  7. It wasn't a trip for the hunt but a visit family Christmas break. It was one on the worst shopping experience ever. I know CD hunting is going to be a waste of time these days. Really, all I find anymore is maybe a new release used. It's not like I only look for CDs, I search for sports stuff, maybe a few autographs, who knows what you'll find.
  8. It's a little late to post but got the flu 3 weeks ago and still haven't been feeling that great. Plus I wanted to hit some local shops before I posted this but didn't get to many. My trip is from Pittsburgh to Rochester, NY, and hitting the shops in Erie & Buffalo as well. Stops included goodwill stores, pawn shops, used cd stores, etc. anything were I could find a deal as I have a few extra days off from work to visit family out of town. I'm posting this for 2 reasons. To remember what I found on this trip and how bad it actually was. This is what found for about 20 hours of searching. Not including my drive from Pittsburgh to Rochester. 2 cassettes. Luis Cardenas: Animal Instinct Galleyboys: S/T Ya. That's it for about 20 hours of searching. Totally dead out there. 14. The last of the great albums by Dokken. Every song has a great guitar solo in it. I love every song but my least fav is Burning Like a Flame.
  15. Good stuff. Gargoyles is a throw back but all keepers.
  16. Went to New York to visit with some family. We had kids with us and went to a state park for some adventure for the day & then my wife, brother & sister in law all wanted to visit their old college Genesso & grab something to eat. As we walked around their old college campus, I noticed a small music & cd store. As I walked by they has some boxes of CDs out on the sidewalk. I figured, give a quick look and catch up to everyone, never expected to see anything, I came across Cleveland 53:54. I thought wow that's a nice find, I better look through everything. So to make a long story shorter, here were my finds. The sale was 3 for $5. Cleveland 53:54 1989 King Kobra III 1988 Broken Toyz: Savage 1995 Monster X: Four Twenty 1997 Voodoo Machine: Pins n Needles 2002 Gargoyles: Without End 1992 (probably a throwback) My best/most finds iin one place in a long time. So, later that trip, I decided to hit a few local shops. Again, never find anything anymore but what the heck I'm on fire. Well, a few more good finds. Atomic Up: s/t 1992 $5 Court Jester: King for a Day 1991 $5 Haphazard: s/t 1996-1999 pressed in 2000 $1 Man Machine: Step Into Time 1991 $1 Uncle Sam: Heaven or Hollywood 1987 (cassette) Not to bad. The interesting thing here is the Haphazard. It's not the band listed on his site. This band is from New Jersey. It's nice to come across a hair metal indie you've never heard of.
  17. Backed, CDR. Still nice to have but only for a decent price.
  18. Fast forward to my Christmas trip 2012. I didn't make it a point go out and hit all the stores I could but just went here and there. Hitting the same areas as before I didn't come up with much but did buy a LP, CD and Cassette. (LP) Rock Candy: Sucker for a Pretty Face (semi sealed w/ guitar pick) (CD) Highwire: Seeing is Believing (Cass) Babe Blue: You Can't Stop Rock N Roll Some cool stuff.
  19. I also had trouble with the site Friday night but it may actually have been the server. Glad to see you have extended the sale for 7 days. Gives me time to order.
  20. Go to TJ Maxx or Marshalls, I usually get mine between $25-30 bucks, name brands too. I also am cheap.
  21. Not much into the newer local stuff. My favorite band in Pittsburgh right now is Glitz. Pretty much all 80's metal cover but is always an excellent show.
  22. Erie, Buffalo, Rochester and back to Pittsburgh.
