hardrockheaven
be careful, this bad ebay seller, "japanrarehunter" this seller has several ebay accounts for shill-bids. one of them is "mr.kim78" look the bid history of mr.kim78 http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...ted=1&all=1 when last day of any auction, this rip-off seller bid on his own auctions using the account mr.kim78 if the price is still low. for example, look a GNR auction from his previous auctions http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=260309956623 the second high bidder "k***m ( private )" is mr.kim78 i found he is now selling some stuffs : http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...e=-1&rdir=0 and found he is already bidding on his own items using mr.kim78. the current high bidder k***m ( private ) is him. Dead Planet
I've bought from him before without incident......but I guess that really doesn't mean a whole lot if he is driving up the bids on a few items.....
HighNDryRulz
I hate the way Ebay hides the identities of bidders, and makes us guess/figure out who it is. As shown in this thread, it's almost like they encourage the bidding up of items...... Hmmmm... I guess they WOULD make a little more $$$ that way.... Very curious.... hardrockheaven
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...ted=1&all=1 he won about 35 items from his own auctions. the second high bidder may get second chance offer from him (if he think the price is still good) or you may see them again when his next listings. Stefan
What an a**hole seller! Now these kind of sellers should be thrown of Egay and then give them lifetime suspension. On the other hand Egay probably don't care as long as they get their fee of the auctions... Bastards! (both of them)

HighNDryRulz
100% of mr.kim78's bidding activity is with japanrarehunter. Sure sign of a shill bidder: Why doesn't EGAY do something?
Studboy
I buy from him from time to time and I just won an auction from him yesterday, I've never had a problem. I don't think the point is that you will have a problem getting your CDs, the point is the guy is bidding his own CDs so you will end up paying what he wants you to pay for it if you do win it (because he is bidding on it too to jack the price up to what he wants to sell it for). glam_junkie
I wonder if that is the bloke I bought 'Cats In Boots - Demonstration' off earlier this year. I didn't win the auction, but I did recevie a 2nd chance offer. I remeber thinking it was a little suss at the time and looked to see if it was a shill bidder. From memory everything looked okay. Maybe it was a different seller, but that name looks very familiar.

hardrockheaven
i bought an cd from him a few weeks ago, got outbid, & then recived an 2nd hand offer the day after the auction was ended! of course, it is possible he has multiple copies of any item. but if the winnner of any item is mr.kim78 (or it is shown with k***m), it means he tried to rip you off. his previous seller id is rarehunter78 : http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...id=rarehunter78 it seems his birth year is 1978. and i am sure he was suspended by ebay because of his shill-bid activity. it seems he learned from previous experience how he can continue shill-bids without ebay suspension as he uses other paypal account / other computer when he sign in mr.kim78. Alexxtcatz
I bought from him 4 or 5 japanese cds and all was OK. BTW i have won all these cds more cheaply than from other sellers. Now I wait one cd from him which i won a week ago.

I bought a CD from this guy a few years ago and everything seemed ok - also the price -, but unfortunately I can't check anymore if this mr.kim78 was involved as well. Stefan
Here's an interesting article concerning shill bidding and other Egay problems. It is a long read but interesting. At the end there's a heap of other links analyzing Egay. AuctionBytes
