Guardian - Almost Home

Wow, didn't know this one was coming!

The song is nice, rather straightforward but definitely makes me want to hear more. It's a bit of a blend between the old and newer stuff. I miss a big Tony Palacios guitar solo in the middle though.

Since when does Guardian have a second guitar player?

Wow. Guys, this is good. I'd say it's similar to Miracle Mile. The album never gets too heavy, it's certainly on the lighter side, but not soft. It's simply very well assembled. I'm a backer, yet for the past two years I wasn't expecting much from this. But I'm elated to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I'm throwing this on the thighPod, and I'll play it all week to get a better feel.

I must hear this one - terrible, annoying band photo, but if it's similar to the debut I be very interested.

It's not. Thankfully. I don't care for the first two. Miracle Mile was what really resonated with me.

Whoops, yep, I'm a tool. 'First watch' is what I think of. 'Miracle Mile' is the 3rd one, hey? Loved the last song - a big ballad, if I recall, hated the rest. Oh well, maybe my interest in this disc is not there then. ;)

No, I think it definitely should be. I'm trying to find a comparison, but I'm terrible at that sort of thing. Plus, I don't want to say anything that may deter anyone from giving it a listen. I will say, however, that as far as Jaime Rowe goes, he sounds even better on here than on AdrianGale, and I even prefer this album over the new AdrianGale.

Is there a physical release? If so, where can I purchase?

The album isn't officially released, yet. I believe they're still working on album art.

Just got my copy. Nice!

Where did you purchase your copy?

I was a Kickstarter supporter. I got the digital copy back in February, and they've finally shipped the disc. Which means it should be available soon.

    • Not much information on the video's page, other than it appears to be an AI creation. Once it gets into the verse and especially the chorus, it's actually not too bad IMO.
    • While I appreciate your interest in contributing to the site, most of the artists and albums you are submitting are either REALLLLLLY stretching the boundaries, or as in the case of this band, completely off the mark. No alternagrunge. No punk. No death metal/power metal (although those can be submitted to Brutal Metal). You can always start a thread asking about a particular artist before blindly submitting it for inclusion. Thanks! -Dan
