Thanks, guys - feeling a whole lot better now! Once or twice a month, I go to see my eldest son, so I'll get the chance to listen to maybe six or seven CDs in the car (more, if they don't hold my interest) ... but pretty much everything I listen to is 'older' material (usually stuff that has been sitting around for a while, that I just haven't got around to playing.) Gone are the days when I'd be buying every single in every format by a favourite band!

... how the hell do you guys (and girls) find the time to listen to/keep up with all these bands? I read through the various topics, with every intention of checking out some of this stuff ... then I find that we're six months down the line, one of the bands has split up, another one has released two more albums and another has spawned six side-projects and a TV series ... and I've missed it all! Okay, so I appreciate that my advanced age, ridiculous number of kids and inability to use earphones/earplugs (long story) doesn't help but, seriously ... do you people never sleep?

So, Ginger Wildheart pulled his show after being hospitalised following an 'altercation' at a gig in Ireland ... *rolls eyes* Off to Mammoth Fest next month (with JamesEagle) - we're going on the Friday night (the 'Black Metal' night), so I'm not expecting lush harmonies and catchy choruses October 18th - Gary Numan. October 31st - Justin Currie (former Del Amitri frontman.) November 3rd - Paradise Lost. November 10th - Cradle Of Filth. December 19th - Fish.

I haven't seen W.A.S.P. for years, but all the reviews I've read suggest that I'm not missing anything ...

Must admit, I was a bit shocked to read that Tobe Hooper had passed away on Saturday ... loved both 'Poltergeist' and 'Lifeforce' ...

'The Hitman's Bodyguard' ... gotta agree with KarpetRyd, this one was brilliant! Saw the trailer for the 'Flatliners' re-make/re-boot ... it looks as though they've taken everything that made the orignal film so good, and just thrown it all away ...
