  1. From blabbermouth.net: "Devil In Me", the first song from LAST IN LINE — the band featuring DEF LEPPARD guitarist Vivian Campbell alongside fellow founding DIO members Vinny Appice and Jimmy Bain, plus singer Andrew Freeman, who has previously fronted HURRICANE and LYNCH MOB — will make its online debut on Tuesday, November 17. The track is taken from LAST IN LINE's debut album, "Heavy Crown", which will be released on February 19, 2016 via Frontiers Music Srl. The CD was recorded at a Southern California studio with producer Jeff Pilson, a veteran bassist who has played with DIO, FOREIGNER, DOKKEN and T&N, among others. LAST IN LINE recently filmed music videos for the songs "Devil In Me" and "Starmaker" with director Jamie Brown of Smoking Gun, Inc. and co-producer Thomas McNeely. In other news, LAST IN LINE has parted ways with keyboardist Claude Schnell. Campbell explained in a statement: "When we started this project a few years ago, the initial idea was to reunite the original DIO band to play the songs we wrote and recorded with Ronnie in the early 1980s. Joined by Andrew Freeman on vocals and original DIO keyboard player Claude Schnell, we played a handful of shows from southern California to the U.K to Japan. It was a limited ambition, but one that brought us great joy in reconnecting to this great music, to each other, and to our collective history. "Our ambition at that time didn't extend to writing and recording any new music, but when we were offered the opportunity to do so by the Frontiers record label, we took that step forward. At that time, it was decided that we enter the studio to write this new album in the very same spirit as we did the 'Holy Diver' record: In autumn of 1982 Ronnie, Vinny, Jimmy and I went into Sound City studios to kick around ideas and riffs, and about six weeks later we started laying down the tracks for what was to become the 'Holy Diver' album. It was after 'Holy Diver' was written and recorded that we brought in Claude to embellish certain songs in a way that the guitar just couldn't do. From that time forward, Claude became an essential part of the band's live shows. "In retracing our footsteps, we again started to write this new album as a four-piece band — thus keeping the emphasis on guitar-driven songs. In the course of doing so, we have decided to continue on that path and remain a four-piece band. "We wish Claude every success and he remains a very close friend and confidant to all concerned." Asked if the LAST IN LINE material sounds like the classic DIO albums, Vivian told Eddie Trunk in a recent interview: "The majority of it… Well, actually, I wouldn't say the majority of it… I would say a good 50 percent of the songs would sound right at home on those first three DIO albums, and the others have a bit more of a modern edge to them. I mean, when you get Vinny and Jimmy and I playing, it sounds like the early DIO records, 'cause that's what it is. Obviously, Andy is a very, very different singer, he's got a very different instrument, and he writes lyrics very differently. I'm very, very impressed with where Andy has gone lyrically on the record, too; that's another thing. So it's great. It is so epic sounding. We've got some amazing songs on this, and I'm hyper excited about it, as you can probably tell."

  3. Press release: BREAKING NEWS: Frontiers Music srl is excited to announce the release of “Resurrection”, the new album from Operation: Mindcrime, the brainchild of legendary vocalist Geoff Tate. The album is set for a worldwide release on September 23, 2016. “Resurrection” is the second part of the musical trilogy from iconic metal vocalist Geoff Tate. Following one year after the release of the debut album in September 2015, Operation: Mindcrime continues in the spirit of the historic album of the same name, spawning concepts as grand as the music, and intertwining the intensity of the former Queensrÿche vocalist's iconic past with the provocative, progressive mindset that has made him one of music's most resolute forces and frontmen. “The album “Resurrection” is the second part of our three album presentation or trilogy. It continues the story that began on the first album “The Key” with the near death experience of the lead character known as “H” and his subsequent recovery of the missing encryption key. With the Key finally in his possession, “H” has everything he needs to finally launch his long awaited project called “The New Reality”. Or does he…,” explains Geoff Tate. Tate continued, “I’m excited for people to hear and experience “Resurrection” because I think it answers some of the questions that were posed in the first album, “The Key”. Musically, it offers some of the most diverse and challenging material that I’ve ever written.” Geoff Tate has sold more than 25 million records at the helm of Queensryche, the band he fronted for 30 years from their inception through 2012, earning three The GRAMMYs nominations, five MTV Music Video Award nomimations, and one MTV Video Music Awards along the way. The landmark concept album Operation: Mindcrime thrust Tate's unique social consciousness, style and expertly crafted lyrics into the national spotlight in 1988, and was followed by Empire in 1990, the album that delivered Queensryche to arena-headlining status and sold more than three million albums on the back of hit singles and radio staples "Silent Lucidity" and "Jet City Woman." By the time the band released Promised Land in 1994, Geoff Tate was universally acknowledged as one of the greatest frontmen in rock and metal, and a driving force behind one of the most innovative bands in mainstream music. From Mindcrime and Promised Land through 2009's overlooked gem American Soldier - Tate's ambitious concept album that explores the consequences of war as told through the voices of veterans - Tate's 13-album tenure with Queensryche was marked by exploration, intrigue, bold risks and gratifying results. “Resurrection” Track Listing: 1. Kane Roberts

Press release: BREAKING NEWS: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of Kane Roberts to the label for the release of his next solo album, sometime in 2017. Kane says, “[o]nce you strap on a guitar and make the hard coded decision to play music in the face of everything you know and don’t know, you find that “the life” (of a musician) has its way with you no matter what and WILL tear you up if you try and wander too far away. I may have stepped into other enterprises and projects, but I was never far from the jet stream that I was lucky enough to have been a part of in the 80s and 90s. Now, because of the new songs inside of me, my guitar and the fans I’m in contact with, I know the creative fire will burn me down if I don’t step back inside the flames. I believe the people at Frontiers Music Srl also feel that creative heat, the need to be an integral part of the music industry (their output is resoundingly prolific) and I don’t know of a better place for me to record and release my new album. Over the last few years the songs, the messages, and the fans have been burning a hole on my insides. This new album has been gearing up for a while and the songs and messages I’ll be forging will emerge from the fire. Sorry it took me so long, all kinds of life happened that will definitely find it’s way onto the record and yeah, I’m gonna hit this one hard." Kane has recorded a total of four solo albums so far (also including the Phoenix Down project released on Frontiers in the late 90’s). Kane’s name and abilities first came to prominence on Alice Cooper’s “Constrictor” album, which was soon followed by his self-titled debut solo album in 1987. More albums and tours with Alice followed, making Kane a well known face in the business especially for his guitar skills, but also for his body-builder image and his now iconic machine-gun guitar. As a solo recording artist, he has landed a few Top 40 hits and his varied musical background includes recording, writing and touring with artists such as Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Desmond Child, KISS, Diane Warren, Alice in Chains, Berlin, Guns N' Roses, Garland Jeffries and more. He’s also written or recorded music for films like Light Sleeper, Penelope Spheeris’ Decline of Western Civilization, Friday the 13th IV Jason Lives, John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness, and more. In 1991, his second solo album, “Saints and Sinners” for Geffen Records included the Top 40 Billboard hit “Does Anybody Really Fall In Love Anymore?”, originally written by Jon Bon Joviand Richie Sambora. 5. Press release from Frontiers Music: BREAKING NEWS: It’s been said that lightning never strikes the same place twice. However, it does in the case of Tesla. The band is thrilled to announce the release of a live recording of their classic album, “Mechanical Resonance LIVE!”, celebrating the original multi-Platinum record’s 30th birthday in style. With a few surprises up their sleeve, including the single “Save That Goodness,” a brand new song written and produced by Phil Collen of Def Leppard, the album will be released in Europe on August 26th on TESLA’s longtime label partner Frontiers Music Srl. The record is being released in conjunction with Tesla’s US summer tour opening up for Def Leppard, where they will perform in front of over half a million fans. Please see full tour routing at http://teslatheband.com/. Said Frank Hannon, “30 years later and the songs on our first album still rock! Making this new live album of Mechanical Resonance was a reminder of the innocence and creative beginnings of Tesla.” Added Brian Wheat, "It was a lot of fun to re-visit some of the songs we hadn't played in decades and had a great time recording it. " Over the course of their thirty-year career, which started in 1986, the iconic Sacramento melodic hard rock quintet—Frank Hannon [guitar], Brian Wheat [bass], Jeff Keith [lead vocals], Troy Luccketta [drums], and Dave Rude [guitar]—has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide and played to sold out crowds across the globe, their three albums that followed “Mechanical Resonance” all went multi-Platinum in the US. To say TESLA live is absolutely bombastic is an understatement, they are a hard rock band to beat all hard rock bands. The 21st century has become something of a renaissance for TESLA. Most recently, 2014’s Simplicity bowed at #14 on the Billboard Top 200. The group ignited ABC Television Network’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! in addition to scorching stages at festivals such as Rocklahoma, Graspop Metal Meeting, and Sweden Rock Festival as well as the Monsters of Rock Cruise! As they prepare to cut their ninth full-length studio album with Phil Collen in the producer’s chair, TESLA takes another monumental leap forward as they glance back on Mechanical Resonance Live! Mechanical Resonance Live tracklisting: 1. Rock Me To The Top 2. Ez Come Ez Go 3. Gettin’ Better 4. Cumin’ Atcha Live 5. Changes 6. Before My Eyes 7. 2 Late 4 Love 8. We’re No Good Together 9. 6. Press release from Frontiers Music: Frontiers Music Srl is excited to present the return of DRIVE, SHE SAID with the release of their highly anticipated new album “Pedal to the Metal” on April 15th, 2016! Mark Mangold's (one half of the driving force of Drive, She Said) creative rock flame was ignited once again after a performance with the Firefest version of Touch in Nottingham, UK in 2014. That creative desire and destiny intersected when he got an email from his old friend Serafino from Frontiers. Mangold, a renowned keyboardist, and his creative partner in Drive, She said, the amazing singer/multi-instrumentist Al Fritsch, then started talking with the Frontiers label about releasing new music. This was even more special of an event than a regular signing as Drive, She Said was the first proper artist that was signed to the label back when it started. Mangold and Fritsch got together and they penned a few sensational classic Melodic Rock / AOR numbers, chock full of marvelous and unforgettable vocal harmonies, as well as looking in the archives for two songs that they hadn't recorded before. Mangold says: “We tried to write this record as if we were again in the 80's/90's, with the benefit of time and modern recording techniques. In those days you needed to write a "hit" to get signed and carve out an original sound. This record was a challenge because we did not want to clone ourselves, or the many bands that have now have mastered this genre, or be generic. And yet we wanted to keep the record in that same world as the first D,SS record. And of course, we wanted to make it totally over the top! Ultimately it's about the songs and having fun, and last but never least to try to give the fans, or should I say the esteemed melodic "cult", something to... consider.” DRIVE, SHE SAID is set to appear live at the Frontiers Rock Festival in Trezzo (Milano), Italy on April 23rd, 2016. Those attending are in for a treat! DRIVE, SHE SAID - Lead Vocals: Al Fritsch - Guitars: Al Fritsch with additional guitars by Tommy Denander, Daniel Palmqvist, Jon Bivona, Ray De Tone, Ricky Wheels - Keyboards: Mark Mangold, Al Fritsch Bass: Ken Sandin, Al Fritsch, Paul St. James, Alessandro Del Vecchio - Drums: Peter Yttergren, Pontus Engborg, Francesco Jovino, Kenny Aronoff - Background Vocals: Goran Edman, Chandler Mogel, Ted Poley, Al Fritsch, Mark Mangold, Kevin Osborne, Randy Jackson, Thomas Vikstrom, Peppy Castro - Vocal Duet on “In Your Arms”: Al and Fiona 1. 7. Press release from Frontiers Music: BREAKING NEWS: Frontiers Music Srl is excited to announce the release of TED POLEY’s new solo album “Beyond The Fade” on May 13th, 2016. Best known as lead vocalist for the legendary Melodic Rock masters Danger Danger, Ted Poley is also an accomplished solo artist, having released two acclaimed releases, “Collateral Damage” (2006) and “Smile”(2007). The story of “Beyond The Fade” starts after Danger Danger’s acclaimed performance at Frontiers Rock Festival in Milano in 2014, when he and the label developed the idea to work together on some new music. The next step was to speak to producer Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Edge of Forever) and with a band that he put together, Ted performed at the second edition of the Frontiers Rock Festival. A few months later, Ted came back to Italy to finish the vocals on the album. Ted says: “I am absolutely thrilled with the way the whole album came out. If I have one quote: "ITS AWESOME!" My great friend and co-producer Alessandro Del Vecchio brought my sonic vision to life and no request from me was too great for him toward his goal of making "The Ultimate Ted Poley Solo Album" and he surely delivered on his promise. We had alot of fun making the album and its obvious when you hear it. You can practically hear my smile while I am singing. We decided to make it sound BIG and there are a ton of backing vocals (in some cases more than 80 tracks of them!), along with great songs, soaring melodic guitar leads, pounding bass and big drums, all layered with cool keyboards... like a delicious Musical Cake! Save some room for dessert, I KNOW THAT YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS ONE!” With songs penned by the brothers Tom and James Martin (VEGA) and “Hands of Love” written by Tony Bruno/Joe Lynn Turner, the sound of the record is nothing else but Ted Poley at his best, with immediately recognizable hooklines, amazing guitar work, immaculate production and total 80's attitude! “Beyond the Fade” is sure to please not only Ted Poley's fans, but all fans of melodic hard rock. Don't miss this superb release. Ted Poley: Lead Vocals Issa: duet vocal on The Perfect Crime Alessandro Del Vecchio: Drums, Keyboards, Backing Vocals Mario Percudani: Guitars Anna Portalupi: Bass Tracks: 1. Let's Start Something 2. Q5 - New World Order

Press release from Frontiers Music: Frontiers Music Srl welcomes Q5 to the label! Q5 was formed in 1983 by members of two popular Seattle bands: vocalist Jonathan K and guitarist (famous guitar tremolo inventor) Floyd Rose from The C.O.R.E. and Rick Pierce (guitar), Evan Sheeley (Bass) and Gary Thompson (drums) from TKO. Q5 released its first album, "STEEL THE LIGHT" in 1984, receiving immediate critical acclaim, and landing them tours with Twisted Sister, Y&T and Lita Ford. The success of "STEEL THE LIGHT" led them to eventually sign with Polygram/Squawk for their 1985 sophomore release "WHEN THE MIRROR CRACKS", but due to personal differences, the original lineup dissolved shortly after this release. In 1991, Jonathan K and Rick Pierce started a new project called NIGHTSHADE with drummer Jeffrey McCormack and bassist Anthony Magnelli and released their first album, "DEAD OF NIGHT". This album was partially comprised of material that was to be the third Q5 release, and it received worldwide critical acclaim. In 2009, when Nightshade was slated to perform at the Headbangers Open Air Festivalin Germany, with Evan Sheeley on bass, the promoters asked if they would perform a second set as Q5 and the band agreed to do it. The fans response was overwhelming to say the least! In 2014, Q5 was asked to perform at Sweden Rock Festival, a performance that the band had agreed would be a "one off" show, but at the completion of the performance, it was obvious that this was not an ending, but merely a beginning. Upon returning to Seattle, the band secured drummer Jeffrey McCormack (former Heir Apparent, Fifth Angel) again, and guitar virtuoso Dennis Turner to complete the line-up. "STEEL THE LIGHT" continues to be discovered and gain new fans all over the world. Critics are still touting the album as a "classic" and a "must have in any metalhead's collection". Bands such as Great White [band], Wolf, October 31 and many others have covered songs from the album, and fans are writing from all corners of the globe, eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the Q5 story...That chapter begins NOW! “We are truly honored to be with Frontiers!” says drummer Jeff McCormack! With a super strong lineup, a new label and an album slated for release in early 2016, Q5 is poised to take its rightful place in the hard rock / heavy metal history books!
  9. Press release from Frontiers Music: BREAKING NEWS: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of TRICK OR TREAT for the release of the band’s new album, “Rabbits’ Hill Pt. 2”. TRICK OR TREAT is an Italian power metal band originally formed in 2002 as a tribute act to Helloween. They quickly became popular in the live circuit, started writing and performing their own songs, and finally managed to release their debut album, “Evil Needs Candy Too” in 2006. The record received terrific responses and got TRICK OR TREAT on the road for the following two years with over 100 gigs in Europe and U.S. Soon after TRICK OR TREAT released their second full length, “Tin Soldiers”, which also featured Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween, Place Vendome, Unisonic, Kiske/Somerville) and Michele Luppi (Whitesnake) as special guests. The record was met with excellent response from Japan (where the band entered the national charts at #29). Italy also received the album favorably and the band was invited to play at some of the leading Italian metal festivals such as Agglutination, the I-Metal Fest, and the Gods Of Metal. Subsequent years saw the band touring with the likes of Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, and Helloween. In early 2012, Luca Turilli announced that Trick or Treat’s singer, Alessandro Conti was chosen to be the new lead singer of the band Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, but this did not slow down TRICK OR TREAT, who - still in 2012 - released their third album “Rabbits’ Hill Pt.1″, a concept album inspired by the Richard Adams' novel “Watership Down”. The band says: “This is a really big step for us. We’re so grateful to Niki Lou Rosh from Valery Records who, thanks to his hard work and efforts, brought us this great opportunity. We are now ready for this new and amazing experience and stay tuned because Rabbits’ Hill Pt. 2 is coming soon! “ “Rabbit’s Hill Pt. 2” will be released in the summer of 2016 with tour dates to follow. Stay tuned for more surprises from this amazing band! TRICK OR TREAT is: Alessandro Conti : Voice Guido Benedetti : Guitars Luca Venturelli : Guitars Leone Villani Conti : Bass Luca Setti : Drums

  11. Press release: BREAKING NEWS: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of SUNSTORM’s fourth album entitled “Edge of Tomorrow” on May 13th, 2016. SUNSTORM is Joe Lynn Turner's succesful AOR / Melodic Rock project, something that came about for the first time in 2006 when Frontiers President Serafino Perugino wanted to dig up some unreleased gems that JLT wrote during the late 80’s and early 90’s. The very good reviews and acclaim which surrounded the debut self-titled release was the fuel that ignited three more records, until the project was momentarily shelved when Joe started working on the Rated X supergroup with Tony Franklin and Carmine Appice. After the release of the RATED X album, Joe wanted to go back to the more melodic material of SUNSTORM, but also wanted to retain some of the harder edge which the RATED X album had. So he asked producer and songwriter Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Edge of Forever) to come up with some new songs in that vein. Del Vecchio joined forces with Simone Mularoni, guitar player of Italian prog metallers DGM. Together they developed songs which were exactly what Joe wanted, so it was a natural process to move forward and record another SUNSTORM album. As usual, other songwriters, such as Soren Kronqvist and Daniel Palmqvist completed the array of individuals involved. Joe Lynn Turner says: “This new Sunstorm album is the best of the series! We went harder... stronger... and heavier than ever before without losing the integrity of what the project is about...I call it Melodic Metal! The songs are very well crafted, the messages are profound, the performances amazing..and the sound is incredible! All involved can be very proud of such a great music. I urge anyone who loves great music to check out "Edge of Tomorrow", you won't be disappointed!” The resulting album shows a slightly new direction for SUNSTORM, which still features organic and very strong melodies as a trademark. Enjoy! SUNSTORM Joe Lynn Turner – Lead Vocals Alessandro Del Vecchio, Hammond organ, keyboards, backing vocals Simone Mularoni, guitars Nik Mazzucconi, bass Francesco Jovino, drums Tracks: 1. Don’t Walk Away From A Goodbye 2. Edge Of Tomorrow 3. Nothing Left To Say 4. Heart Of The Storm 5. The Sound Of Goodbye 6. The Darkness Of This Dawn 7. You Hold Me Down 8. Angel Eyes 9. Everything You’ve Got 10. Tangled In Blue 11. Burning Fire
  12. Press release from Frontiers Music: BREAKING NEWS: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of EDGE OF FOREVER to the label for a multi-album deal! Originally formed in 2002, Edge Of Forever released their first album, “Feeding The Fire” in 2004 which was produced by the late Marcel Jacob (ex-Official Yngwie Malmsteen, Talisman). Just a few months later, the band was already working on a new album with producer Bobby Barth (Axe, BLACKFOOT) in New Orleans. The collaboration led to “Let The Demon Rock’n’Roll,” which came out about one year after the debut album. In 2005 the band saw a change of personnel, leaving only Alessandro Del Vecchio and Francesco Jovino from the original line-up. Alessandro then took on the lead vocal spot and guitarist Walter Caliaro and bassist Nik Mazzucconi (Ian Paice, Carmine Appice) joined the band. In 2010, with the new lineup operating like a well oiled machine, Edge of Forever released their third record entitled “Another Paradise”. The album was once again very well received and Alessandro Del Vecchio’s reputation as producer started to grow steadily. While Francesco was stepping into the metal world with U.D.O. and a short tenure with ACCEPT(now he plays drums with Primal Fear), Alessandro Del Vecchio started to tour with artists like Ian Paice, Glenn Hughes, Bernie Marsden, and Carmine Appice and also continuing to work in the studio. In 2011, Alessandro signed on with Frontiers Music Srl to produce and be part of the come-back of the legendary hard rock act Hardline. Again with his pal Francesco Jovino on drums, Hardline released “Danger Zone” in 2012 while the video for the single from the album, “Fever Dreams” reached almost 1 million views on YouTube. Alessandro’s collaboration with Frontiers over the course of about 5 years has given birth to amazing records like Revolution Saints (Deen Castronovo, Jack Blades, Doug Aldrich), Sunstorm (with Joe Lynn Turner Official Page), Fergie Frederiksen’s last album “Any Given Moment”, Resurrection Kings (Craig Goldy, Vinny Appice, Sean McNabb Actor/Musician, Chas West) and many more, plus writing and playing for artists like Place Vendome, Find Me (featuring Robbie Lablanc of Blanc Faces), First Signal (featuring Harry Hess of Harem Scarem), Level 10 (featuring Russell Allen and Mat Sinner), and Toby Hitchcock among others. Now it’s time for Alessandro and his guys to step out on their own and show the world what they’re capable of! “I’m very honored to have my own band Edge Of Forever signed to the big Frontiers family,” says Alessandro Del Vecchio. “It’s been a few years now that I've worked with Serafino and for some time we have been talking about a record with me on vocals, which couldn’t be with anyone but with my guys. Francesco, Nik and Walter have been with me already on a few albums I released through Frontiers, but this time is gonna be different. It’s our baby and our primal need of creation. We are entering the studio this summer and I promise we will deliver our best songs and I will top my productions with a bombastic and epic sound. In addition to the new album, we decided to allow Frontiers to re-release our previous albums - which I’m gonna remaster with bonus tracks - for all digital platforms. I guess it's time for people to listen to the out-takes of our previous albums with our friends Jeff Scott Soto Officialand Bobby Barth. This made the deal even more attractive for us. Now it’s our turn to say something and give Frontiers our best album so far! I feel and we feel more confident than ever in what we can do. Years of working in the Champions League of Rock’n’Roll forged us as better musicians. I honestly can’t wait. After 5 years of amazing music with Frontiers, I’m excited to do something again with the band that started it all for me. Who’s Luckier Than Me?®” Frontiers plans to release EDGE OF FOREVER new album in early 2017. EDGE OF FOREVER: Alessandro Del Vecchio: vocals, keyboards Walter Caliaro: guitars Nik Mazzucconi: bass Francesco Jovino: drums
  13. Press release from Frontiers Music: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to present the self-titled debut album from NORDIC UNION, which is set for release on January 29, 2016. NORDIC UNION is the name behind the new musical collaboration, built by Frontiers President Serafino Perugino, between singer Ronnie Atkins of the legendary Danish Hard Rock institution Pretty Maids and the up-and-coming Swedish songwriter and producer Erik Martensson of Eclipse (Sweden) and W.E.T fame. The partnership between the two fellow Scandinavians worked well and together they have created some musical magic, which will truly impress the fans of these highly regarded musicians. Atkins says: “The music on the album has a focus on good melodies and there’s some good guitar work as well. I had a good gut feeling ever since I heard the first songs from Erik Martensson, and I was right he’s a very gifted and talented songwriter!” These songs are guaranteed not to leave your head for a long time. Just have a listen to the gorgeous anthemic opener “The War Has Begun” and some killer melodic gems like “When Death Is Calling,” “21 Guns” and “Hypocrisy” with great hooks and epic guitar riffs. “Wide Awake” can be described as a combination between pop and melodic rock with a modern production. Primal Fear - Rulebreaker

Press release from Frontiers Music: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the worldwide release of the new PRIMAL FEAR studio album “Rulebreaker” on January 29, 2016! Available in CD, deluxe CD/DVD and – in collaboration with Soulfood Music in Germany – also on vinyl and a special super-limited vinyl edition version featuring an eagle head on the vinyl, “Rulebreaker” combines the strongest PRIMAL FEAR moments ever, with a well-balanced typical PRIMAL FEAR trademark riff-vibe, crushing songs and some very ambitious musical journeys. Singer Ralf Scheepers says: “We have so much energy, fantastic melodies and a hell of a drum groove on each and every song, there is no doubt that the fans will love it as much as I do! And again we have achieved to combine bombastic and atmospheric orchestral sounds with soaring heavy metal riffs and licks, together with ear splitting screams and also emotional sequences. We have kept the promise of being a heavy metal band with all the trademarks for which people love Primal Fear“. After the massive “Delivering The Black” world tour, PRIMAL FEAR started the songwriting in spring 2015 and recorded at Hansen Studios in Denmark, with producer Mat Sinner and engineer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Pretty Maids, Amaranthe). Mat Sinner adds: “We learnt a lot during the Delivering The Black sessions and the following world tour. We tried to put this know-how and all the positive energy into the songs and production of “Rulebreaker. Working the second time with Jacob Hansen and even record in his studio, gave another dimension to our sound, plus the recording comeback of founding member Tom Naumann was the right move”. Classic and ultra-fresh Primal Fear riff-rockers like the album opener “Angels Of Mercy,” or the groove monsters “The End Is Near” and “Bullets And Tears” hit the bulls-eye from the beginning - just like the untamed speed killer “In Metal We Trust” and the metal anthem and title track “Rulebreaker”. The melodic and unique ballad “The Sky Is Burning” shows a different side of PRIMAL FEAR with a new vibe and a monster chorus. And of course, PRIMAL FEAR added again a 11-minute plus Prog Metal tour de force entitled “We Walk Without Fear”, spiced with big orchestral arrangements and complex sound designs. PRIMAL FEAR are about to release what is definitely their strongest album ever: “RULEBREAKER”. Don’t miss the German Metal Commando on their worldwide tour in 2016! No Hot Ashes

Press release from Frontiers Music: Frontiers Music Srl is delighted to announce the signing of NO HOT ASHES for the release of a brand new album in the spring of 2016! NO HOT ASHES are a melodic rock group who formed in the early ‘80s in Belfast. The rock scene was a welcome alternative to the violence that was happening on the streets and ‘The Ashes’ became local favourites releasing one single independently before signing to GWR Records in 1988, with a line-up featuring original members Dave Irvine on guitar and Paul Boyd on bass, joined by new singer Tommy Quinn on vocals, Tommy Dickson on keyboards and Steve Strange on drums. Moving to London and supporting the likes of Mama’s Boys and Magnum, it seemed their star was rising, but problems with getting their debut album released brought dissolution and one-by-one band members returned to Northern Ireland. By the end of 1990, ‘The Ashes’ fire went out and they called it a day. Fast forward through the years to September 2013 and No Hot Ashes are given two reasons to reform. One was to play a tribute gig for Belfast’s famous Rosetta Bar, the centre for Northern Ireland’s rock and metal scene from the early 80’s, which had recently closed. The other was to remember old rock friends who were no longer with them. The Rosie, as it was affectionately known, was a venue very dear to The Ashes hearts as their club night ‘Cinders’ was started by their old manager Stephen Magee, a mad PR genius who passed way before his time. They enjoyed playing again so much… they couldn’t stop and since the beginning of 2014 they’ve supported Aerosmith, Foreigner, FM official and UFO. Playing Hard Rock Hell AOR, Download Festival, London Calling, Ramblin' Man and Steelhouse festivals and most recently, Rockingham! They still sound and feel like a classic 80’s rock band and after tracking new demos, the band sent the material to Frontiers who loved what they heard (strongly rooted in the classic tradition of British Melodic Rock à la FM, Heartland, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi) and signed them for the release of a new record. “There's less hair but more rock,” said Davey Irvine. “And it’s great to get back with the guys after all these years. I'm really enjoying writing the new material and I think we've all aged well musically.” And, as original singer Eamon Nancarrow points out: “With NO HOT ASHES I have always felt that we had some unfinished business. What I want from this reunion, and the up and coming gigs is to prove we could have made it given the breaks. Oh yeah and to show my kids that their Dad rocks!” With old crowd favorites such as “I’m Back” and “Summer Rain” in the set, the Ashes have also been writing new material, such as the epic ballad “Boulders” and the all out rocker “Glow” which will set fire to the new record. For drummer Steve Strange, the only member to have carved a successful career in the music industry, it is the songs that make this adventure worthwhile: “These tunes have stayed in my head since we split up and I’ve always felt they needed to be heard by a wider audience. When the band clicked at first rehearsal it made sense to see how far we could take this.” All members in the current line up below have played a significant part in the band’s history with Dave Irvine being the only member to have been in all manifestations. NO HOT ASHES are Dave Irvine on guitar, Nial Diver on guitar, Paul Boyd on bass, Steve Strange on drums, Tommy Dickson on keyboards, along with the original singer Eamon Nancarrow. The Reunion EP featuring re-recorded tracks from their early days is available for free download from SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/nohotashesreunion. Expect NO HOT ASHES' debut album to finally be in stores in the spring of 2016 - only 33 years after they formed.
  20. Press release from Frontiers Music: Swedish axeman MAGNUS KARLSSON is back with the second album of his solo project FREEFALL entitled “Kingdom of Rock”! Out on Frontiers in November! Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of the sophomore album from MAGNUS KARLSSON’S FREEFALL “Kingdom Of Rock” on November 6th. Magnus Karlsson is the mastermind behind several Frontiers Music Srl productions, including the successful initial ALLEN/LANDE trilogy, STARBREAKER, BOB CATLEY, KISKE/SOMERVILLE and several others. In 2008, he joined the German Heavy Metal icons PRIMAL FEAR and with them has toured the world and recorded three successful albums that climbed high on the charts in several countries. For this new album – aptly titled “Kingdom of Rock” - Magnus enlisted again a dream team featuring some of the strongest melodic singers in metal and hard rock! Magnus says: “I didn’t plan to make a second Free Fall album at first but one album wasn’t enough for my wish list of singers… so after the summer last year I started on some ideas. Without pressure or a deadline… just for fun. So I started to look at the list with singers and thought if can I get these guys on board I will work harder than ever before to make the best album I could. I wanted not only some of the best singers I ever heard, but singers that meant a lot to me and that have given me inspiration. For example: Tony Martin and Joe Lynn Turner… I grew up with their music and that made me the musician I am today. It feels unreal to make music with them now!“ The final list includes TONY HARNELL (Skid Row, TNT, Starbreaker), RICK ALTZI (Masterplan, At Vance), DAVID READMAN (Pink Cream 69, Voodoo Circle), JORN LANDE, JAKOB SAMUEL (The Poodles), JOE LYNN TURNER (Rainbow, Malmsteen, Deep Purple), TONY MARTIN (Black Sabbath), HARRY HESS (Harem Scarem) and REBECCA DE LA MOTTE. Rounding out the line-up on the album is Jaime Salazar on drums with production duties handled by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Primal Fear, Amaranthe, Pretty Maids and more). Magnus says, “There is a lot more work in this album. Normally I don’t throw away good ideas. This time I skipped great ideas and replaced it with something better. I don’t want to do the same thing over and over. I want to do something better. I also had a bigger budget for the production and was able to work in great studios. Jacob Hansen did a fantastic job with the mix and mastering and the sound is just what I always wanted. This is not about having big names on the album, this is simply about making the best music I possibly can for the best singers I know!” The final result “Kingdom of Rock” is a Melodic Metal blast which is truly one of the top releases of its kind in 2015! facebook Tracklist: Kingdom Of Rock (Jorn Lande, vocals) Out Of The Dark (Jakob Samuel, vocals) No Control (Joe Lynn Turner, vocals) When The Sky Falls (Tony Martin, vocals) Angel Of The Night (David Readman, vocals) I Am Coming For You (Magnus Karlsson, vocals) Another Life (Rick Altzi, vocals) Never Look Away (Tony Harnell, vocals) A Heart So Cold (Harry Hess, vocals) The Right Moment (Rebecca De La Motte, vocals) Walk This Road Alone (Magnus Karlsson, vocals)
  21. Press release from Frontiers Music: On November 6, 2015, Frontiers Music Srl will release Billy Sherwood's latest, a concept album called CITIZEN. Billy Sherwood created this concept album based on a lost soul that is reincarnated into various periods of history. "I was inspired by the notion that General Patton believed he was reincarnated on various battlefields through time; I wanted to take that concept even further." As the songwriter/producer, Billy placed the citizen character into significant moments of history. The lead off track is called “The Citizen" which sets the stage for what's to come on the recording. “The Citizen” features Billy's longtime friends and members of the legendary Progressive Rock band Yes: bassist Chris Squire and former Yes keyboardist Tony Kaye. Each song places the Citizen into a unique set of circumstances where decisions are made that have serious personal and global consequences. In the song “No Man's Land" (featuring Deep Purple/Dixie Dregs/Kansas guitarist Steve Morse) the Citizen appears as a World War I trench runner who passes the message along to the troops that it's time to attack; the Citizen remains behind and is, ultimately, the only survivor. “Empire" (with lead vocals by Alan Parsons & violin from Jerry Goodman of the Flock, Dixie Dregs, Mahavishnu Orchestra) finds the Citizen as a conscript legionnaire in the final days of the Roman Empire. “Just Galileo and Me" (sung by Colin Moulding singer/bassist of XTC) shows the Citizen as a protective friend to Galileo, trying to tell the astronomer that he should not tell people that the earth is not flat or he will be labeled as a heretic. Known as a multi-instrumentalist, Billy performs drums, bass, guitar, keys and sings several of the songs, including “A Theory of its Own” in which the Citizen appears as companion to Charles Darwin on the evolutionist’s maiden voyage. He sings of Native Americans affected by the Indian Removal Act of 1830 in the song, “Trail of Tears,” which features Patrick Moraz on keyboards. Former Genesis guitar player Steve Hackett adds his chops to “Man And The Machine,” which is about an assembly line worker and activist in the late 1890s. "Age Of The Atom” is about the creation of the Atomic Bomb and the questions of morality as a result of it; this features Geoff Downes on keyboards. Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess appears on “Escape Velocity,” a song that speaks to the political implications of the space race in the 1960s. In “The Great Depression,” Billy's songwriter’s pen draws pain from the heart of a distraught Wall Street investor, who has lost everything in the stock market, and steps out to make a final step off the ledge. Rick Wakeman plays grand piano and other keyboards on this one. Finally, in CITIZEN’s 11th song, “Written In The Centuries,” performed by current Yes singer Jon Davison, Nostradamus is the Citizen busily composing his many predictions. Billy Sherwood was recently handpicked by Chris Squire to fill in for him on bass and vocals in Yes, before he left for cancer treatment and ultimately, his untimely death. Billy started his career in the band Lodgic and then as a member of World Trade, who have two critically-acclaimed albums. He has produced and engineered for many artists including John Wetton, Motorhead, Queensryche, Paul Rodgers, and Yes. He joined Yes first as touring member on the “Talk” tour in 1994, and was a full time member from 1997 to 1999. He recorded two albums with Chris Squire as the “Conspiracy” project and released six albums with Circa, the band he formed with Tony Kaye. CITIZEN is Billy’s eighth album of new material, though he sees this as a group effort, "While I've created a lot of this record myself I couldn't have done it without the amazing talents brought to bear by all the great artists who participated. So I feel it's much more of a collective effort than a solo album. It's my desire to take this production onto the stage and some of these amazing artists can help bring this concept to life.” Tracklist: 1. The Citizen 2. Man and the Machine 3. Just Galileo and Me 4. No Mans Land 5. The Great Depression 6. Empire 7. Age of the Atom 8. Trail of Tears 9. Escape Velocity 10. A Theory All It's Own 11. Written in the Centuries
  22. VANDEN PLAS set to release the second chapter of Rock Opera written in collaboration with famed German author Wolfgang Hohlbein. “Chronicles of the Immortals – Netherworld II” out on Frontiers in November! Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of the second chapter of VANDEN PLAS' rock opera, “Chronicles of the Immortals – Netherworld II” on November 6th. Approximately one year after the release of the first chapter, Vanden Plas return with their elaborate arrangements, superb piano melodies, and epic instrumental passages, paired with the signature heavy Vanden Plas sound and distinctive vocals of Andy Kuntz. In guitarist Stephan Lill’s words: “This is our 8th studio album, so now we know what works for Vanden Plas and what doesn´t. With every new cd we try to continue to break new ground, while still remaining faithful to our original style. As the songs of “Chronicles of the Immortals - Netherworld Part I & II” are written for a Rock Opera, this time the arrangements of the music are more epic and orchestral than on the previous albums. The engagements for several rock operas in theaters and the work together with big orchestras helped us a lot to improve the way of writing songs or to arrange song parts in a way that makes it special. A band needs this kind of a light progression. And maybe the next cd will sound a bit more reduced again, we will see.” Fans of the saga of the immortal Andrej Delãny will now be able to enjoy the eagerly awaited continuation with "Chronicle Of The Immortals - Netherworld II." As "Chronicles Of The Immortals - Netherworld, Path I" ended, the perfidious plans of the dark Godmaker threatened to emerge. All seemed lost, yet from within the pervading darkness shone a soft light. Deliverance comes in the second half of the story, where the creative duo of Vanden Plas and Wolfgang Hohlbein has merged again in top form. And of course it will be up to the listener to find out how the story will end! “Wolfgang Hohlbein was, together with his manager Dieter Winkler and our singer Andy, responsible for the story which was the base for both “Chronicles of the immortals - Netherworld” cd´s. For the theater piece we did here in Germany, he wrote a book especially for this event what was fantastic,” tells Stephan. Vanden Plas has always been open to remarkable and unusual ideas, and the collaboration with the writer Wolfgang Hohlbein found fertile ground there from the beginning. The author who has sold more than 40 million books worldwide was a big fan of the band. "Blutnacht" (Bloodnight), a stage production performed at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, was based on his series "The Chronicle of the Immortals." Hohlbein, his manager Dieter Winkler, and Vanden Plas frontman Andy Kuntz developed the story and Vanden Plas provided the musical realization. The reward was 25 sold-out performances during the 2012 and 2013 seasons and unanimously thrilled audiences. “We will start the shows in support of the new album during the winter of 2015. For the previous cd, we played 3 to 4 shows in seven countries in Europe. That´s what we plan also for the beginning of 2016. We just have to coordinate the dates of our Vanden Plas concerts with the dates of our theatre shows to take care that there won´t be a crossing over,” concludes Stephan. For more than 20 years, Vanden Plas has stood for intelligent Progressive Metal. With "Netherworld II," the conclusion of "Chronicles Of The Immortals," the band now opens a new and exciting chapter in its career.
