reverend jennings
Had to go with Kix in the first section. I wore out that tape cruisin' around in my snazzy 78 Ford Fiesta. Britny Fox & Bulletboys were close behind. Second section I went with Ozzy. An all around great one - top to bottom. Tough Poll. Great year for metal. RichieZ
Pretty good year for Metal but my favorites weren't on the list. On the list I went with Yngwie Malmsteen - Odyssey (still his most complete and listenable album IMO) and Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
aXe mAn
1988 was another great year for rock! This is really hard, there are so many of them! But, here are my votes: - Britny Fox "s/t" -Queensryche "Operation Mindcrime"

sharatan
i voted the obvious here( no 'ryche of course) but hell if i could compile an 88 best list! very very difficult. especially from the moment that the majority of US releases slay( the bands i have in mind passed their "maiden" period and lead pure US metal steele to another dimmension...to the city in the sky)

Rafo Phoenix
Iron Maiden & Metallica "The Clairvoyant" style reminds me a lot to my favorite Play Station adventure game of all times "Castlevania - Symphony Of The Night" Classics!!! mosvalve
I tried to get people going on Crimson Glory way back then but didnt have any luck warming them up to it. "Strange and Beautiful was a LOT different from "Transcendance" but I liked it too.

My Little Pony KarpetRydOFunk Posted October 10, 2009 My Little Pony Report Share Posted October 10, 2009 I hate polls. I stress over the options, and I feel as though the entire metal universe rests on my choices. And the second I click 'Vote' want to change 'em. First part was painful, but I settled on In Heat Second part was a no brainer, Operation: Mindcrime
Faron
Queensryche - Operation Mindcime Iron Maiden - Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
JamesEagle
Two of my favourite albums, Transcendence by Crimson Glory is incredible, lots of classic tracks and The New Order by Testament is great too, includes 2 of the best thrash songs ever (the title track and 'Trial By Fire'). Happy days, great memories.
