  1. Wow I'm impressed by the songs posted here. I'm gonna have to check out the album. I enjoyed Babylon, and this sounds like it's along a similar level.
  2. Sounds like they've got a lot of potential. The vocals sound a bit off in places, phrasing and such (mainly on "No More"). But the music is pretty gnarly. I like the KISS-style artwork
  3. Looks I'm in the minority here I went for Unattractive Revolution. Generation Wild is my #2. I personally just like Ollie better than Simon. Being a Reckless fan, I think it's cool hearing Ollie in this setup. And I haven't really listened to Rest in Sleaze much.
  4. Wig Wam is (was) awesome. I wouldn't call them sleaze. I'd say Melodic / AOR with glam image, as you said, Geoff
  5. I remember seeing their video for "New Thing" and thinking "so this is when glam metal began to fade out" lol. I have since gone on to like that song and the crazy video, and them in general, but I am not really so interested in them when it's not Donnie singing. Same thing goes for bands like Skid Row without Bach, etc. Not much interest.
  6. Just saw NiteRain a few weeks ago open up for Reckless Love. Damn, they killed it. Awesome live show! Really liking their new stuff too, hopefully they put out a new record soon.
  7. I found a Metal Sludge "article" from 2002 about it, but unfortunately all the photos are gone. http://metalsludge.tv/classic/?p=29779 I tweeted to Mark about it, he should definitely do 20 questions with them!
  8. I've actually seen that. I'm pretty sure that was right before they got signed and changed their name to Sugar Ray. This was actually Sugar Ray's very early sound and is featured on their "Lemonade and Brownies" CD. From what I've heard though, they had changed their sound to this more 90s hard rock style to appeal more to labels at that point ("Caboose" point, I mean), so I'd love to find some recordings of them before this when they were hair metal. No idea if any recordings actually exist. I actually tweeted to Mark about Shrinky Dinx and he replied laughing about it, saying they were featured on the cover of some magazine back then. But still haven't heard anything about early recordings
  9. I like how active Ace has been in recent years. Much better than Bret Michaels and his weird solo "albums", most of which are basically just collections of previous songs, and most of which have at least one song called "Rock My World" or something with Rock My in it I enjoyed Space Invader. I'll check this out
  10. Am I allowed to post on such an old thread? haha Anyway, when this album came out I was disappointed. However, I've revisited it lately and I really enjoy it. Pretty much all hoobastank releases are damn solid, my favorite though is still the self-titled. Admittedly, I need to take the time to give their newest one a chance now. I wish they'd release something new now, since the latest one was 2012 now (and it's 2016). Hoobastank guitar tabs actually played a major role in me learning guitar
  11. Yeah I checked it out, it's actually pretty good. It's cool hearing Lit play glam metal, haha. That's why I'm so interested to hear Sugar Ray play hair metal also, always cool to hear where bands started out. Apparently after that they changed their name to Stain, and then (luckily) changed their name to Lit. This is much better than ZOOM
  12. I've also always wondered why they chose the name Holocaust Riot. Makes me think they just chose something that sounded edgy simply for the sake of sounding sleaze and edgy.
  13. That was pretty cool! But I don't really like when singers show off and do all those turns and stuff like she did in the end, lol
  14. Thanks for the link! I like LIT a lot (mostly A Place in the Sun and self-titled) so this is going to be interesting.
  15. I like what I heard so far. Might pick up the album!
