Xandria - Sacrificium 2014

I'm late to the party with this one and have just finished my 3rd spin of it.

 

If you're a fan of the heavier Nightwish with Tarja then you need to give this a listen. Loving thus cd.

lol, sorry mate, never even heard of either of them. I generally avoid this prog and metal forum but if I have a spare moment I like to cover everything, just in case something interesting pops up.

I'm pretty much a sucker for this type of stuff and Xandria are another on the list of pretty good bands. Like any other genre, they can all blend into each other and sound a little on the samey side at times, but this lot are definitely one of the better ones out there. I prefer Nightwish, Within Temptation, Tarja's solo and a few others over this, but it's pretty good and definitely worth a listen

i saw them with Delain & Sonata Arctica when then came to Mesa in october. it was a little club that held maybe a few hundred people at most. totally awesome.

i had never heard of them either, but now i am hooked... and diane, well she is deserving of her own wayne's world code word.

this is only her first album with xandria, but she's also in Ex Libris, which is more progressive than xandria's powermetal

For some reason, I managed to get Xandria mixed up with Amaranthe, so ignored them for a looooong time ... *hangs head in shame*
