  2. From Lions Pride Music: Odyssey Desperado is a melodic hard rock project started by Odysseas Karapolitis in 2014 in Athens, Greece. His dream was to share the music, the melodies and the ideas he had in his mind with other people. For achieving this goal he worked with the multi-talented producer Bob Katsionis (Outloud, Firewind ) at Sound Symmetry Studio, also recruited one of the best Greek voices in the genre Manos Fatsis on lead vocals, and the legendary Paul Laine (ex-Danger Danger) on backing vocals. Four years later, the result of this cooperation has brought in the surface the album "Don't Miss The Sunset, which he signed and will be released on 30 March 2018 by Lions Pride music. 3. From FB: Silked & Stained were born on April of 2009 by Tony Silked (Antonis Gavalas) and Johnny Boston (Giannis Mpastounis) from the love they shared for Melodic Hard Rock. They started performing their first gigs at An Club and then to other known musical venues in Greece such as Bat City, Jasmine, Lazy while they also started working on ideas for their own staff. After several lineup changes, in the summer of 2010 James Sarantides (Dimitris Sarandidis) took place behind the keyboards and a couple of years later, Orpheus Lazz (Orpheus Lazarou) joined the family as the drummer keeping the band in pace with George Rachiotis (George Rachiotis) taking the position of the bass player. In 2014 the last change of the lineup took place with Alexis Pantazis taking over the difficult role of the frontman following the departure of Johnny Boston. The genre of the band is Melodic Hard Rock with influences from great bands of the 80's such as Bon Jovi, Guns 'n' Roses , Poison, FM, Ratt, Skid Row , etc. In 2011 they released their first demo single called Lonely Road and on April 2014 the new single titled Much Love for the Pure Rock 7 collection of Atlantis Records and Atlantis FM 105,2. The band aims to released its first album in 2014. 'Much Love' and 'Lonely Road': http://www.reverbnation.com/silkedandstained/songs
  4. Press release from Lions Pride Music: Lions Pride Music is happy to announce the signing of Norwigan melodic rockers Hush, for their brand new up and coming 4th album, Department Of Faith, which will be released on December the 12th. HUSH made a stir within the melodic rock community with the release of the debut "If You Smile" back in 1998. The album sold well in Europe (AOR Heaven) and Japan (JVC/Victor) and was filled with catchy arena rock anthems. The sophomore cd, simply entitled "II", emerged in 2001 on Now & Then (UK) and the Italian label Frontiers Records. It was a natural step further for Hush, yet without moving away from the style from the debut. Both records were very well received all over the world. The third release, 'Mirage' (2006) (Raido Music)won over new fans with a different and more modern approach. Hush is currently putting the final touch to their brand new studio album entitled, Department Of Faith, which have already spin of 2 singles so far, Black Ice, & Hold On. The band is also planning to hit the road for touring in support of the new album and once again reconnect with their fans worldwide. The Hush band members now includes founding members Kenneth Kristiansen (guitars/keyboards), Patrick Simonsen (vocals/guitars), Knut Dalbakk(bass), Thorleif Østmoe (keyboards/vocals) and Antonio Torner (drums/vocals).

  7. From glorydazemusic.com: Background We introduce a new Brazilian band in 2016 called Adellaide. They've just released a three track EP which sounds pretty good to these ears. From Sao Paulo, Adellaide have all the ingredients which makes for a great AOR band, without sounding like the cookie-cutter releases coming out of Europe these days. Adellaide are full on with pompous keyboards and razor sharp guitar work, just the way many of the GDM regulars like it! The Songs Just the three songs here, opening with the glorious 'Save Your Love', this band have got it on a string. Daniel Vargas has a voice tailor made for our favourite sub-genre of rock, and everything just clicks into place. 'Heroes' is slightly more restrained at the start, though you can tell this song could take off at any minute (like the warplane on the album cover), and it surely does. Another terrific dose of melodic hard rock/AOR. The third track 'Edge Of Feelings' has all the makings of a power ballad. Leading with some intricate piano work, the song comes alive soon after, the urgent rhythm section delivering the power of a turbo engine which allows guitarist Ale Nammur to fly over the top with the precision of a guided missile. In Summary This short EP has got me wanting more from this great new band. According to the band's FB page, a full length CD is in the works and is scheduled for a 2017 release courtesy of Lions Pride Music. Joining the band recently is new keyboardist Leandro Freitas, who was previously with Horyzon, another Brazilian band on the Lions Pride roster. The new Adellaide album should be on everyone's 2017 watch-list. In the meantime, track this EP down and take a trip to Adellaide! Adellaide: Daniel Vargas (vocals and Keyboards) Ale Nammur (guitars) Alek Ribet (bass) Claudio Nammur (drums) FB
  8. Press release: Wild Souls info: Founded back in July 2010, by the guitarist Kostis Tsiligiris, Wild Souls formed their basic member line-up a year later with George Nikolaou as a leading vocalist and followed by Dimitris Mazarakis on the keyboards. With Tasos Karapapazoglou (Bass) and Nikos Tsiligoudis (Drums) they recorded and released their first single entitled “Broken heart”, in September 2011. The success of the song was followed by several gigs around the country, while the band was tirelessly working towards the completion of their first full-length album. Their passion for the ‘80s hard rock scene and their music performance was proved before a live audience as they supported onstage in October 2012 the band Steam Roller, founded and led by guitarist Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio, Burning Rain). This gig led to a great collaboration between Doug Aldrich and Wild Souls, as the first flew to the city of Kavala, Greece, in order to compose and record the guitar solo for one of the band’s songs, entitled “On the Road”. Their first album was named after this song, and it was released in 2013 from Final Touch Records (distributed in stores by Cobalt). Metal Hammer & Heavy Metal magazine recommended it as “the band is a fresh suggestion with memorable songs, a right attitude, cheerful mood and flawless playing” (Dec. 2013). On March 2014 Wild Souls began working on their second studio album with even more inspiration, while gigging around the country sharpening their craft. Unfortunately during the recordings the band’s keyboarder Dimitris Mazarakis decided to retire from the band and Wild Souls had a minor setback. This did not last for long however, as Wild Souls continued with an even stronger will and passion to compose and record their next album. Months later, on December 2015 the band welcomed a new member. Nikos Karagiannis, a talented guitarist, found his place amongst the band and with his addition Wild Souls were now stronger than ever. With their new member, the band shot their first Video Clip for a new song that will be included in the second studio album. Soon after, and by the mark of the new year, the recordings where finally complete and the band’s second studio album emerged with very promising songs and masterful compositions. Wild Souls are now releasing their brand new album "Game Of Love" on October 31st via Lions Pride Music that is sure to leave it's mark while planning their upcoming tour! Wild Souls: George Nikolaou - Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals Kostis Tsiligiris - Guitars Nikos Tsiligoudis - Drums Tasos Karapapazoglou - Bass, Backing Vocals Guest Musicians: Manos Skaramagkas - Keyboards http://wildsoulsband.wixsite.com/wildsouls FB
  9. Press release: Lions Pride Music is happy to announce the release date of Violet Janine's debut album, Between Red & Blue, for the 6 of June. Between Red & Blue see’s the debut release from Swedish melodic rockers Violet Janine. The band have only been around for a short while, but have quickly stired up some attention in their home country, and it wasn’t long after that, that the band had 9 tracks ready for recording. The 9 tracks being was a collaberation between Janine Nyman, Palle Hammarlund, Daniel Palmqvist, Basse Blyberg, Ian Brunnberg, with the adding of Tony Martin on the song So Much More and Emma Nors, Rob Nasty and Pontus Snibb on the song Down On My Knees. The band then entered Kingside Studio with producer Otto Wellton to record the first 8 tracks of the album and also where the video for, So Much More, were shot. Last song, Down On My Knees, was recorded at Capital Studios with Palle Hammarlund. The band also quick got in contact with bringing in outside guest vocalist to be featured onto the album in form of the tracks, So Much More, featuring legendary Black Sabbath vocalist Tony Martin who also wrote the track for the album and Pontus Snibb of Bonafide on the track, Down On My Knees. There’s been made two music videos for the tracks which can be seen in the youtube links further below. Lead Vocalist Janine Nyman brings to the recordings a powerful raw voice, like an unshaped diamond, ready to sparkle brighter than the sun with the first listenning of her voice. Sparkling along with her is also the eminent guitar playing by Daniel Palmqvist, which also have captured all this in the recording of the album. And with Basse Blyberg, Ian Brunnberg & Mano Lewys to round up the rest of the remaining band, the band is to embark into a bright future. For future references the band plans on touring in support of the debut album and along the way inspiring with new ideas, one of these are to introduce a fragrance which is significant with the name of the band and will be used when the band is on stage live, for the audience to enjoy. The band will join Smokin' Aces for a live gig at High Voltage in Copenhagen on the 26 of November, so be there. FB Tracks: 1. Heat On The Highway 2. Devil In Me 3. Tell Me 4. Everyday’s A Fight 5. 15. From FB: From The Fire is proud to announce that they have signed a pressing and distribution agreement with Lions Pride Music, headed up by Carsten Nielsen, in anticipation of the release of their next album, "OctOpus", due out in early fourth-quarter 2016. The album will continue the band's pop-oriented melodic rock tradition, with new members Jenn Quereau, Gannett Reis, and Kenny Kaufman appearing both on the disc, and in the band's live performances slated for later in the summer. "We're extremely proud to sign with Lions Pride", says lead singer/founding member J.D. Kelly. "The label is a respected outlet for a lot of very good bands, and we got along with Carsten immediately." Tommy Lafferty, lead guitarist and also a founding member of the group, agrees. "Carsten has the same energy and positive feelings we have for the band, and his vision for the album, our history, and our music, is one we all share." In addition to the newer release, Lions Pride will re-release FTF's sophomore effort, "Evil Men Do", a collection that marked the end of a twenty-year-plus recording and performing hiatus for the New York-based group when it was released to the crowds at the Nottingham (UK) "Firefest" in 2014. "Evil Men Do" was a great album, but it never got proper distribution, and that's our own fault", says Kelly, "because we thought we could do all the work ourselves. With Carsten and Lions Pride in our corner, we know that there's someone always working on our behalf, behind the scenes, to help us get the music to our fans." Nielsen and the band promise that there will be additional tracks, possibly including live recordings, as well as better packaging on the disc when arrives sometime in 2017. "We couldn't be happier", says Kelly, "and we wouldn't be in this amazing place in our musical adventure if it wasn't for a couple of guys - Steve Marder and Mark Levine - who first saw the band and gave us our very first break." Lafferty concurs: "Metropolis Records believed in us, all those years ago, and we'll always love those guys for it." The band hopes to have a single, perhaps two, out this summer as a lead-in to the album release. fromthefire.com
