My copy arrived earlier this week; while I'm not usually a big fan of live CDs, this one is pretty damn good.

I know nothing about this new live cd. Geoff, you mentioned two new tracks. Are these live tracks or studio tracks? I'm much too lazy right now to go research it.

You can check out one of the new studio tracks on melodicrock's minibytes. Pretty cool stuff. Definitely got me psyched for a full new studio album. They haven't lost their touch at all.

Actually it rocks quite nicely on the Trixter side of the equation rather than Stereo Fallout. If the whole new album sounded like that one new track I just heard, I would be more than content. They've stuck to their roots a lot more than other bands who have tried coming back.

The ballad on the cd is pretty good (if you like ballads) but I wasn't that crazy about the rock song. I would pick up a new studio album in a second though!

This is pretty good for a live album.

The new songs aren't bad either especially the ballad.

Yeah, this is a great live disc. Man they sound awesome. Restores my faith in live albums a bit. Great song selection too, generally.

 

As for the new songs, I agree with the masses. The rock song is okay, but the ballad is great. Production is also a bit muddy on both songs and I'd want to hear better on a new album.
