It's not often I start a topic in the Heavy Metal section but here's an album that is getting my attention based on a few snippets I've heard.

I know I've heard of Pyramze before but don't think I've heard much or any of their past work (just had a look - they have 2 previous albums listed on the main page).

Check out this song, really good stuff IMO.

This one maybe even better:

I actually quite like both of them. Not sure I will rush out to hear it, but it sounds pretty good to me.

Not for me....

Stick with Soto mate ?

Other websites are giving this really positive reviews, pretty consistently. Guess it's one for the metal crowd.

So ahhh what's the deal guys....? Your missing out, this ones got some very cool songs on it!

Love the first track, not so keen on the second. But as a complete sucker for a decent guitar solo, I might have to get this one.

I bought this the other day. I hadn't heard of the band before, but a bit of research revealed that most people really like the first two albums with Lance King on vocals. I remember him from Balance Of Power, and used to own one of their albums but got fed up with it after a while, So I checked out the first two Pyramaze albums with him singing, and also found them not to my taste... maybe his voice is a bit too "clean" for power metal.

But the new guy is more "metal", and this album really rocks!

    • Decent song but a bit too "Eurovision" for me. Maybe it'll grow on me.
