ck me. I'm happy with those three/four, but it seems CRIMINAL to leave out anything from 'Fireworks' or 'Take my heart and run')

Firehouse

1. All She Wrote

That is easily their best track

Backed. Love many songs from these guys, but none as much as this.

Nightranger

First of all, what is it with everyone's obsession with 'Dont Tell Me You Love Me'.......??

A good song, but hardly their best??

F*ck that, I don't even know what that song is or what album it's on... I'm more concerned about the complete lack of 'Forever all over again' from everyone's list (except that awesome "Geoff" guy). Stunning track.

It's on the awesome 'Dawn Patrol'. Don't say you've never heard it. :yikes:

Wowser, I just started to reply that I certainly have heard it but it must not have left much of an impression. I thought I owned all Night Ranger CDs except a hard copy of 'Man In Motion', which I still really, really want. But I just had a quick check up on 'Dawn Patrol' and what do you know, I don't own that one! Not sure how that escaped me. Will have to try and seek that one out...

You idiot...its their best album!

Nearly every song is a winner, except maybe the title track lol!

1982 tho mate, so might be a bit early for your tastes

Gotta agree there Glen, definitely right up there with the best Night Ranger stuff and very probably just tipping it for me as my favourite album of theirs overall. Top quality all the way. I remember the day that I first heard it on vinyl, 'Sing Me Away', 'Eddie's Comin' Out Tonight' 'Don't Tell Me...' 'Call My Name'. all brilliant tracks. Still one of the more rocking NR discs compared to some of the later stuff, and one that had just that little bit more balls to it for me.

Yeah and add to that the excellent duo of 'Play Rough' and 'Penny' - stellar stuff.

You really don't like 'Strength'? I know we all have different tastes, but I'm surprised as I liked the debut and 'Strength' blew me away. Incredible album imo. 'New Thing' and 'Fly High Michelle' were great tunes though.

It's not bad, but i'm not as major fan of this band mate to be honest.

Overall I prefer the debut as I thought 'Strength' was quite patchy, but the trio of 'The world is a gutter', 'In crowd' and 'Baby loves you' (which are all better than the majority of the debut) has assured that CD a permanent place in my CD collection.

Title track and 'Blue Island' are nice too, but nail on the head - those three are the really outstanding tracks. Awesome.

The lack of knowledge / respect for Bonfire in this thread is a huge concern to me. Do yourself a favour all you guys who don't have anything from the band, and urgently seek out a copy of 'Fireworks' from 1988, and 'Point Blank' from 1989. NO CD collection is complete without them.
